At about nine in the night Edwin had just returned home. His face looks lethargic. Tired, tired mixed into one. Tired of course, because he had to go the extra mile when the personal assistant had to take care of all kinds of needs for the wedding that will be held next week.
In his heart Edwin cursed, but how else he had to go out of town to attend a seminar with another company.
With a shaky step he walked into the courtyard of the house. Since Kamila was at home, Edwin hired a security guard to keep Kamila and her son safe. What Edwin had in mind was the fear of something happening to Kamila and Ray, not worrying about his house which was certainly all valuable items.
When he got to the door, Mr. Ujang pressed the bell repeatedly because Edwin was sitting on the terrace chair.
Kamila hurried to open the door for her guests. Before it opened, he peeked out from the small glass hole that was in the door. When he found out his guest was Mr. Ujang, rushed Kamila to open the door.
"Ujang Pak. Mas Edwin his ma ... Uh, Mas! You why?" the question that will be thrown to Mr. Ujang was diverted when his gaze caught the figure of Edwin sitting languidly on the terrace chair.
Edwin moved from his seat with a smile. "Ah, it's okay! I'm just exhausted" he replied as he walked in.
Mr. Ujang entered after his master entered first, then went out again and said goodbye to Kamila to go home after putting Edwin's luggage.
There was a sense of worry in Kamila when he saw Edwin walking into the house. He followed her from behind to make sure. "Are you sure you're okay?!"
Edwin looked at it briefly while nodding. Not yet had he stepped far, his body collapsing instantly.
"Mas!" peekik Kamila's. Luckily he was able to catch Edwin's body before it fell to the floor. "Why you?" he looks worried and panicked. "Outdoor Ujang ... Sir Heru! Sir, help me!" call him to the driver and the security guard.
The two middle-aged men ran in shock from outside after hearing Kamila's screams. Not only were the two middle-aged men, the other two middle-aged also came out as Kamila shouted.
"Miss. Master why?" ask Mr. Ujang and Mr. Heru.
"No idea, sir! She suddenly fainted," Kamila said with her panicked face.
"Edwin. What's the matter, son?" Lady Herni and Mr. Huda looked anxious. "She has a fever" Herni sighed as she touched her son's forehead.
Edwin's body was immediately carried onto the sofa by the three middle-aged men, and Kamila took off her suit, shoes and socks.
Edwin's mother immediately rubbed his son's palms and feet using rubbing oil, while occasionally touching Edwin's forehead and cheeks that felt rather hot. While Kamila ran to the kitchen to take warm water that will be used to compress.
Edwin's body temperature was getting hotter, accompanied by shocks due to cold shivering. Edwin curled his body while muttering indistinctly.
"Hurry up, Doctor!" mr. Huda's orders were directly obeyed by Mr. Ujang.
Lady Herni continued to rub her son's head. "Wins. You're horrified Mami, son? Edwin ... Edwin!" ogre.
Kamila also looked anxious and panicked. "Mas. Don't scare me!" without feeling her tears down her cheeks.
Kamila wept in front of her father and mother Edwin. He was not aware of this and was seen by both parents Edwin who continued to pay attention to it until both of them smiled meaningfully.
Shortly thereafter, Dr. Frans arrived at Edwin's house. The young doctor immediately examined Edwin's alarming condition.
Edwin's body was carried back to the guest room so he could rest there undisturbed.
"Where's Doc? Is my son okay?" ask Mr. Huda.
"No need to worry, Mr. Huda. Edwin only had fever and fatigue" said Dr. Frans. "He will heal quickly as long as someone takes care of him at all times" he mocked Kamila who was sitting beside the bed.
Both Edwin's parents and Doctor Frans smiled in response to Kamila's statement, but the three did not show the smile in front of Kamila. That's what they wanted near Kamila and Edwin.
"Oh, thank you Young Madam Bagaskara. Edwin is lucky to have a beautiful and caring wife like you" praised Dr. Frans.
"Sorry, Doc! I'm bu-buk_" Kamila wanted to clear up the misunderstanding, but Mrs Herni interrupted.
"Sure Doctor! Edwin's wife is indeed the most considerate woman" he concluded.
"All right! Then I don't have to worry about him anymore, because there's his wife who is guarding. So do you, Mr and Mrs Bagaskara. You don't have to worry about your son, because someone has the right to take care of him!" doctor Frans chuckled.
Mr. Huda and Mrs Herni commented on the meaningful smile. Both of them took Doctor Frans out, after saying to Kamila. "Titip Edwin yes, Mila!"
"Ah, i-yes, Mom!" sahut Kamila was nervous.
After the three left, Kamila continued to look after and care for Edwin. The worried face was now disappearing little by little as Edwin's condition gradually improved.
The heat had gone down, the pale face had returned to normal, and his body was not shivering anymore. Kamila was really taking good care of Edwin until he forgot his son who slept alone because he was worried about Edwin's condition.
The right hour hand shows the number three in the morning. Edwin woke up from his sleep after his condition had improved. Thought Kamila who fell asleep with a sitting position beside the bed, her hand held Edwin's hand and the other hand held a cloth used to compress.
Edwin smiled seeing Kamila take care of him all night. It feels like Edwin's heart is flowery because it gets the attention of the woman he loves.
Slowly, Edwin got out of bed and carried Kamila's body to lie on the bed. He knew that falling asleep in such a position was uncomfortable and could make the waist hurt, because he had experienced it while waiting for Kamila in the hospital.
After laying Kamila's body on the bed, Edwin stepped into the bathroom to clean his body that felt sticky due to sweat.
Not long after he went out to Kamila's room to see Ray, because Edwin believed Kamila must have forgotten his little son because he was worried about him.
However, when he reached Kamila's room, his mother and father were there to accompany Ray.
Madam Herni who heard the sound of the door opening instantly woke up. "Edwin. Is it getting better, son?"
Edwin gave a small nod, then stepped into the room toward his mother. "When did Papi and Mami get here? Why didn't you tell me you wanted to go home today?!"
"Intentionally wanted to surprise. But it looks like we're the ones who're surprised," led by his mother.
Edwin chuckled as he put his head on his mother's lap. "What do you think of Mami? He's nice, isn't he?!"
"Very good. Mami and Papi agree that she's our daughter-in-law,"
"Really!" face looked.
"Sure, Son!"
Edwin's smile expanded with his warm embrace. "Thank you, Mommy!"
