Plakk!
"It's been brave against you huh," said the middle-aged man to a man who was none other than his son-in-law.
Edwin could only sigh heavily because his efforts to persuade the in-laws to no longer interfere in his household were in vain. He actually got a slap from his in-laws because it was considered against the will of the in-laws.
Edwin came home looking quiet, the lights in some rooms had been turned off the waiter, there was only a main light in the living room that was still on and some lights outside the house.
The man whose full name is Edwin Pranata is a 35-year-old businessman, has a handsome face, tall and dashing. He was perfect, but it was all for nothing because his life was unhappy.
Edwin immediately went to his main room to meet the wife he missed. Opening the door, Edwin saw that the room was dark and there were no lights to light it, only the balcony lights to be seen. Edwin pressed the switch, turned on the light to allow him to see the contents of the room.
Edwin smiled wryly seeing the bed in his room was still empty and neat, there was no figure of his wife there when it was late at night but the wife had not yet returned home.
Edwin wanted to be home every time he went to work, to be at home, to have dinner together, to talk about what he was doing today, or at least to spend time together before they went to bed.
But all is desire. Edwin repeatedly told his wife but the beautiful woman named Mona did not want to do all that. Mona is a career woman, for her career is more important than her husband Edwin.
Edwin felt himself unneeded by his wife. The beautiful woman was too independent even to meet her needs Mona never used the living money Edwin gave her.
Households increasingly bland Edwin felt because Mona never got pregnant and had children, it turns out the woman refused to get pregnant by taking contraceptive pills for almost ten years married.
Edwin laid his body on the bed after cleaning his body first in the bathroom.
Chequek. The door of the room opened, the figure of the wife who had just returned to work. Mona returns home at 11:00 p.m., making her husband wait for her.
"Just come home, honey?" edwin asked to sit back down his body that had collapsed.
Mona turned to Edwin and nodded, closing the door first, then approached the husband and sat on the bed.
"Eat already?" ask Mona.
"Then, last dinner with the client" replied Edwin.
Mona nodded.
"Tomorrow I have to go to Medan, the gallery that opened there will be inaugurated," said Mona, it was not a request for permission but a notice. Mona was telling Edwin about his departure tomorrow morning, because he didn't need Edwin's permission to do whatever he wanted. During this time Mona will go anywhere even though her husband does not allow it.
Edwin snorted as his wife really did not have time for him even tomorrow morning would go to Medan. Edwin wanted to forbid, but he memorized the habits of his wife who would still go even though he forbade.
"How many days?" ask Edwin.
"One week, and next week I'm back because papa's company needs me too."
"I also need you, Mona," said Edwin looking at Mona meaningfully, but Mona responded with a ruckus as if Edwin's words were just playful.
"You're used to me staying, Mom, you're okay when I stay anyway" Mona said.
"I've never been okay you stay, Mona, I want you to always be by my side, I'm rich now, I can support you even to our grandchildren without you having to work."
"But you're married, Mona, you can't keep going like this, you also have to serve me as your husband. Okay, I gave up on letting you work because my salary wasn't enough to support you, but now that I'm rich, you don't have to work anymore. I want you to use my money to meet all your needs."
Mona kissed a glimpse of Edwin's talking lips. "You know I'm an only child, Mom? I'm going to continue my parents' business so you can't prevent me from continuing to work."
"I can replace you with it."
"Can't, Mom, my parents don't believe in you" Mona said, making Edwin smile wryly.
Edwin chose to get off the bed he wanted to go to the balcony room, looking for a fresh breeze there. Talking to Mona always made Edwin sick, but he loved her very much.
Edwin abandoned his intentions when Mona spoke again.
"You should understand me, Mas, I can't leave the company and I can't leave my hobby either. Having a lot of painting galleries is my dream and you know it."
Edwin turned around, staring fixedly at the wife's eyes. "I wouldn't forbid you to work if you could manage time for me, but in fact you haven't had time at all even just dinner together we haven't done it in a long time. And as for the child, I want us to have a child soon, Mona."
"I'm not ready to have a child yet, Mas" Mona said.
"That's what you said." Again Edwin smiled wryly.
"When I was poor you said you weren't ready for fear that I couldn't support you. Now that I'm rich, you still say you're not ready. Actually what makes you not ready to have children, Mona, we've been married for almost 10 years" he continued.
"I'm not ready to be bothered with our son, Mas," Mona said, making Edwin cry in disbelief.
"You are quite pregnant and give birth to her, after which I will take care of her" Edwin said.
"But, Mas_"
"I'll take care of her, Mona!" exclaimed Edwin who could not stand Mona's attitude.
"While I'm pregnant and giving birth, I'm not ready, Mom."
"When will you be ready? You're 33, Mona, at that age a woman should be ready to get pregnant and have children. We've been married for almost 10 years, I want us to have children."
"I'm still busy with my work and gallery, Mas, wait another year or two I'll make sure we have kids."
Edwin flirted, he wanted to have a child now but the wife kept putting it off. Mona grabbed Edwin's hand and pulled him to the edge of the bed. They're sitting opposite there.
Mona kissed a glimpse of Edwin's lips, the man was still silent by looking at the wife's face without taking a single word.
"I promise you one or two more years I'll get pregnant and give birth to you."
