Not my Son's Dad

Not my Son's Dad
Chapter.128(Hello Doc)

"My handsome grandson! Look Dara, she's so funny...."

Sophia realizes Dara's cold demeanor even though she admits the baby's presence is starting to warm her heart. Dara still feels awkward and sometimes difficult to express her emotions sincerely.

"Well, Mami knows that this change may be difficult for you" Sophia said softly. "But believe me, with time, the bond between your mother and your child will be stronger. You will feel the love that grows in you more deeply."

Dara looked at the mother with a mixed gaze between doubt and hope. He felt an urge in his heart to try to open up and accept the changes.

"I'll try, Mami" said Dara slowly. "Maybe I just need some time to really feel this bond, but I'll try."

Sophia smiled understandingly. "That's all we can do for Dara. Give yourself a chance and let the love flow naturally. That baby brings miracles to your life, believe me."

Dara nodded, seeing her own mother now melt and change. The pungent tone of his mouth was now rarely heard. Dara tried to involve herself in the moment before her. He realizes that this process will not be easy, but he promises to open his heart and give his best to the baby who is now his responsibility.

Just then, Dara saw the baby smiling in her sleep, and little by little, her heart began to warm, filling the empty space with a new and irreplaceable love. Seeing only her smile, Dara smiled.

The pediatrician entered the room, and smiled to see Dara's condition getting better.

Dara, who felt a strong urge to get close to the baby, saw when the Doctor deftly examined her son.

" Hello Doc, can I hold him?" dara said to the doctor standing next to her hesitantly.

The doctor nodded with a gentle smile. "Of course, Dara. You as her mother have the right and privilege to feel her warm touch in your arms."

Dara felt her heart flutter with a mixture of excitement and worry. Her heart speaks to her to give love and care to the baby, but she still feels unsure of her abilities as a mother.

"Doctor, I feel a little awkward. Will I know how to carry a baby properly?" ask in a low voice.

The doctor gently placed a hand on Dara's back to provide support. "Don't worry, Dara. You are not alone on this journey. We will help you and provide guidance on how to carry your baby safely and comfortably. You'll learn, and over time, get more confident."

Dara smiled in relief at the doctor's words. She realized that motherhood was a continuous learning process, and she would take her first steps in holding the baby lovingly, as well as the mother beside her.

"Doctor, thank you" Sophia said sincerely. "With time Dara will be ready. He'll be ready to try. I hope you are Doc!"

"Of course Madam ... Call your doctor if you find it difficult and we will always help. I'm sure Dara can give her the best."

"Yes Doc ... I wish I could!"

The doctor nodded his spirits at Dara. "You've done your best, Dara. Prepare to experience a wonderful and precious moment with your child."

Dara, with a hopeful heart, finally reached out her hand and gently held the baby. She felt a small warmth in her chest as the baby responded with tenderness and calmness.

Back then, Dara realized that she might still have a lot to learn in her new role as a mother, but there is one thing he knows for sure his true love for the baby will never stop growing, and she will do everything to protect and love him with all her heart even though from the beginning Dara had difficulty accepting what the presence of the child was a gift or a calamity.

Dara, who was still in doubt about the state of the baby in the incubator, asked the doctor again. He really doesn't know what.

"Doctor, can this baby come out of the incubator? Is it okay for his health?" ask with concern.

Dara understood the doctor's explanation, but was still worried. "But would it not be better for a baby if he? Will she be comfortable in the incubator?"

The doctor explained gently, "Within, the incubator is designed to provide optimal conditions for the baby at this time. The incubator is equipped with technology that monitors the temperature, humidity, and oxygen levels that the baby needs. This helps ensure that the baby gets proper and safe care. In addition, the incubator also provides privacy and security for the baby from excessive external stimuli."

Dara pondered for a moment, understanding the reason behind the doctor's decision. He appreciated the expertise and attention given by the medical team to provide the best care for the baby.

"Doctor, forgive me for asking so many questions. And I believe in your decision that if it's best for this baby, then I will support it. I want this baby to grow up healthy and strong" he said with determination.

The doctor smiled appreciating Dara's awareness and understanding. "You are a caring and wise mother, Dara. Be patient and continue to support this baby. When the right time comes, the baby will come out of the incubator and you can hold it affectionately."

Dara felt a little relieved hearing the doctor's words. Although there was still some worry, she believed that the best decision had been taken for the benefit of the baby. His indifference faded even more, he felt close as he approached the tiny baby. Both of his eyes continued to stare at the writhing baby in his sleep. She promises to continue to support and love the baby as far as she can, be it inside or outside the incubator.

The doctor can see Dara's doubts and desires. Gently, the doctor who treated the son touched his arm. "Well, do you want to go home with this baby soon?"

Dara, who felt a little surprised by the question, thought for a moment. He never realized or thought in that direction.

Dara did not reply, but she looked hopeful, seeing Dara speechless with concern. Sophia took the initiative to answer. "Doctor, of course Dara wants to be home with this baby soon. Dara can't wait to give her all-time attention and affection. But maybe Dara also understands that this baby still needs special care here."

The doctor nodded his head, understanding Dara's feelings. "Yes ... Sure, Dara must still be confused and anxious. I appreciate your wish, Dara. We will do everything we can to ensure that this baby grows well and acquires a stable state. The medical team will continue to monitor the progress. When this baby's ready to go home, we'll let you know right away."

Sophia was a little relieved to hear the doctor's answer. He clasped her hands, strengthened Dara's heart and convinced her. Dara felt given hope and confidence that someday, the two of them will be able to go home together with better circumstances.

Although she still has to be patient, Dara is ready to provide as much support and affection as she can during this treatment process.

"Doctor, thank you for the attention and effort you put in. I will be better prepared to go through this process patiently and look forward to the day when we can go home together" Dara said with determination and more passion.

The doctor smiled gently, "You are a strong mother, Dara. Be patient and continue to give love to this baby. We will work together to ensure his health. Don't hesitate to ask questions or ask for help if you need it."

Dara was comforted by the support and attention of the doctor. He felt more steadfast in the face of this journey, knowing that he was not alone. She was determined to stay strong and give her best for the baby, while waiting patiently for their time to come home together to arrive.

Dara continued to stare at her sleeping son, "Dara, you are so lucky to have a husband like Blue. I see the support and care that Blue has shown you along this journey" said the Doctor who saw for himself how Blue struggles for Dara.

Dara smiled nodding, feeling happiness in her heart. He felt grateful for Blue's presence by his side in these difficult moments. "Blue seems very considerate and affectionate towards you and this baby. In a situation like this, having someone who is supportive and caring is a very meaningful thing. It can provide strength and calm for you during this journey" he continued.

Dara took a deep breath, contemplating the doctor's words. She is comforted and reminded of the importance of emotional support from her partner in dealing with difficult situations.

"Doctor was right, I'm so grateful to have Blue by my side. He not only gave me invaluable strength and support. But everything. We will go through this journey together" Dara said sincerely.

The doctor smiled understandingly, "I'm glad to hear that, Dara. Keep supporting and strengthening each other. Feel free to share your feelings and concerns with Blue. Good communication is the key to meeting these challenges together."

Dara nodded, understanding the importance of communication in their relationship. He promises to continue to talk to Blue and support each other in the face of this journey.

The doctor gave a final smile before leaving the room, leaving Dara with a more positive thought. Inwardly, Dara is grateful for Blue's presence and is committed to continuing to build a strong relationship with her husband as they move forward on the journey of parenthood.

Sophia nodded while looking at the Doctor who kept walking away. "Doctors can judge how good Blue is to you and your son Dara!"
