Not Your Perfect Prince

Not Your Perfect Prince
Gratitude

The next morning.

After breakfast together, Reinhart decided to practice in the backyard because the snow fell quite heavily.

Professor Elin once said that most great and powerful knights are those who have forged themselves through various extreme exercises. Not only training, most of them also often fought on the line between life and death.

Obviously, as a peaceful youth and living in safety, Reinhart did not choose the last option. He preferred forging himself with different types of training. Perhaps due to the influence of his teacher, now he began to enjoy different types of exercises.

Reinhart's figure looked so striking. In the spacious backyard and filled with white. The young man was only wearing shorts while swinging his sword. Ignoring the snow falling on his body.

"Sister Reinhart!!!"

The voice surprised Reinhart who was focusing on practicing. Looking at the source of the voice, he saw the figure of Edsel and Edward accompanied by their two servants, Lulu and Lala.

Both boys were wearing winter clothes. Their faces were somewhat red due to the cold wind that hit them. But instead of shivering in the cold, they looked excited. Even Reinhart saw the two carrying two training swords made of wood.

"What are you doing here?"

Reinhart raised her eyebrows. His expression looked cold. But Edsel and Edward were not at all afraid. They answered kindly.

"We will train with you, Brother Reinhart!"

"Yes! It must be better together than alone, Brother Reinhart!"

"You shouldn't have said that, Edward. It's like saying that Brother Reinhart is lonely."

"I didn't say that at all, Edsel. You're the one who suddenly talked about it."

"..."

Seeing the two boys arguing, Reinhart fell silent. Especially when it came to knowing that the two plain brats actually thought of him as a lonely wolf who had no friends or lovers.

'Even though there aren't many friends, I still have them, man! Don't talk as if I'm so pathetic!'

Reinhart took a deep breath. The young man then approached the two while saying.

"Enough. Stop fighting."

Arriving in front of his two younger siblings, Reinhart immediately said with a flat expression.

"Your physiques are still too weak. You should not practice in this weather before completing basic training.

If not, you might have a fever. That kind of carelessness should not be done. So you guys go."

"But ..."

Edsel's words choked when he saw Reinhart staring at them with a serious expression.

Of course, Reinhart who saw her two younger siblings felt a little helpless. He did not expect, the slight attention from him actually made his two younger siblings constantly try to approach him. That's not a bad thing. The thing is, he himself has a target to achieve during the holidays.

That's because, the time has begun to thin. Next school year, Mary will arrive and the canon will begin. Although he did not know how far apart the original story would be, Reinhart had to prepare for various dangers.

"How about this. You two want to play with brother, don't you? Then brother will take his time.

Except for Sundays where I need to rest, relax, and enjoy my own time. On other days, you can play to my room after lunch until afternoon.

Not for long, but it's better than you guys pacing around unclearly and trying dangerous things, isn't it?"

"Is that true, Brother Reinhart?" ask Edsel.

"Of course it's true."

"Promise?" added Edward.

"Yes." Yeah." Reinhart nodded.

"Sister can't break a promise. Good nobles don't break their promises."

Edsel said with a serious expression that did not match his age. It made Reinhart smile while shaking her head.

"You're wrong. Not just nobles. However, everyone.

Good people cannot break their promises."

"We're taught!" say the two in unison.

Looking towards his two younger siblings, Reinhart once again nodded. He then looked at the two maids with a flat expression.

"Lulu, Lala .. bring them both back. Make sure they go study and don't make trouble."

"Well, Prince Reinhart!" answer the two in unison.

Seeing the four of them leave, Reinhart let out a long sigh. He then saw the figure of Isana who was just standing observing.

"What's up, Isana?"

Hearing Reinhart's question, Isana who was originally just silent opened her mouth.

"At the sight of you acting kindly to your two sisters, I think ... Your attitude like that is not bad either."

"So, all this time I've been acting bad and too cold?" ask Reinhart coldly.

"No! I mean, compared to usual, Prince—'s attitude"

Hearing Reinhart's cold question, Isana was a bit panicked. But when he saw the stifled smile on the handsome young man's face, he was stunned.

"Pff! Sorry, I really can't stand it."

Reinhart chuckled. Looking towards Isana, he continued.

"You look so stiff, I can't bear to tease you.

You have accompanied me for a long time, Isana. Maybe you also understand me better than family, or maybe myself. So, don't keep your distance too much.

You know what, Isana? You mean so much to me. So, I feel grateful and want to say ..."

Gazing towards Isana with a soft and brighter smile than usual, Reinhart said.

"It's good that you're by my side, Isana!"
