The Lost Memory
Feelings of worry, fear, and guilt come back to haunt Evan. He immediately took Alexa to the hospital after the woman collapsed on the side of the highway.
Luckily, though a motorcycle grazed his body. Alexa only suffered blisters in some parts of the body and minor injuries. However, Evan guessed that the woman fell unconscious from shock.
Alexa received immediate medical care after arriving at the hospital. Because the Alexa family is one of the biggest donors in this hospital, Alexa can get VIP class care as well as special services.
"How's he doing, Doc? Is Miss okay?" evan asked a female doctor who had just checked on Alexa.
"It looks like Miss Alexa just went into shock. He'll soon be conscious. Don't worry" replied the doctor.
Evan could breathe with relief. He went into the treatment room and found Alexa lying down with an infusion tube in her hand.
Evan sat down near Alexa, touched the woman's hand and held it.
"I'm sorry I made a mistake the second time" Evan murmured with a lowered head. Guilt is getting over it.
Because it just so happens that both Alexa's parents are out of town, then they can only arrive in a few hours. Evan has told me and apologized for his negligence to put Alexa in danger.
From minute to minute, Evan continues to be next to Alexa. But the woman did not open her eyes, making Evan become more anxious.
After nearly two hours, Alexa moved her hands and opened her eyes slowly.
"Miss! Missis! You're aware" said Evan. He immediately took off Alexa's hand and called the doctor. Soon, the doctor came and went back for a checkup.
The doctor said Alexa was fine. He did not experience any disturbance or effect from the accident. However, it is clearly visible if Alexa has trauma over the incident. The woman complained of headaches and excessive anxiety.
To restore his health, Alexa was asked to remain anonymous for several days until his condition improved.
"Miss, I'm sorry" Evan said softly. He was relieved Alexa had regained consciousness, but he felt guilty because all this was his fault.
"How dare you apologize to me after everything you've done?" ask Alexa with ketus.
"Do you know what your mistake was?" ask Alexa.
"I ... I'm ...." Evan could not answer. He couldn't possibly say that this was all because he kept rejecting Alexa's love statements and got her out of the car and on foot on the highway.
"Where have you been for the last fifteen years? You just left without any news, not even trying to make me remember you!" exciting Alexa.
"Alexa," said Evan. Instantly, the two men's eyes glazed over. His heart is beating so fast. Evan was shocked by what Alexa had just said.
"Where have you been all this time, Evan? You don't want to give me an answer?" ask Alexa again.
"I'm sorry" said Evan. The man wiped the tears that accidentally dripped down his cheek.
"Don't keep apologizing, give me an explanation!"
"You remember what happened fifteen years ago? I left after we had an accident. My uncle told me to study outside the island. I left because I was scared, I left because I felt guilty for making you lose your memory" Evan explained.
"You should've tried to make me remember you!" alexa is upset.
Evan clasped Alexa's hand, begging her to forgive him.
"I've made the same mistake. Will you forgive me again? For my past mistakes and my mistakes this time?" ask Evan.
Suddenly Alexa cried, both of her cheeks flooded with happy tears. He immediately pulled Evan and hugged the man.
"Even though I never remember you, but I miss you so much" Alexa said in her tears.
