Old Love Hasn't (Surely) Returned

Morning as usual Annisa leaves early because she knows Reenan will leave today for the next 4 days.

"Hey?" greet Joshua as he sees Annisa sitting at his desk.

"Hi too,"

"Good news?" ask Joshua again.

"That's fine" Annisa said with a smile.

"Not to mention, other news" said Joshua while raising his eyebrows.

"What?" ask Annisa confused.

"Come on, Reenan told me"

"If you've been told why you're still asking me?"

"Just want to" said Joshua nosy.

Annisa was really lazy in responding to this man in front of her.

"You know what?" say Joshua again.

"No" said Annisa quickly.

"Gee! The job out of town this time was supposed to be 1 week, but suddenly your boss called me to compress his entire schedule and it should be finished in 4 days" Joshua explained.

"Wow, surely you will be very tired," said Annisa showing a face that pretended to be sad.

"You think?" joshua said as he walked into Reenan's room.

In the room Reenan was struggling with his ipad, Reenan even ignored Joshua who was already standing across from Reenan's desk.

"Let's go!" said Joshua.

Reenan nodded and immediately put some documents into his briefcase.

"Come,"

"No favor to the future wife?" ask Joshua jahil.

Joshua smiled broadly while Reenan only smiled at Joshua's question.

"I'm leaving first" Reenan said as he sat at Annisa's desk.

"Alright, be careful on the road" Annisa said sincerely.

"I also go first" said Joshua, Annisa just sniffed her shoulders indifferently.

"Okay, you're like that to me huh, now we're a riot!" joshua said passing away with a bent face.

"She's been eating the wrong drug or her nerves are a bit affected?" annisa muttered looking at Joshua's behavior.

Time passed so quickly, the office hours left 5 minutes, Annisa immediately tidied up all the items and prepared to go home.

The heavy rain that had been pouring down on the city since morning grew heavier with the twilight that came in the afternoon, Annisa sighed resignedly, saying, he had sent a message to his sister to pick him up but seeing rain conditions like this would definitely take quite a long time for his sister to get here.

Annisa ran through the rain to head to the stop near the office. He would wait for his sister at the stop to make it easier, Annisa thought.

Tin.....

The sound of the car horn averted Annisa's eyes from the screen of the cellphone that had been held since earlier.

"Come in!" Someone shouted from inside the car, Annisa narrowed her eyes to clarify her vision.

"No, thank you," Annisa refused politely.

Dammar. The man who called Annisa from the car turned out to approach her.

"Let me drive home," Damar bargained as he arrived in front of Annisa.

"No, my sister will be here soon" replied Annisa.

"Then just wait in the car, it's cold and dangerous to be alone, let alone a girl!"

"No, I'm just here, Andi's here in a minute" Annisa refused again.

"All right, I'll stay here until your sister gets there" Damar positioned himself next to Annisa.

Before sitting down, Damar took off his suit and put it on Annisa's shoulder, of course Annisa was shocked but also did not refuse because her body was cold.

"Where's your lover?" ask Damar later.

"Out of town,"

"Oh," Damar's response was brief.

The two of them sat quietly waiting for Andi who had not come since.

"Is my chance really over?" ask Damar suddenly.

Annisa just kept quiet not wanting to answer Damar's question.

"Give me a little more time to prove that I really don't want to lose you!"

"Sorry," said Annisa.

"That regret always comes too late, doesn't it?" damar asked Annisa and himself.

"If you do not lose, you also will not know if someone will be more valuable when he has decided to leave and not come back again" Annisa said along with coming the car driven by his sister.

"I'm sorry, thank you for the suit" Annisa handed Damar's suit and immediately ran to his car.

"It hurts so bad" Damar murmured while looking at Annisa's car which was getting away and disappeared from his eyes.

Towards the night Annisa sat in her bed while turning on her laptop to listen to the song she played from youtube.

"What's he doing there?" annisa muttered while looking at the name on her phone.

Reenans. Annisa hesitates to contact him first, fearing that he will interfere with the work or rest of the man who is away from her.

But suddenly his phone rang signaling an incoming call. Annisa fluttered and then set her breath to lift the call.

They talk long enough, stale bases ask each other how the day they live, but it still feels stiff and disinclined, Annisa still could not dispel the fact in her mind that Reenan was still the boss at work.

"Have you had dinner?" ask Annisa.

"Have it, just relax don't sound like you're my subordinate!" reenan sounded amused.

"I'm not used to this!" Annisa grunted in annoyance.

"Customize! send a message if you're free, call if you're relaxed, I'll reply to you right away,"

"All right, I'll try it" Annisa said with a smile on her face.

"Nothing to tell me?" ask Reenan.

"No, that's enough and I'm sleepy too!"

"Sleep, I'll close the call,"

"Hmmm"

Annisa immediately put down her phone and turn off her laptop, her eyes suddenly sleepy because of tired and rain that has not subsided.

When drowsiness hit his eyes suddenly the call to enter again made him awake.

"Yes hello?" asked Annisa without hiding her sense of regret.

"Annais?" call someone from across the phone.

"I'm kevin Damar's friend" said a man who introduced himself as a friend of her ex-husband.

"What's? What's the need to call me at night?" annisa is getting upset.

"I'm in a drunken room, I can't leave my club right now, so if you don't mind picking him up, he's been saying your name all the time so I'm calling you" Kevin explained.

"Is his friend just you? Just call his other friend, not me! I don't have anything to do with him anymore!" annisa said emotionally and immediately closed her phone call.

Annisa again laid herself on the bed, she just turned her back because suddenly her sleepiness went somewhere, she said,

"I'd love to curse, I'll beat him up if I meet him later!" annisa.

Her heart remained unbearable upon hearing the news of her ex-husband lying helpless and mentioning her name.

Annisa gets ready to pick up Damar at the club, though she has to go through all sorts of lies to her parents but Annisa finally gets permission to go alone tonight.

"I'll kill you Damar!" annisa nyalang.
