"Wait in the basement, yeah," Joey said as he opened the car door and stepped his foot out.

"I'll call you when you're done" he said, exiting the car.

Shortly after Joey's car drove into the basement, there was an Alphard that stopped at the Tower Williams Production lobby, where Joey wanted to meet Luca. The driver of the Alphard got down and opened the door.

"Please come in, Mba," said the driver.

Joey looked in the car. There was an unfamiliar old man in his eyes. Ravi Ravindra is his father-in-law.

Without lingering, Joey stepped foot and entered the Alphard. A moment later, the car door closed and the driver entered the car going in a direction that Joey did not know where he would be taken.

Ravi sat haughtily and her puffed-up chest with eyes looking straight ahead as she was reluctant to look sideways at her daughter-in-law. He crossed both hands to his chest.

"Happy? Can you marry my son?" ketus Ravi cold. The aged man asked in a mocking tone and sounded trivial.

From the old man alone, Joey can feel his dislike in-laws on him. Even so, Joey tried to understand. Because after all, that man was his father-in-law. He must confront the man and find a way to get Ravi Ravindra to accept him as his son-in-law.

“Iya. I am happy and happy to be the daughter-in-law of—”

“Ck! I never once thought of you as my son-in-law,” cut Ravi haughtily.

Joey swallowed his saliva which suddenly tasted bitter. He sighed trying to control his emotions so as not to be lured to the arrogance of his in-laws.

“I have found the best doctor for my paralyzed son,” said Ravi coldly with an expressionless face and a slightly raised head up. “There is a chance for Rain to heal and walk normally.”

“But, you should have her meet and receive an arranged marriage with Sara Walters.”

Shortly after listening to his father-in-law's words, there was a feeling of joy and sadness that was raging and mixed in the chest. He felt happy because the man he loved could walk back to normal. “Lucas Williams. Williams Production chief director” Ravi throws his gaze out the window, lacing the rain stubs that drenched the metropolis. “I'll make his name broken for accepting a would-be singer by spending a hot night with a girl named Joey Ainsley.”

Joey's getting less and less gritty. How could the father-in-law whom he originally wanted to honor be so cruel and heartless? He thought that if he accepted to meet the man, he would take the heart of his father-in-law and behave as well as his son-in-law's attitude towards his father-in-law. Buty? He even received a threat that was very detrimental to him.

“Two victims here. My husband and Mr. Luca,” Joey murmured softly in his heart.

Joey was confused half dead. If he followed his feelings, it was clear he did not want Rain to meet a beautiful woman who had a myriad of achievements. But, if he follows common sense, he must do it for the good of the Rain he loves and to keep Luca's unconnected good name in this matter.

Joey chuckles a little. He laughed at his weak and helpless self and laughed at his stone-hearted father-in-law.

“Did you ever feel a little what love is?” attack Joey suddenly. No matter where he got his courage, the words came out of his mouth. His trembling lips held back the anger as well as his tensed eyes stared at Ravi.

“Ck! Young people like you know what about love?” tukas Ravi. “Conscious, love is misleading.”

“You will thank me one day if you listen to me.”

“Thank you? For what?” joey is not happy. “I was sad to see the Father who was very very rich but his heart was poor and arid.”

“I wonder why Mrs Luna Ravindra loves a poor man like Father,” joked Joey so boldly.

Some time ago, the presence of Anya Shailendra in her life and Rain alone was very frustrating and depressed. Even he had to lose the fetus that he and Rain had been waiting for. Then, why would he now have to let go of another new woman present between him and Rain?

“Do as you please,” Ravi said without further ado. “If Rain, my son, I can't make a successor and embarrass me, I don't hesitate to get rid of him.”

Joey slips. His eyes were perfectly rounded and his heart was racing. Is that man really her husband's father? Why is the man so hurtful and even thought he would get rid of his own child for the ambition he had?

With a riled up and worried feeling, Joey got off the luxury car without saying a word. He walked onto the sidewalk with a beautiful look. An empty and distant look. While the Alphard has been cruising down the road.

The girl stopped at an empty stop. Then he sat at the stop breathing heavily.

Drrttt…

Phone's vibrating. Joey pulled his phone out of the bag. Listed name ‘Love of My Life’ on mobile screen. His face was originally sad, slowly smiling despite the smile he forced.

“Halo, Dear?”

Joey frowned. How could the man know of his current whereabouts? He doesn't even know where he is now?

“Om know where?”
