One Piece: Two Souls In One Body
the priest can move mountains

POV Narrator

How could he defeat this thing? It's worse than with Teach! The bastard did not take a single blow.

Why not attack? It speaks big, though. As grunting. He looked from the corner of his eyes towards Lucia. Meanwhile, the beast seemed to have left.

He also made sure that he was always face to face with the demons. But all of a sudden she heard Lucia's voice? Is he crazy in the square now? Why would he draw all the attention to himself, if he did the same.

With one difference, he could fight! He ignored the fact that he did not get a single blow.

POV Lucia

I stood up and walked towards the demon. Passing Ace and attracting the attention of the devil. He growled and remained in place attentively, as if he knew something had changed.

I smiled, as if he had lost all his terror. "Strike me if you can" I said calmly to her. Ace had now realized that I was not behind him anymore and was looking at me like I had lost my mind.

Maybe I have. Satan growling. But he didn't attack. He's retreating closer to me. "Do you not want to fight?" I asked him. "LUCIA GET OUT OF THERE!" I heard Ace roar.

Ignored him. "You can't do it, can you?" I asked him. Ace speechless. "As you say, this is the dream world, the world of our dreams, you can change and ruin it, but you can't create it yourself" I'm quoted as saying.

I closed my eyes and filled the void with images: a meadow on the edge of the forest, sunlit and peaceful. I can feel the warmth and smell of flowers. A peaceful place.

I remember my mother's words and story again. "You only have the power we give you. We invite you in through our pain and you hold us back with our own doubts." I feel that the devil is getting more agitated.

"A wise woman once told me that we create our own reality. And that's what happened, isn't it? A child, utterly terrified, was carrying his dead brother. He was alone and abandoned by the world.

But how can a child understand the arbitrariness of death? To give meaning to emptiness, he does what all children do.

They create monsters in the dark. And no one told this frightened child that monsters didn't exist, that everything would be fine.

He believed in monsters and created them: all his pain and despair formed within you and was directed against real monsters in history, those who did not help, who left him.

And in the end against himself, because he couldn't help either. You fatten yourself to fear and doubt, and with each new villager falling under your charm, you become more real, more alive, and more alive, because everyone is starting to believe that you exist.

Not right? True enough to live, survive, even without them. Until someone new comes and falls under your spell." I said it calmly. The devil sizzled and attacked me. Ace wanted to run towards me but he wouldn't reach me first.

I smiled and closed my eyes. I locked away all doubt and fear, here I am safe, in this meadow I played with my brothers as a child.

I play with flowers and climb trees. I believe that the whole world is mine and there is nothing I cannot reach.
