Chapter 10 New House

After delivering Medina to his house, Mark immediately slid into Kai's office. Mark is Kai's personal assistant, it doesn't take long for Mark to finally get to the office.

"Sorry Kai, I'm late" Mark exclaimed as he walked into Kai's room.

"Where have you been?"

"I had bad luck waking up because last night I was staying up" Mark lied.

"Don't stay up a lot, you better find a partner so you're not lonely" said Kai.

"I've got a partner, Kai."

Kai who was checking the files immediately raised his face and looked towards Mark.

"Do you have a partner? who's? why didn't you introduce her to me?" ask Kai.

"Let's go, when it's time to tell you."

"So the story wants to play with secrets?"

"Open it up Kai, if it's not time yet" Mark said.

"Yes, it's up to you. Oh right, Mark, today you have to go with me somewhere."

"Where?"

"Just come along."

Kai tidied up the files and started to get up from his seat.

"Let's go, let's go" Kai asked.

Mark frowned, he was confused actually Kai wanted to take him where. Finally, Mark followed Kai and got into Kai's car.

"Street, sir."

"Ready, Sir."

Private driver Kai started driving away from the office, actually Mark was still confused but he chose to stay silent and did not ask much.

Until a while later, Kai's car entered an elite and luxurious residential area.

"Where are we going, Kai? do we have a client meeting here?" ask Mark.

Kai doesn't answer Mark's question, Kai only reveals his smile makes Mark more curious.

"Sir, we stop in front of that white gate" Kai exclaimed.

"Good, Sir."

The driver stopped his car right in front of the magnificent mansion.

"Let's go out" Kai asked.

Mark got out of the car and followed Kai into the big house. Mark until gaping to see the contents of the house, the house is very large and in it is complete with luxury furniture that looks very expensive it.

"Whose house is this, Kai?" ask Mark.

"How's Mark, is Medina gonna love seeing this house?" kai shouted with a smile.

Mark gawked, he was still digesting Kai's words.

"You mean, this house-----?"

"Yes, this is my house and I bought this house without the knowledge of anyone including Medina. I just wanted to give a surprise to Medina, do you think Medina would like it?" exclaim Kai.

"L-yes, he will be very happy" said Mark with an annoyed heart.

"Look, I also painted this house in Medina's favorite color."

Mark watched every corner of the house, indeed the house was painted with the favorite white color of Medina.

"I hope that with me and Medina moving into this house, I can get a baby that I've been craving for a long time," said Kai.

Mark is seen clenching his hands, he really hates that Kai has talked about the problem of baby in front of him.

"Mark, how are you gonna shut up?" yelled Kai with a pat on Mark's shoulder.

"Ah yes Kai, the house is very nice and I'm sure Medina will like it" Mark said with a forced smile.

Kai seemed to smile happily, he realized that he had been too busy taking care of the company and Kai rarely had time for his wife Medina.

After showing Mark his new home, Kai invites Mark to return to the office.

"Luna, come here for a minute, son," call Mama Arini.

"Mom, Luna go there first."

"Dear, then I'll go straight to the kitchen."

Luna immediately approached Mama Arini who was currently sitting relaxed in the family room.

"What's the matter, ma'am?"

"Sit down."

Luna was sitting next to Mama Arini, slowly Mama Arini rubbed Luna's stomach.

"How's the test?"

"Thank God everything is fine, Madam, even Luna's child is healthy."

"Don't call Madam, you're now Mama's daughter-in-law."

"No Madam, I am afraid of being flabbergasted again and making Mr. Kai and Mrs Medina angry" said Luna, bowing her head.

Mama Arini clasped Luna's hand. "I'm sorry Kai, he does love Medina so much that Kai is blind and can't tell which ones are sincere and which ones are just pretend."

"What does Madam mean?" luna asked not understanding.

"Luna, to be honest, my husband and I never wanted Kai to marry Medina. Their family is crazy treasure, even Kai has spent a lot of money to fulfill all the wishes of Medina and her parents."

Mama Arini looked at Luna expectantly. "Luna, Mama please hold on as Kai's wife. We've wanted a grandchild for a long time and Medina couldn't grant our wishes, she always said she wasn't ready" said Mama Arini.

"But Mr. Kai did not expect this child, Madam," said Luna.

"You don't think about Kai, just don't worry because we'll always stand up for you."

"Thank you, Madam."

Mama Arini hugged Luna, while Bi Sum who saw from a distance felt very happy because although Kai did not want Luna and her child, but at least both of Kai's parents loved Luna.

Evening arrived, Kai happily immediately cleaned up his things because this afternoon Kai planned to invite Medina to see their new home.

"Mark, help you finish my work because I have to go home soon, I will take Medina to see the new house will definitely be very happy," Kai exclaimed with a fluffy smile.

Kai hurriedly left his office. Kai immediately headed for his in-laws' house because Medina was there right now.

Arriving in front of his in-laws' house, Kai decides to wait in the car and does not stop by first. After a while, Medina got out of her house and got into Kai's car.

"Where are we going, man?" ask Medina.

"Somewhere, I'm sure you'll be surprised and happy" said Kai.

Medina just rolled her eyeballs off guard, actually she already knew where Kai wanted to take her to because Mark had told her this afternoon.

Kai starts driving his car to his new home, during the trip Kai invites Medina to chat but unfortunately, Medina is just busy playing her phone without caring about Kai's babble.

So a while later, Kai's car arrived at his new home.

"Let's get out."

Medina keeps her phone and out of Kai's car, Kai grabs Medina's hand and takes her inside the mansion.

"Darling, do you like it?" kai asked with a hug on Medina from behind.

"Like."

"You know, I've been preparing this house for a long time. I was going to tell you on your birthday, but it's a shame you had an accident and I had to keep this surprise until you were healed" Kai exclaimed.

"What is this house in my name?" ask Medina.

"Whoa, dear, who else's name" said Kai.

Medina is seen sharing her smile, Kai releases his embrace and turns Medina's body to face her.

"Dear, I'm sorry. I realized I was too busy with work, so I rarely pay attention to you but from now on I promise, I will not be busy anymore and on weekends, I will not be overtime. Anyway on weekends, I'll be at home with you."

Kai pulls Medina's body into his arms, Kai is so very happy but different from Medina who looks unhappy at all.

"You're too late, you know, the attention I wanted wasn't now. And now I'm comfortable with Mark, so whatever you do, it won't make me happy" Medina said.

At first Medina does love Kai, but since Kai is busy with his work, Medina becomes lonely. Kai rarely comes home, even Kai often travels on business trips out of town and abroad and from there, Mark began to come and fill the void of Medina's heart.
