Mahakam River is still a frightening specter for residents who pass by. Many stories and mystical events will be the appearance of a kuntilanak figure with eyes full of anger. Only a handful of people know that during her life the woman had ever conceived a baby that she had not yet been born. The death of her and the child in her womb coincided with the birth of Semi when she was born by Diah.

Tolu sees Semi's eyes store supernatural energy that makes him pursued by a kuntilanak figure who wants to take his soul. Ms. Diah was just a victim to lure the figure behind Semi's eyes.
