Pang Sagoe, Make me your Wife!!!

Pang Sagoe, Make me your Wife!!!
Who's Nama???

The soldiers set up a checkpoint at the end of the village. I was with my friends having my day as usual. Every morning go to the rice fields then before our zuhr back and will continue after the zuhr until the time of Asar arrived. That was my routine all along and there was not the slightest disturbance until the army post was there for these few days.

Some of my friends who are single start to look different every time we go to the rice fields, “You guys why else these few days?” ask me when we go to the fields.

“Other why, Mah?” Ask Kulsum.

“Iya, Mah. What else do you mean?” masyitah timbal.

“You look cleaner and wear lipstick huh?”

“Oh this to protect lips, Mah. Let not dry.” Salbiah. Rahmah nodded her head as if understanding but in her heart was still wondering about the change of her three old friends.

“Eh, you know that the brothers are still looking for Pang Sagoe?” salbiah asked to make Rahmah suddenly stop and look at her friends.

“Pang Sagoe?” ask Rahma half-whispered.

“Iya. I heard it myself from a soldier brother who was in a post near my house. They believe that currently Pang Sagoe was injured during the battle that night.” Salba added back.

“The soldiers followed the trail of blood all the way to our village so they set up a post in our village to capture Pang Sagoe.”

“If indeed Pang Sagoe is injured and runs to our village, your home is the only place he can go. You sure she's not going to your house, Mah?” search Salbiah.

“Yes not! I'll throw him out myself if he comes to my house. You know my furniture has been destroyed by the rampage of the soldiers. I will never forgive the soldiers who destroyed my furniture. I swear their household will be destroyed like my furniture destroyed.” Rahmah's words make Kulsum, Masyitah and Salbiah mutually lyrics.

“Come! Don't talk about their business. What is important for us now is to go to the rice fields looking for money. Let it be their business, we take care of ourselves.” Rahmah went first with her friends.

For more than a week, soldiers have been patrolling regularly. Even occasionally they stopped at my house even though no one cared because my mother and father did not like them including me and my sisters. After they surprised us that night, they still wished to be treated kindly by us? Don't hope!

I looked at them with hateful eyes. “Dek, sell duck eggs?” ask a soldier to me who's giving duck feed.

“No!”

“Abang to buy can?”

“No!”

“Why?”

“For self-feeding.”

“That's a lot, Brother buy five only, can?”

“No! We eat a lot.” Instead of being angry at my answer, the soldier chuckled.

“You're funny too yeah. Whatis yourname? Brother Name, Heru.”

“No ask!”

“Beautiful-beauty, later difficult mate.”

“Stupid God's business.”

“But I want to be your soul mate.”

“I don't want.” The soldier chuckled.

“Why? Am I less handsome?”

“Iya!”

“Wah, only you told me so. I wonder, if I am less handsome then who do you think is handsome?”

“Someone who is in my heart.”

“Who is it?”

Father and mother were making medicinal herbs and then they called out to me. “Please put this on his arms, chest and calves yes!” I nodded in understanding.

Then I went into my room with my mother. Mom helped shift the bed then I descended into the basement through a new hole made by my father under my bed. A man was lying on his side due to a back injury, and his right arm made him unable to sleep on his back.

I've been assigned by my father for a few days to take care of the man because his friend had gone away from the village when he knew the soldiers would set up a post there. During that time, I was in charge of taking care of that man because I didn't want anyone to be suspicious if I didn't see him. Hence, the father often slept in the front hut of the house to eliminate the suspicion of the soldiers who often passed through my house.

“Bang, sleep huh? I'd like to put a new drug.” I said in a small voice.

The man opened his eyes. As usual, I helped him sit down and I immediately did my job. “That Brother's friend is unfaithful. Why did he leave Brother alone here?” I said relax while cleaning the already dry medicine.

“You said it because you like it?” I looked at the man.

“I said it because he deserves to be told. He said best friend but left when his best friend was sick like this.”

“Abang asked him to leave. It would be dangerous for him who is still healthy if he gets caught. If I get caught, he should stay safe to continue our fight.”

“Whose Brother's name?”

“Ck, why suddenly ask my name? Aren't you afraid to know who I am?”

“What is Whose Brother? I was just afraid of the angel of death who came suddenly to pick me up without having time to say.”

“Name Brother, Ilham. The Teuku Muhammad Ilham. Anything else you want to know?”

“Abang really Pang Sagoe?”

“If yes, why? Are you scared?”

“Yes is okay. Want Pang Sagoe, want Pang-Pang, no effect for me.”

“Smart once said. How old are you?”

“Why ask age? Want to lamar, huh? I'm ready to apply.” The man rattled my black hair. Don't ask me how my heart is right now. My heart skipped a beat as if the blood supply in my body was reduced. My legs felt limp let alone seeing the man smile at me.

“Why silence? Are you ready?”

“Eh,” I realized when he called me while touching my arm at a glance.

“What are you thinking? Scared after knowing who you're talking to?”

My lips pursed as I glanced at the man with such confidence. “For what am I afraid of my brother? I press once like this Brother is already in pain.” Sure enough, the look on Ilham's face instantly changed as I idly pressed against the wound on his chest.

I was surprised when his hand pulled my hand and my body immediately hit that innocent body. The look in his eyes hit my heart and made me look down. I couldn't look him in the eye, I had trouble breathing right now.

“Do you like your best friend Brother?”

“No!” steady answers. Don't know this guy if I like him. It's him I like not his friend.

“Good. Now finish your job!” he took off my hand without any clarity from his actions that had already brought me cold heat.

“Why did you sniff out the army earlier? Doesn't every girl like them?”

“That's not me.”

“Why don't you like them?”

“Because I already like others.”

“Oh yes. Who?”
