Section 67: Women at the End of the Gang

"Ms Night." Ranti greeted him, the woman who was standing at the end of the alley, precisely the entrance of the rumah alley, happened to be today she had to overtime and go home tonight, it was ten o'clock, but the alley of her house was deserted. Because it is a neighbor who has a small child, never let the child or himself hang out at night, be that lonely.

Usually when you go home at night, Ranti is always picked up by her husband, but today her husband takes care of their child because the mother-in-law who used to look after Ranti's child is having business.

The woman who was called just nodded, she was actually turning her back to Ranti, because Ranti would pass her, for just courtesy finally greeted, honestly Ranti did not know.

Ranti does not know the people in the house alley, it's all because she is a working mother, so more time off at home take care of children and rest, plus, this is the area of her husband's house and the husband's family so Ranti is a newcomer, only greeting and then passing, she never gathered to chat.

Her mother-in-law never complained about Ranti who rarely gather with neighbors because she understood, everyday Ranti was tired and had to take care of children when coming home from work or vacation.

That's why Rantui arguably does not know everyone who lives in the alley of this house.

...

"Ms Night."

Office work is a lot, so Ranti has been a few days overtime continues, sometimes picked up, sometimes not. Today Ranti was picked up by her husband on a motorbike, again she saw the woman standing there staring in the alley against the entrance. Sometimes Ranti saw her face sad, this time as usual, she just nodded at Ranti's greeting.

"Why, Neng?" Husband asked.

"No, that's the big brother, waiting for her husband to come home from work."

"Oh ...." Her husband answered briefly.

...

For the umpteenth time, Ranti came home even more, it was eleven o'clock at night, her husband also could not pick up because he was out of town. So, Ranti had to go home alone, fortunately there was an office driver, so she could be escorted to the end of the house alley, her alley could not enter the car.

As soon as he got to the front of his alley, Ranti immediately got out of the car after thanking the office driver. When going to enter the gate of the alley, it turns out the gate has been padlocked, understand it is eleven o'clock at night more, naturally the gate of the alley is padlocked, fortunately all residents have a spare key to this alley gate.

Ranti opened the gate padlock, then entered and did not forget to lock it again.

When turning around after finished locking the alley gate ... "Astagfirefull!" A woman was standing behind him, Ranti's heart was like to be dislodged, because this alley was deserted even if illumination, she was shocked as she remembered it when she opened the gate padlock from the outside, not seeing anyone.

"Just come home, Mommy?" For the first time women who often stand at the end of this alley greet first, considering they have met several times and always Ranti who always greeted him first.

"Yes, I'm surprised, who's left." Ranti tried to make small talk because she had overreacted.

Then the woman walked first, she was wearing a blue nightgown suit. Ranti chased after him, all of you, had greeted each other, there was no harm in returning home together. In Ranti's mind quite a temen accompany until home, because this alley is long enough to get to her home alone.

"Wait for her husband?" Ranti asked, she was silent as long as they walked together.

The woman nodded, her face facing forward.

"Oh, wait for the kids?" Ranti asked again, if her son is waiting, no wonder he was willing to stand at the end of the alley.

The woman smiled, then stopped walking and looked at Ranti, she nodded, her face was still smiling, but why did her face look paled, oh maybe because it was dark, so less visible, now it is quite bright, oh maybe because it was dark, Ranti was still trying to think of something that made sense.

"His mother is sick?" Ranti also wondered why it was so chatty, even though she was the one who did not want to interfere in other people's affairs.

The woman walked back and just nodded with Ranti's question, she was currently in front of Ranti about 3 steps away.

"Oh so, I am anther yuk, afraid to fall if alone." Ranti's reflex was holding her arm from behind to paw, but when she held it. It was so cold, Ranti felt so cold ....

The woman then looked at Ranti, their eyes met, her face grew pale ....

"Miss!" Someone patted Ranti on the shoulder from behind, she was surprised and had been touched, until the grip on the woman's arm was released.

"Well, I'm surprised." It turns out Ranti's mother-in-law.

"Don't be dumb, Friday night! Yuk." yuk." The mother-in-law directly flanked her body.

"Bentar Mah, we'll anther first." Ranti immediately turned around to offer some more help, but, really, she was not any confused Ranti.

"Anter who?" Mother-in-law asked.

"This was me with Ma'am from the end of the alley, he was a loh who likes to wait for his son to come home, I often met when he came home at night. It was like he was sick, so I wanted to take him to his house, but it's not there now, he might have gone home first."

"Yaudah, if it's yuk, go home, it's so cold." Mama-in-law flanked Ranti again and they both walked towards the house, the alley was still very quiet, no one just sat chatting or smoking outside.

As soon as Ranti's house took a bath and took her son from the mamah room, they lived one house apart from the floor, Ranti on the first floor, mother-in-law on the second floor.

Ranti's son turned out to be asleep, he forced to bring his son down, because he did not want to get his son to sleep other than with Ranti.

Ranti lay the child down, then after sleeping in bed, Ranti's three-year-old son, was very cute, whatever he said, but Ranti was grateful, she said, because he's a kid who understands when his mom has to work.

Ranti sent a message to her husband that she was at home, even though they were far away, reporting my whereabouts was an obligation, just like her husband was, to keep her informed.

After her husband replied, without feeling Ranti became very sleepy, then slowly began to be unable to see the mobile phone screen anymore because the eyes felt so heavy.

Htc .. tok .. tok ….

Ranti was shocked, someone knocked on the front door, she saw the clock, two o'clock at night, Ranti was afraid, but she had to open it, was the neighbor who was in need of help? That's what Ranti was afraid of.

Asking for help mama-in-law, papah-in-law or sister-in-law who live above, afraid of nicotine, so Ranti tried to dare to peek from the window first.

Ranti put on her hijab, then peeked out of the window, it turns out the woman at the end of the alley, Ranti without hesitation immediately opened the door of her house.

“What's up Mpa?” Ranti asked, the woman stared straight ahead, she looked pale and sad.

“Mbak?” Ranti asked again, because the woman was just silent at the door of her house.

“Can you ask for help?” The woman finally asked.

“Bby, ask for help what? Want to be taken to the hospital?” Ranti was just guessing, who knew she needed that help.

“Your son is asleep?” The woman asked again.

“Already Mbak, Mbak why?” Ranti repeated the question.

“I ... can enter?” The woman asked to enter the house.

“Bby, yuk in.” Ranti's consideration of letting the woman in is because, she's a woman, she's a neighbor and she seems to need help.

Ranti allowed the woman to sit on the sofa, her position was to expect the door of her son's room inside, while Ranti turned her back to the door of the room.

“Mbak need help apa”

“Your son is asleep?” The woman asked again.

“I want to see your son, can?” The woman asked, Ranti was a bit hesitant, because she did not like people coming into her room, especially her husband.

“Hmm, tomorrow yes, because my son is sleeping, he is afraid he will wake up, pity if his sleep is forced, sorry yes Mbak.”

“See for a moment.” The woman forced.

“Sorry Yes Mbak.” Ranti was getting scared, she forbade it.

Suddenly the woman stood up and walked towards the door of the room, Ranti reflexively held it by holding her shoulder.

“Mbak! want kema ...” Ranti was silent, the shoulder felt cold, but she was wearing long-sleeved blue pajamas, but somehow, the coldness from her shoulder penetrated into the shirt.

The woman continued to walk, but when she was at the door of her son Ranti's room, she could not enter and fell down, she stared harshly at Ranti.

“Mbak! What to do to my son's room!” Ranti shouted, she looked very angry, then a voice sounded from above, like a person walking quickly, then she went down the stairs.

“Why Ran?” Her father-in-law turned out, Ranti looked up at the stairs, where her father-in-law went down.

“This is a woman, maksa to all Giska, I can not be, but she maksa.” Ranti looked at her father-in-law and complained about the woman who a second ago Ranti saw her fall when she was about to enter Ranti's room.

“What woman?” His father-in-law was confused, because no one was there. Ranti looked back at the woman, but.

“So she was here Pah, she wanted to go into Ranti's room, but did not know why she fell, papah dateng's truck, uh now ilang, had already gone time for fear.”

“Ranti, but the door is closed.”

Ranti looked towards the entrance, closed, but she did not close the door again after allowing the woman to enter, but why is it now closed?

“Maybe the woman who closed Pah, just as she escaped earlier.” Ranti was still convinced the woman had run away.

Get down, then check the door.

“Locked, this key is still inside, time he can close the door trus ngunci from inside?” The father-in-law said that in surprise.

“But it was true that there were women who entered Pah.” Ranti assured her in-laws.

“You are sleeping well, let Papah sleep on the living room sofa, take care of you with Giska, Imran official right?” Papah-in-law is always good as his wife.

“Iya Pah, thanks ya.” Then Ranti went into the room, she was told Papah-in-law lock the room door.

When Ranti had locked the door of the room, the father-in-law looked at the window, as hard as he saw someone there, he peeked out of the window, no one, no one, he then slept on the sofa.

It was morning, Ranti was up, it was Saturday, she was off work, had cooked for her son and was now playing with Giska.

“Semalem why?” Her mother-in-law sat beside Ranti asking.

“Nggak know Mah, semalem tuh Ranti sure kok, the woman entered maksa see Giska, but Ranti did not permit her to see Giska, pas papah dateng she even ran away.”

“You dream time Neng.” The whole house did indeed call Ranti by the name, Neng, including her husband.

“Yes if my dream is already outside anyway?” Ranti insisted.

“If Mamah had seen it first, there is a movie about people, if sleep is the way, because he laughed at dreams, maybe you are not so”

Ranti looked at her in-laws, not thinking about it. But does he have such a strange disease? Sleep walkin.

“Nggak know as well, because it's new during the event like Mah, Ranti's lifetime never ngalamin it.”

“Judah gini aja, if Imran go home, Ranti story, let Imran who broke up must what, now you want to be masakin what for lunch?” Ranti is lucky to have a family husband who is always good, including a mother-in-law whose kindness is the same as her own mother, willing to eat and never talk to her daughter-in-law at all.

Ranti does not want to think about it anymore, because it is not something that is important enough, in Ranti's heart hesitated, whether it was true last night, even though it actually felt real.

Today Ranti came home on time, at five in the afternoon, she was picked up by her husband, while passing through the alley gate, she looked towards where she used to wait for her son, but, no, Ranti was relieved, she was looking at her, lazy to have to fuss with neighbors.

“So that woman doesn't exist?” Imran her husband asked, as soon as they got home.

“No mas, only at night he was there.”

“Mas wants to ask, why did he maksa squirm Giska.”

“But Mas, if it turns out Ranti is sick how? You see the door to the key from inside the pepah check.” Randy began to doubt.

“Yaudah.” Imran agreed, Ranti was relieved, because she was more afraid of the commotion with the neighbors, staying one territory but the fight was the least pleasant.

“That's your hand why?” Imran suddenly looked at Ranti's reddened palm.

“Why” Ranti just woke up too.

“It doesn't hurt?” Imran confused.

“No, aw!” Imran squeezed Ranti's wrists reddened it.

“It hurts.”

“Iya yes, I did not ngeh Mas, since when the red.” Ranti noticed the hand, why it was like being hit by hot water, as she remembered she was not injured while cooking, and suddenly blistered like this, before Imran said, she was not even aware.

“Wear Neng ointment, compressed cold water pack let enakan.” Imran took the ointment from the refrigerator and given it to Ratih, he took the burn ointment.

“Iya, Mas.” Ranti smeared it with the ointment.
