How to Become an Alchemist (2)

Three days later.

Today is Sunday, there are no classes today or in other words it is a holiday. Most students take advantage of the holiday by resting in a dormitory or asking permission to just walk the street in the second area of Magelang District.

As promised, today is the day that Arya meets the great Teacher Isnu. After breakfast in the dining room Arya headed straight to the Medicine Pavilion.

Arya arrived at the Medicine Pavilion an hour earlier than the promised time. Modern traditional medicine Pavilion Building. The uniqueness of the Medicine Pavilion building is on the roof which is in the form of a joglo roof typical of traditional Javanese buildings. The roof itself is made of high-quality clay tile. Wood roof supports are made of high quality teak wood as well as door and window panels.

Approaching the building of the Medicine Pavilion building the distinctive smell of herbs was increasingly felt. Arya went into the lobby of the open building. There was a man in the twenty-year-old range at the reception desk.

"Good morning senior" Arya said kindly

"Good morning, is there anything I can help you with" the receptionist replied kindly

"I was ordered by the Great Teacher Isnu to face him" Arya explained

"Oh so, are you the one named Arya ?" ask the receptionist

"Yes right, I am Aryan" Arya replied

"Great Teacher Isnu has not come but he advised if you have come before him you are asked to wait" explained the receptionist

"Previously introduce me Lado" said the receptionist introducing himself

"Then may I call senior brother Lado" Arya said

"Yes yes of course I can, and I will call you in Arya" said Lado

"Follow me in" continued Lado asked Arya to follow him

Lado took Arya inside the Medicine Pavilion building. The inside of the Medicine Pavilion contained many rooms. The distinctive smell of herbal plants medicinal raw materials filled the air inside the building. From the door glass seen in some rooms there are some people who seem busy working, some look to be making drugs while others are researching medicinal ingredients.

Arya did not expect the Medicine Pavilion building that looked deserted from the outside turned out to be the opposite on the inside. There are many people who are busy with their work.

Lado opened the door of one of the rooms.

"Let's go in this room" said Lado

This room is quite spacious, there is a large table of teak wood in the middle of the room. On the wooden table there is a set of modern distilleries made of glass. There are two large shelves in the wall of the room that contain various types of herbal plants and other medicinal ingredients. On one side of the room was a stone table with two medicinal furnaces he had

"Please Arya wait here, if you need something your sister can call me through the communication tool" said Lado while pointing to a communication device on the table

"Thank you, Arya" said

"Then my brother came back to the front first" said Lado who then walked out of the room

Arya put her bag on the table and then took out a notebook and a copy of the Medicinal King Inheritance Book of the Southeast.

Arya then walked towards the storage rack of the medicine-making materials.

"Ah this black ginger is a very rare type of ginger" murmured Arya

"There's also fire ginseng, snow star flowers, bone fungus and these blood tread leaves"

Arya continued to observe the ingredients of the medicinal ingredients neatly arranged inside the shelf. Arya was truly amazed by the collection of medicinal ingredients that the Medicine Pavilion possessed.

Half an hour later the Great Teacher Isnu arrived.

Seeing the arrival of Grand Master Isnu, Arya immediately approached him and bowed respectfully.

"Greetings from the disciples to the Great Master" Arya said

Grand Master Isnu sat in the chair and then asked Arya to sit in the chair opposite. The two are separated by a teak table.

"Today as I promised my son, I will begin to guide him to become an alchemist" said Grand Master Isnu

"Effective or not depends on how much determination you have, talent is just an additional luck factor, it is useless to have great talent but there is no determination" Grand Master Isnu began to explain

"The next requirement that supports the success of an alchemist is the ability to memorize the ingredients of drug-making materials that include the name, properties, content and usefulness of medicinal ingredients" continued Professor Isnu

"Then the next condition must have a store of qi energy in a body that is large enough to at least have the lowest stored qi energy of a thousand douqi or at the level of D-5 cultivation" said Grand Master Isnu explaining the minimum requirement of cultivation level to become an alchemist

"That's why new medicine concocting lessons will be given in the second semester for second-year students"

"What distinguishes medicine-making from an alchemist who is also a cultivator with ordinary manufacturing methods is the use of qi energy in the process of making drugs and also the resulting drugs are different, which are different, the medicine produced by a cultivator's alchemist contained qi energy within it while those produced by ordinary alchemists contained no qi"

"The medicine that contained qi in it was efficacious many times that of ordinary medicine, not only for a cultivator but also an ordinary person"

"But not all of these medicines can be consumed by ordinary people, for example, this energy pill, which if consumed by a cultivator would help replenish the qi energy within the dantian more quickly, but if consumed by ordinary people will not provide any efficacy" said Professor Isnu gave an example by showing a drug pill measuring slightly smaller than marbles, he said, the medicinal pill was blue in color and emitted a hint of light, and if touched would feel the qi energy content within

"Until here first the explanation is whether there is a less clear and want to be asked ?" the Grand Master Isnu

"For the time being yet, the disciple quite understood the explanation from the Great Master" Arya replied

"Alright, now give me your right hand, I will check how much qi is stored in your body" said Grand Master Isnu

Arya extended her right hand as requested. Grand Master Isnu touched Aryan's right wrist and began to channel his qi.

"What ...... anaknda is already at level D-4" said Grand Master Isnu surprised by the results of his examination

"This .... this .... is remarkable .. for an eleven-year-old child to be at D-4 level" murmured Grand Master Isnu inwardly

Initially the Grand Master Isnu would only give Arya a theory lesson first because the Grand Master Isnu thought the Aryan level was not enough.

"Then I have to change the lesson plan that I have made" Grand Master Isnu said in his heart

"You are already qualified to the minimum to become an alchemist" said Grand Master Isnu

Arya smiled happily at hearing that.

"Now I want to know to what extent my son's understanding of medicinal ingredients" said Grand Master Isnu then stood up from his seat

Grand Master Isnu then asked Arya to follow him. They both headed for the medicinal ingredients storage rack.

"Anaknda must have read the King Medicine Inheritance Book of Medicine from the Southeast although not entirely, and the Book of Encyclopedia of Medicinal Materials that I have given a copy" said Professor Isnu

Arya nodded her head indicating that she had done what Grand Master Isnu said just now.

"Try anaknda mention the name of the drug material following the explanation of its properties, content and usefulness" said Professor Isnu while pointing towards the storage shelf of medicinal ingredients

Arya began to take one by one medicinal ingredients and then mention his name following an explanation of the properties, contents and uses of the drug ingredients. Arya explained very smoothly. It did not feel that there were more than thirty medicinal ingredients described by Arya correctly and correctly.

"This child is truly special" Grand Master Isnu praised in his heart for being amazed at what Arya showed him

"Well that's enough" said Grand Master Isnu
