Black Shadow
Four days passed very quickly, Kai had entered nearly three gates until he reached the deepest part of the Xuanzhen Empire.
Unlike the cities outside, in the deepest part of the city there was a Palace that was so big, with just a glance, Kai knew that the Palace was either the Emperor or the ruler of the Xuanzhen Continent.
Moreover, there were three other powers that possessed combat power almost equal to the Emperor Palace. It was the Imperial Academy, the Len Nobles Family, and the Huang Auction House.
Of the three powers, the Huang Auction House was something mysterious. No one can guess for sure who the owner of the Auction House is. Even the Emperor himself could not act rashly in front of him.
From inside the carriage, ZhuKai's voice was talking to the horse-driver.
"So, should I be wary of those three powers?" Kai raised one of his eyebrows and asked.
"Yes master, other than the Emperor himself, the leader of the three powers also has power on par with the Gods of the Universe."
Kai nodded in understanding, he three called out to his Skeleton secretly and put a bit of his awareness on it.
At Zhukai's behest, the three Skeletons disappeared without anyone noticing.
"Uncle, let's just stop here.."
"All right, sir.."
Kai immediately told the three women in the carriage to get off, he told the three women to use a veil to cover their pretty faces.
"We've been traveling long enough, let's get some food first.." Kai smiled gently and took the three of them along.
The two girls nodded while Yu Chi Lan still with a cold face did not respond to what Kai said.
"Come on Lan'er, haven't I apologized?"
"Grf.." Yu Chi Lan snorted coldly ignoring what she said.
He immediately walked up to his daughter as well as Meng Nie and ignored the Zhukai, "Haahh, but it also turned out to be tempting."
Kai chuckled slightly and immediately walked up to the three of them. Meanwhile, far behind him was a silhouette of a black shadow that moved so quickly following Kai and the others.
After some time, Kai and the other three arrived at a place to eat that was quite crowded at the visit.
The restaurant has four floors, each of which provides different food ingredients.
"What floor do you want to eat on?"
In front of the restaurant door, Kai asked the three women before him.
"Fourth floor..." Before the others replied, Biao Jian had already answered first.
"Why about the others?" Kai turned his gaze and replied.
Meng Nie nodded in agreement while Yu Chi Lan still looked indifferent.
"Alright, then we'll eat on the floor of emp–.." Kai stopped his words and immediately turned around.
He stared somewhere for a while after that turned back and invited the other three in.
At the place Kai was staring at earlier, a black shadow figure suddenly appeared with two glowing red eyes.
No one was aware of the existence of the black shadow as he was merely an embodiment of a soul that one controlled remotely.
"Welcome dear customer, may I know what floor you want to eat on?" A beautiful receptionist came asking.
"Fourth floor.."
"Ah, that.. Sorry dear customer, the fourth floor is only allowed to be entered by VIP guests."
"Is that so? Then we'll eat on the third floor.."
The receptionist nodded, he immediately led Zhukai and the other three towards the third floor.
The third floor looked extremely spacious, it could at least be loaded by several thousand people. Although it looks very crowded, in fact there are some empty tables.
"We'll sit there.." Kai pointed at a table located right next to the window.
Kai chose the table because he thought it was a comfortable place, let alone a gentle breeze blowing from outside.
None of the three of them objected, therefore Kai decided to sit there and order.
The waiter quickly recorded all the food Kai ordered, he immediately walked towards the kitchen and attacked Zhukai's order on the chef.
Not long after, a servant returned with food in his hand.
"Are you not hungry?" When he saw Meng Nie and Yu Chi Lan just standing still, a frown appeared on his forehead.
"B–Not that, it's just that I'm not used to food like this.." Meng Nie smiled wryly and said.
"So, why don't you tell me from the beginning.."
Kai tells Meng Nie to order more food as she wants, while Kai takes a wooden spoon and scoops the soup in front of her.
"Yes..."
"What's this?" Yu Chi Lan spoke slightly as Zhukai pointed the spoon containing the soup at her.
"Just open your mouth.."
"That's fine..." With a hint of coercion, Yu Chi Lan opened her mouth.
When the hard soup entered his stomach, Yi Chi Lan's eyes lit up. "It's so good.."
"Of course, stop being angry with me."
"Grr, stop saying that shit you're a pervert.." Ignoring the Zhukai that infuriated him, Yu Chi Lan took a wooden spoon and began to finish off the meat soup.
Meanwhile, Kai did not eat. He simply enjoyed the wine while staring out the window. His gaze was fixed on somewhere once again, his pupils slightly changed color and Kai continued to stare at the place.
Even after opening his Divine Eye, Kai still had no idea what was bothering him.
"Huh, maybe it's just my feelings.."
When night fell, Kai had already booked an inn that was not too far from the restaurant.
He approached the receptionist and asked, "How many rooms are left?"
"There are 10 rooms left, you can choose any room.."
"I rented everything for 3 days, how much is it?"
"Emm, for one day is a thousand stone king, but since master has rented many rooms. Our accommodation gives you a discount. So you only have to pay 25,000 king stones.." Clearly the receptionist was with a sweet smile engraved on his face.
After Kai paid off the rent, he walked over to Biao Jian and the other two.
"Sorry everyone, there's only one room left. So the three of us will sleep there.." Zhukai said to Biao Jian and Yu Chi Lan.

"Ehh, but where am I going to sleep tonight?" Meng Nie said with teary eyes.
Kai approached and whispered something in his ear.
"I've rented you a room, here's the key. Don't interrupt my precious night okay." Kai sneered cunningly while handing over the room key to Meng Nie.
Meng Nie nodded, she kept silent as she waited for Silhouette Kai and the other two women to leave.
After sensing the Zhukai aura already within his room, Meng Nie suddenly shot out towards a place that was in a small alley within the city.
"Greetings Mr..." Meng Nie knelt down right before the black shadow figure in front of her.
"There's no need to be polite, what about the person's strength." Said the Shadow to Meng Nie.
"He is a very strong master, whereas he is only a Heavenly Deity, but his speed and strength surpass mine.. But there's one thing I want to ask, why does she have the same aura as you?"
The black shadow laughed for a while then looked at Meng Nie and gave her answer.
"Because he is my father!!.."
