Rebirth: Bai Xueyun's

Rebirth: Bai Xueyun's
10. Saving Chen from death

With that, a man wearing a golden-coloured robe embroidered with a majestic dragon walked in.

This was the great Han emperor, Emperor Han Ming.

"Your Majesty."

"Your Majesty."

The crowd bowed to Emperor Han one after another.

Emperor Han looked at Bai Xueyun and repeated his question, "Can you save prince Chen?"

Bai Xueyun was not sure what Emperor Han had in mind, but she was determined to save Chen, "Yes Your Majesty."

"I'll let you try." Emperor Han said, "Save him, or you will be buried with him."

Bai Xueyun responded without hesitation, "Yes. "

"Your Majesty, please clean the room. I need this room to be quiet." Bai Xueyun got up from the bed and turned on the oil lamp again.

Emperor Han waved and ordered everyone to leave the side room. Princess Li Hua wanted to stay, but the servants took her away.

Emperor Han was the last to leave, glancing at Bai Xueyun with a meaningful look as he closed the door.

The entire side room was instantly silent, while Bai Xueyun and the unconscious prince Chen were left alone.

Outside the room, prince Qiang Zhen was pushed away by his confusion and asked doubtfully, "Dad, Chen is dead. Why did you let empress Bai examine her body?"

Emperor Han glanced at Qiang Zhen sharply, which made his heart skip a beat, and he could not help but shiver.

"Did I give you permission to speak to Zhen ?" Emperor Han said in a cold voice, "He can't die without my permission."

Under tremendous pressure, Qiang Zhen summoned his courage to say, "Dad, I'm afraid I don't understand."

Why did his father keep Chen alive when he pushed Chen into such an abyss? A meaningless loss of life is no big deal. Why bother trying to save her?

The empress, who understood Emperor Ming's text, walked up to stand in front of Qiang Zhen and volunteered to blame, “Your Majesty, this is all my fault. I should not punish prince Chen . "

"I know what you've done. If Chen survives today, I'll let you go." Emperor Han said firmly, "But if he dies, there will be consequences."

Chen was an important part in his hands, and it was not yet time to leave this part. If Chen died today, the scheme he had worked on for more than a decade would be scrapped, which was not what he wanted.

"I know it's all my fault." After pleading guilty, the empress stood by the side with Qiang Zhen, calm and scared.

The Empress Mother approached Emperor Han before saying, "I should have come earlier. I don't expect Chen to be willing to reach this point for his wife."

The Empress Mother and Emperor had a tacit understanding of the behavior of empress Bai and prince Chen today, but they obeyed them, pretending that they knew nothing.

However, Chen surprised them by taking the punishment along with Bai Xueyun, who forced the empress mother to come forward and save Chen.

But he didn't come in time and Chen was dead.

The Empress Mother did not believe Bai Xueyun would be able to save prince Chen.

Bai Xueyun was just a useless daughter of the Prime Minister. Even though he was an educated person, he couldn't possibly know anything about medicine. Even the imperial physician could not save Chen, so how could Xueyun?

But the emperor allowed her to try, and the Empress' mother saw no need to stop her.

Emperor Han was a bit irritated, but his noble status made him used to hide his emotions, which even the Empress mother could not see.

He had the desire to kill the empress and Qiang Zhen at this moment. Anyone who has sabotaged his plans deserves to die!

However, he endured his brutality and resentment, making himself look elegant and gentle.

Inside the treatment room.

Bai Xueyun brought more ice cubes to Chen and the silver needles were swept away by the flames.

He was exhausted and saw double, and also suffered from a splitting headache, as if his head was about to explode.

He felt dizzy from the summer heat and wanted to lie down and relax very much.

But he knew he couldn't do it.

Bai Xueyun bit her bloody tongue again and finally regained control of her own thoughts to some extent. He pressed an ice cube onto his face, and the cold expelled the heat in an instant, which made his vision even clearer.

Afterwards, Bai Xueyun concentrated on finding acupuncture points to apply the needles, and her movements were nimble and accurate despite her weak physical condition.

As a doctor proficient in acupuncture in his previous life, he was so familiar with the human body that he was able to find the right acupuncture points even with his eyes closed.

Silver needles were inserted into some of Chen's acupuncture points, which caused a chain effect and stimulated all the acupuncture points in his body instantly. Closed pores also open, allowing sweat trapped inside the body to flow out.

"Someone, please come!" Shouted Bai Xueyun, and a servant immediately entered, "consort Bai, what can I do for you?"

"Take me some fine salt and clean water, right now!" Bai Xueyun ordered.

After sweating so much, Chen would become dehydrated immediately. Since there was no physiological salt here, he had to make it himself.

He hoped the salt in the Palace would be pure enough.

With the emperor watching outside in person, the servant did not dare to slack off, so he brought back salt and clean water in a hurry.

Without a scale, Bai Xueyun could only add physiological salts based on her own judgment. Fortunately, the salt in the palace was very pure and contained only a few impurities.

Xueyun had experience making physiological salt solutions based on her own judgment in her previous life, so it wasn't difficult for her to do the same at this time.

While Chen was still sweating, the physiological salt was ready. Bai Xueyun knelt on the bed, forcefully opened Chen's lips, and gave him physiological salt slowly.

Being unconscious, however, Chen would not swallow consciously at all.

A doctor would not care much when he saved a life, and he would use any practical method. Xueyun raised her chin to pour physiological salt into her mouth and fed it to Chen's mouth.

Due to the thermoregulation system that Bai Xueyun had activated and the physical cooling method, as well as the acupuncture Xueyun had done to help her circulate, Chen's body temperature finally started to drop.

Bai Xueyun placed her fingers under Chen's nose and finally felt a warm breath come out. He leaned over to listen to Chen's heartbeat and found that it was getting stronger.

It was only then that Bai Xueyun was convinced that she had pulled Chen from the edge of death. With distressed nerves finally relieved, he fell and fainted beside Chen's bed.

Shortly after Bai Xueyun fainted, Prince Chen, who was supposed to be in an unconscious state opened his eyes slowly. Seeing Xueyun his gaze became sharp and complicated.

There were some sounds coming from outside, and Chen closed his eyes as if he had never woken up before.
