03. Marons & Kaliana.

Kaliana smiled at what Marons said. Despite Chasina's arrest, Jaret and Papa Rallita go viral, straining her. But his heart warms knowing Marons still remembers very little of him. All his worries all along, that the Marons might have forgotten about him, were gone.

Kaliana closed her eyes for a moment to relieve the pressure and divided her attention to what Marons was doing to her. All this time, he's taken Marons' attention to him because he's been helping her. It was what he always reminded repeatedly to his heart, so as not to be rash and continue to be careful in dealing with the attitude of the Marons.

Kaliana's mood made her unable to rest, even though she had closed her eyes. He lifted his body again and leaned forward. Then he placed both his hands on the dashboard then placed his chin on top of his hand while looking at the traffic in front of them. His heart was so moved by what Marons had done and said.

Kaliana only realized Marons' true presence, after being able to think well. Everything that happened in the GP room with Chasina and her identity has been known to Marons, jumbled along with her preparations to keep her promise to Bram. It made everything Marons did in Rallita's parents' place feel faint. Unlike now, just the two of them, everything felt different.

Kaliana recalled Marons embrace that suddenly made his heart want to jump out. So try to cover it up jokingly, so that Marons does not notice her irregular heartbeat.

Now Marons' attention for the little thing from him, is so heart touching. It called home his consciousness, that his hope was not in vain. A Kasmara Marons still remember him. He didn't expect more, but the reality at hand comforted him with a soaring heart.

"What are you thinking? Lean back...! So I can run this car faster. You're not hungry? Or do you not pity those who are waiting for us with hungry stomachs?" Marons asked, distracting Kaliana from what she was thinking and feeling.

Marons knew what Kaliana was thinking and feeling. Because he did the same thing when they first left by car at night to calm down while talking about what happened in the police station. When she finds out Rallita is pregnant with someone else. Marons could not forget the moment that happened with the two of them that night.

"Yeah, sorry. A lot of things happened today, making me feel like I was on a boat swinging by the waves. Everything swung and spun in my head and heart. It all makes me unable to define what I feel right now." Kaliana said softly, then turned her back to the back of the chair as Marons had requested. Then he closed his eyes to avoid the Marons.

The presence of Marons is more pronounced and very touching his heart. Marons did not change after learning of his identity. Just attitude and treat him, more open and detached after knowing he was Anny, his friend first. But her feelings remained the same, as Kaliana had felt during their time together the past few months.

"Yeah... Although I was very surprised by everything that happened, I was grateful for what happened to me. Looking at Jaret's wife who was so sad, it made me think of a lot of things I've been through lately." Marons recalled Chasina's condition during the confession and also while wearing an iron bracelet.

"Maybe I'm a man so I can hide all the feelings, as a result of Rallita's actions. Or maybe God sent someone to be with me when I was about to be destroyed." Marons admitted, it might be different if there is no Kaliana as a place to share everything he experienced.

"So in the courtroom, whoever you are. Good Kalia, good Anny. I am so grateful that you are with me. So that I can be like now. Can lift my face to face what's going to happen in front better." Marons is more open about what he thinks and feels.

"I've married her, all her vices will follow me. Hearing your discussion about him earlier, I wanted to get out of the room. If there wasn't you, I'd be gone. Because I can't stand hearing everything she's done." Back to what Kaliana said to Fendry, Rallita's sister and what happened to them. It made Marons rub his face violently.

"Arro, better stop saying that. So that I don't regret holding the title. I did that to make everything clear in the news. No one thinks negatively of you." Kaliana straightened her body and spoke seriously to the Marons.

"If what I do hurts you, I'll regret it for the rest of my life. So stop taking all of his actions. Let him take her away with his body, soul and spirit." Kaliana was sad to hear what Marons said.

"His parents alone can still argue in the condition of knowing the behavior of their children. So why are you ashamed of everything he did? Wouldn't everyone be responsible for their actions? Don't make what I do go to waste." Kaliana said in a voice trembling with emotion and was sad.

"Yeah... I-i know... My request is still the same. Stay with me, even if the case is over." Marons reached out his hand, then rubbed Kaliana's back to calm her down.

"Actually, just before leaving for the title of the case, I was not worried because I would be a defendant in the case. Because I believe, if you guys work right, I won't be in that position. Cause I didn't do anything to touch him, let alone kill him."

"So about that I'm not worried. All I'm worried about is that, if the case is over and I have no reason to meet you guys, especially you." Marons said he could smile again given what he was thinking when he left for the GP.

"After knowing you're Anny, I don't have to think of a way or reason to meet you." Marons said without hiding his pleasure.

"Why is that? We have a contract of cooperation. So the case is over, yes, it's done with the cooperation as well. Actually, our work was done, by the time of that title case. Just meet with Mr. Danny to give up our work." What Kaliana said stopped.

"You dare to go?" Asked Marons who suddenly pulled over his car then looked at Kaliana seriously. It made Kaliana surprised and stunned.

Looking at the face of Marons who was seriously staring at him, Kaliana reflexively grabbed his two fingers a mark, peace. Then Kaliana opened both of his hands and pushed him forward hinting for the Marons to run his car back.

"So he said he was hungry, but stopped. We shall be put to the Son, for his belly roars in search of prey." Kaliana said to distract Marons and calm him down.

"That makes me stop not feeling guilty. Not answering my question. Let's get a rally with Son, Yicoe and Novie." Marons said as he returned to running his car with a bright face. Kaliana again raised her two fingers as a sign, peace. Marons could only shake with a smile.
