Roped Fate
Ch.51: Night Sky

On a calm and cold night, the two mothers walked together and brought food to be served with the family.

Little Riko was immediately excited when she saw her mother was back.

Then the food is placed on a small table that they deliberately prepared beforehand.

“Wah .. mom is back!” exclaim Riko excited.

“Mother and aunt Rima are back, good,” added Rion with a brief smile looking towards the two mothers there.

“Wah, sorry yes ... you guys must have waited a long time,” said Rima softly.

“But take it easy .. We have prepared something special for you, hehe,” said Diana.

“Wah ... hooray! dinner ...,” exclaims Riko with excitement.

“Hm, but before that ... your father where to nak?” ask mother.

“So called his friend, it seems there is an important business ma'am,” replied Riko.

“Oh, then we eat the four first, it seems your father is still a long time back, so later I make it again for him,” said his mother with a gentle smile.

“Um, good bu!”

Finally they had dinner with just four of them. Riko looks so cheerful and excited while enjoying her dinner.

“Um, mom's cuisine is indeed the best and most delicious in the world!” riko exclaimed still with the leftovers in her mouth.

“Haha .. You finish the food first, do not while chatting later choke!” bala Rima tried to advise Riko.

“No, I've been pro tau, hahaha.”

“Ya already, then eat enough, let you stay healthy and big fast yes,” added Rima.

“Siap .. I eat a lot to be stronger, mother's cooking is delicious and nutritious,” said Riko proudly.

“This is also assisted by aunt Diana you know! you also need to thank him,” his mother said.

Riko was restrained and just fell silent by putting on a sullen face while rubbing her hands, she looked a bit nervous because she was still not used to strangers.

“Hei son, why shut up? come ... Aunt Diana cook it with pleasure! cook you silence,” persuade his mother.

Little Riko was still silent. He wanted to say it, but didn't find the right word to begin with.

Seeing that Diana also did not want to be so concerned about it, it was natural that Riko was still a child and innocent, so she only understood him.

“Already Rima, no problem .. he is also still a child, so do not be too forced,” interrupted Diana.

“Alright, then please be understood yes, he is still shy apparently,” replied Rima.

Finally, they continued their dinner quietly. Actually Riko was quite happy, but he was just awkward to blend in with them. Maybe it takes a while to get used to it.

Some time passed, after finishing dinner. The mothers immediately cleaned up and brought the dishes and leftovers back, while Riko and Rion asked permission to go somewhere.

Not far from the campground, Rion invites Riko to see the sky in a more open place. On the outskirts of the forest as well as the plateau, there they could clearly see the view of the stars in the sky.

“Wahh .. It's so beautiful! this is the first time I can see the sky very clearly, I did not expect it to be this wide as the sky,” said Riko with sparkling eyes while staring at the sky.

“I often see it from this place, and I used to always see it with my father,” said Rion.

“Oh, and now you still don't get tired of coming to this place? won't it remind you of the sad thing?” ask Riko

“It doesn't need to be that way, if you attribute everything to grief, then can you avoid all things related to it?” reply Rion calm.

“What does that mean?” ask Riko to be confused.

“Already, rather than that ... let's look at that star cluster,” Pinta Rion while pointing towards the sky there.

“Iya, why with the star?” riko asked a little confused.

“It was the constellation Orion, my father was very fond of observing it, sometimes I used to also like to bring binoculars here,” explained Rion.

“Oh, so .. is that also why you were named Rion?” ask Riko again.

“True, just before I was born .. Dad had seen a meteor shower around the constellation Orion at that time,” Rion said calmly.

“Thank you.”

“Eh, why did you say thank you, I did what for you?” riko asked a little confused.

“Isn't that normal, you praised my name earlier, so it's only natural that I said it,” replied Rion in slight astonishment.

“Just praise mewhat need thank you too? but, I didn't give you anything!”

“Hmm .. You are an anti-grateful person well, when it is a common thing to do.”

“Do I have to thank every thing?” ask Riko again.

“Of course not, it's .. You're still a child so you can't tell the difference properly, just don't be too proud to say the important thing too,” replied Rion casually.

“Emm .. must be well? but why is it so important to you?” riko asked, getting curious.

“In this world there are some words that you should not forget to say, one of which is 'thank you',” replied Rion.

“Why?”

“If you don't say it now, maybe you'll regret it one day, because you no longer have a second chance to say it,” explained Rion with a cold smile.

“Arghh .. I don't understand, all I know is when I'm in the mood and it's time, if it makes me happy I must be grateful,” Riko replied.

“Yah .. You are still innocent anyway, so just ignore it, but still, because being in debt of gratitude can also be painful when you don't have the opportunity to pay,” added Rion again.

“OK deh, I save your words first .. if it is big later, hopefully by then I can understand,” replied Riko lazy.

Shortly after, there was a meteor shower that crossed the clear night sky. Little Riko looked very happy, he looked closely at the meteor shower without thinking about anything else. While Rion only smiled normally when he saw the thing that he considered ordinary.

“Wahh ..beautiful! this is the first time I saw a meteor shower,” said Riko so excited.

“Good you can see it in the best place for observation,” timpal Rion with a faint smile.

“Then, thank God! this is the most beautiful gift tonight ..” shouted Riko as he looked up to the sky.

“No need to rush to say that, tonight is not over, there could be bigger things will happen after,”

“Then, I will repeat it again later.”

“Yeah, it's up to you ..”

They refocused on observing the cosmic phenomenon tonight, in the beauty of the faint purple light that flashed around.

Rion regained his senses and taking a vigilant position, he also pulled the little Riko to get closer to his place.

“Beware! something is not right, it is likely a dangerous thing,” said Rion as he continued to pay attention to the surrounding.

“Hey, what happened? mom and dad .. Where are they? I was scared ...,” whined Riko while hiding behind Rion.

“You don't panic just yet, stay alert! if something comes ... we should run in the opposite direction,” the ever-vigilant Rion pinta.

“But I want to go to the place of mom and dad,” whine Riko again while trying to hold back her crying.

“Yes already, I will take you back there, but we also do not be rash .. if it feels safe, then we will slowly slip away,” whispered Rion still with a sharp gaze.

‘I should be called a fool who tries to keep coming to take his life, seen must have understood that the light came from the camp, if it goes, what can I do there? I can't fight or do anything else, but this kid .. I can't just ignore it either,’ Rion thought hesitated.

Finally Rion wants to help take Riko back to the camp. They sneak and hide from the bushes to other bushes.

Right in front of his camp, they saw a huge flash of light. Purple flames blazed everywhere, chaos, frenzy, and despair. It was completely unacceptable to his common sense.

He looked scared and in disbelief. Realizing that, Rion instantly closed Riko's eyes and ears.

“This mess is unacceptable to your brain, so you don't have to look at it .. just stay here until things get better and find our parents, respectively, but you don't dare to occasionally shout, because it is an introductory signal of life,” whispered Rion seriously.
