Nathan parked his favorite sports car in the parking lot of a cafe that is quite famous in the city. Cafe that Vivian recommends.
Although it looks simple and ordinary. But make no mistake, because the food and drinks typical of five-star restaurants are sold there at a much cheaper price and a much more delicious taste.
Nathan had never visited this cafe before, because the cafe was open not too long ago. He has been abroad for 5 years. So Nathan doesn't really understand. He simply obeyed what Vivian suggested.
"Come," Vivian. Then the girl went down and followed Nathan. The two walked into the cafe.
Far from Nathan's mind. Although it looks amazing and simple. But the sighting inside was shocking. The cafe is so spacious, it has indoor and outdoor as well. Lots of young people who come to this cafe for dinner or just hanging out.
The place Vivian chose was outdoor. Because from there, they could see the stars directly. Tonight the sky was very bright and friendly, completely clean without being covered in the slightest cloud so that they could enjoy the beauty of the sky tonight.
"You come here often?" Nathan asked breaking the silence.
"Yes, Sania and I spend a lot of time here. Whether it's for dinner or just to hang out. This place is so spacious and clean, that's what made me feel comfortable here for a long time." His word.
Nathan looked around. A few pairs of eyes looked towards her and Vivian. And he did not like to see the hungry gazes of the men when he saw this girl who came with him. They looked at the girl with hungry eyes.
Suddenly the young man got up from his chair and asked to switch places with Vivian. Vivian who was confused just complied. And now all that was visible to their eyes was Vivian's back hidden behind her clothes.
Soon their orders came. The two ate their dinner quietly. And that dinner was accompanied by small talk. There's not much they talk about, just small talk.
"Yes, how's Aunt Jesslyn doing?"
"Good mom, next time I'll take you to see her. She must be happy, especially Mommy misses you too."
"really? I thought Aunt Jesslyn had forgotten about me. Is his son just you? I mean how many kids is Aunt Jesslyn now?"
"I have a little sister named Lovely. And now he's 14." Answer Nathan.
And after that. No more chatter. They were again shrouded in silence, only the clangs of spoons and forks touching each other. And after dinner, they decided to take a walk to enjoy the beauty of Seoul at night.
.
.
Nathan and Vivian are enjoying the Banpo Bridge. Although not the largest or longest natural waterfall in the world. But this rainbow waterfall managed to win the title of waterfall bridge in the world.
Banpo Bridge is an artificial waterfall in Seoul, South Korea. This waterfall is famous for the beauty of its colorful waterfall like a rainbow. This waterfall is a night attraction sought by many couples in Seoul because of the romantic nuances it brings.
The uniqueness of the fountain that stands on the flow of the Han river is located in the spray of water that is illuminated by 10,000 LED lights that line up to more than a thousand meters. The fountain itself is sourced from the Han river water.
"It's a good step if we go here with a couple. It must be more romantic." Vivian broke the silence.
"I think so, too,"
"I don't have a boyfriend!!" Nathan replied quickly. "Then what about you?"
"He's not here, we've had two more years of contact. And I don't know where he is now, alive or dead." Answer Vivian.
"Your lover?" Guess Nathan's full of probes.
Vivian nodded. "Yes, our relationship started three years ago. One year our relationship went on and all was well, but suddenly she disappeared without any news two years ago. I've been looking for her, asking her friends, and some say she went to marry the man her family chose." Vivian.
There is discomfort in Nathan's feelings when it turns out Vivian already has a lover. What's wrong with that? There is no special bond between the two of them, she and Vivian are just childhood friends, nothing more.
There are no sweet promises like in dramas and telenovelas when two little friends part ways, only a promise to meet again when grown up and not forget each other. But why does it feel so strange when Nathan knows if Vivian ever had a lover, is not he also had a relationship with a girl. Isn't that a natural and commonplace thing?!
"Then do you still expect him to come back?"
Vivian shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know myself. Waiting for certainty for two years sometimes makes me tired and want to give up. Yes, indeed I was hoping to meet him even if it was only for a moment, because I just wanted to know what reason he suddenly left and left me without saying anything." His word.
"How do you feel about him now?"
"I don't know myself. Perhaps due to being too disappointed, the feeling slowly dissipated and was swept away by the night wind."
"Why don't you try to open your heart to others. Aren't there many who pursue you and want to be your lover? Maybe one of them can make you forget her,"
Vivian shakes. "Building and starting a relationship is not that simple. There must be love, sincerity and mutual trust. And a relationship will work well if two parties are honest and there are no secrets. Comfort, it is also important. So how can I start a relationship with someone based on a momentary feeling." Vivian said at length.
Vivian's speech made Nathan speechless. It's true what the girl said. The real foundation of a relationship is love, comfort, affection and mutual openness. Because without those four things, how can the relationship go well.
"It's late, I'll drive you home." Said Nathan who then replied nod by Vivian.
.
.
After taking Vivian home. Nathan didn't go home right away, he stopped his big car on the Han river bank. The young man took out a pack of cigarettes and a bat from his pants pocket.
The young man just silently looked at the flowing river water quietly. Nothing interesting at all, it all looks the same. Nathan threw away his cigarette butts that only stayed half and got into his car.
The new sports car is slowly leaving the Han River. And speeding on the rough night streets.
