"i won't ask you for anything if you fail." she replied, which made Carissa relieved and decided to accept the challenge so that it would be over quickly.

"if you refuse, I will punish you, so which one will you choose? you do the challenge if you fail you stay safe, or you refuse the challenge you'll be my personal servant forever, and get kicked out of the second prince's future concubine because you'll be my servant." said Leonard who made Damian surprised and did not accept the decision of Leonard who seized his prospective concubine to be made his personal servant for good.

"i don't agree" Damian replied, rejecting what made Carissa and the crown prince look at him.

"the servant does not agree if the prospective slave concubine is made a noble personal servant." said Damian did not accept and defended Carissa.

"you want to defy my command of the second prince?" leonard doesn't like Damian defending Carissa.

"forgive the noble servant it is the duty of the servant to defend the rights and property of the noble servant, for how is Carissa also the future concubine of the servant.???" damian said subtly by bowing his body a sign of respect as well as apologizing for daring to defy the crown prince's orders.

Carissa's heart warms to Damian's defense, she's happy there's still good people in this age who want to defend and support her, and Carissa doesn't want Damian to get into trouble because of her.

"well, your majesty, I accept your challenge." Carissa replied with a glance from Leonard and Damian.

"good..quickly start I don't want you to waste too much time." she replied in a still upset tone and then she clapped back.

And out came 4 bodyguards who would bring some targets to shoot, a water jug, a bottle of drink, apples and strawberries.

"you're gonna have to shoot a target over their head with a shotgun that I'm gonna point at, if you miss a little bit, their lives are at stake, and automatically all of their families are your responsibility." said the crown prince who made everyone surprised instead of playing, while Carissa just remained silent and stared far away at her target.

"do you understand?"

Carissa just nodded her head in understanding, Leonard immediately showed one by one the firearms Carissa would use to shoot her target, Carissa looked long at the weapons.

"are you sure?" damian asked to see that Carissa was just silently looking at all the firearms of the crown prince's private collection.

Carissa saw a look of worry on Damian's face when she saw him, and Carissa's heart warmed up again because it had been a long time since no one had put on a worried face like Damian's current face for her, the last time she saw the face of her mother's worries before she died.

Carissa involuntarily smiled sweetly at Damian, due to the influence of her warming heart seeing Damian's worried look on her.

"servant should try it, what noble can believe in servant?" reply and ask back to Carissa with her sweet and sincere smile that stunned and fascinated Damian, with Damian's reflexes nodding his head in agreement and believing in Carissa.

The crown prince and the third prince were also stunned and fascinated to see Carissa's sweet and sincere smile for Damian, this was the first time they both saw the smile from Carissa's always flat and cold face.

'so beautiful and sweet this girl.' murmured the crown prince and the third prince were entranced to see Carissa.
