Chapter.35 The Trial

Today is Alle's first court hearing on a child custody transfer case. Alle went to court without a lawyer. The reason why he did not appoint a lawyer is a cost consideration. This should not have happened if he had accepted Aksa's request to be Chilla's father at that time. Of course it was not a big deal for Aksa to charge a lawyer.

Another reason is that he believes he still has a great chance of retaining custody of Chilla. Because she felt she had carried out her duty well as a mother to Chilla.

Alle came earlier than Fadil. Outside the courtroom she saw her ex-husband coming along with his wife. Just like the divorce trial. The woman who used to be the reason for the destruction of the household between Fadil and Alle was fond of the former.

"Hi, All," said Fadil as he stopped in front of Alle.

"Hi" replied Alle.

"What are you, where's your lawyer?" ask Fadil.

"I'm alone, and I don't need a lawyer" Alle replied firmly.

"In that case, be prepared to lose," said the haughty Mira. Mira's eyes look so bright if the woman doesn't like Alle at all.

"The trial hasn't started yet but you're so sure you're going to beat Alle, isn't it too early. You don't even know what kind of strategy Alle's gonna use to defend her child's custody."

The voice from behind Alle made the widow turn her head. Aksa walks up to him with a man he knows as a good lawyer. Henry Sudrajat's.

"Sir Aksa," Alle said as the man was right next to her.

"I will support you" Aksa whispered.

Making Fadil's chest feel hot to see the closeness of his ex-wife with his boss. Not wanting to see any further scenes that would make him even more upset, Fadil just passed by. Until he forgot to leave his wife alone.

"Mas Fadil, wait!" mira exclaimed as Fadil unceremoniously walked into the courtroom.

Alle doesn't care about Fadil or his wife. Right now he is only focusing on Aksa. "Kok Father can be here. I have permission, right from yesterday?"

"Yes, I know," replied Aksa lightly.

"Then, Mr. Henry, what's here for. Sorry sir before, but I'm not ...."

"I asked him. I'll pay for his services, too" cut Aksa fast.

"Now you sign the power of attorney over Mr. Henry. He will be the lawyer who accompanies you," said Aksa.

Alle was surprised. His eyes even opened wide.

"Excuse me for a moment, sir," Alle told Mr. Henry before he pulled Aksa away from the lawyer.

"What does Pak Aksa mean, anyway?" alle asked by pressing his voice so that no one else could hear him, including Henry.

"I have a good intention. I just want to help you defend Chilla. Isn't that your goal?"

"But, sir, Mr. Henry's payment is very expensive. My savings will not be enough to pay Mr. Henry" Alle said honestly.

"I told you, I'll pay you, not you."

"Well that's also a problem for me, because I don't want to accept Pak Aksa as my husband."

Hearing Alle's rejection that was so vivid Aksa actually looked at the woman fixedly. The tube drew closer until Alle inevitably retreated to avoid Aksa. His body was cornered on the sturdy pillar of the court.

Aksa's hand rests Alle to the right and left of the woman's head. "Are you sure you won't accept me?" ask Aksa.

"I asked, do you really not want to accept me as your husband?" urged Aksa.

"Sir, please be a little far away." Alle ignored Aksa's question because she was more preoccupied with her embarrassment. Being the center of attention of everyone who passes is something that Alle does not want to feel.

"Yes sir, I don't want to accept you as my husband because I'm afraid of Mom Sekar" replied Alle in the end.

"If you agree, do you agree?"

"I haven't thought about it yet, sir."

Aksa smiled with her secretary's honest answer. He let go of the hand that had blocked Alle from earlier and moved away from the woman.

"Well, I'll get Mama to agree with our relationship. Now you go in first and Mr. Henry will be your lawyer."

"But, Mr ...."

Alle has not had time to express her refusal, Aksa has already cut. "If you refuse, I drag you now to KUA."

Not wanting his business to be longer with the boss, Alle also complies. He accepted his boss' offer to use Mr. Henry as a lawyer who would accompany him.

Finally before they all entered the courtroom, Alle agreed to sign a power of attorney to make Mr. Henry his lawyer.

In the closed-door hearing, Alle was confronted with the facts that attacked her. Fadil seems to have prepared everything carefully.

The allegations that Alle was an unfit mother to care for Chilla came from her ex-husband's lawyer. They even provided evidence of the charges against Alle.

Alle is too busy working to forget about Chilla's mental condition which requires affection and attention from a mother. Until allegations that Alle's behavior is inappropriate serve as a role model for a girl like Chilla.

Rumors circulated in Alle's office, proving that the woman had behavior that violated the norm. Fadil's lawyer even explicitly mentioned that in addition to being Alle's secretary was also a mistress for his boss.

There, Aksa who heard the false accusations became furious and almost went black to beat the lawyer's mouth. But was detained by Mr. Henry with a hand gesture.

"So Your Majesty, the closeness between Mother Alleyah and her superior is very unnatural. And it's not a secret anymore, everyone in the office where Ms. Alleyah works knows about it" Fadil's lawyer said.

"We have evidence of what we said" Fadil's lawyer said. The man also provided photographic evidence as well as footage taken with a hidden camera.

Alle was surprised to see the photo when she and Aksa were shopping at the supermarket at the time. At that time he suspected someone was following him, but Aksa dismissed everything. And now it's proven that Fadil has people to spy on him.

Not to mention the allegations if Alle teledor as an old man for making Chilla drown due to negligence. Fadil's lawyer even said Alle was too cool to date to forget about Chilla. This is evidenced by the photo.

Alle did not expect if all Fadil had prepared very carefully. Various accusations were leveled at him.

Alle tried to deny all the allegations even though the evidence presented was real.

Because the trial was going on and all parties felt more appropriate to take care of Chilla. Finally the judge decided to hold a second hearing two weeks ahead.

Alle's lawyers have not been able to defend optimally because they only talked for a while before entering the courtroom. Even so, Mr. Henry tried to observe and record anything that he could use against Fadil and his lawyer in the next trial.

"Calm down, we still have a chance to prove that what they're accusing is not true" Aksa said.

"We're going to look for evidence that's stronger than them and that's going to leave them with no chance of getting custody of Chilla" he added.

Alle who felt still confused by the statements of Fadil's lawyer felt down. They have clearly accused and denigrated Alle's self-esteem as a mother and a woman.

Especially when you see your ex-husband and his wife walking arrogantly through it. They seemed to be mocking Alle with his nervous self-defense earlier.

Quickly, Aksa pulled Alle into her body. Hiding the woman's face in her chest so as not to see the behavior of her former secretary's husband.

"Not to be seen, nor to be ignored. Let them laugh now because we will come out as the winner" Aksa assured.

Alle looked up, staring at the seriousness on her superior face.
