Shiena Story

Shiena Story
13. Favorite books.

After returning from the tomb of Athaya Aydin, the house is still in a state of desolation. There is no activity as usual. That's exactly what Keenan has been doing since his father died. One full day the workers would do nothing but have to stay at home and pray for the Father. For the sincere to do it.

Nana was still asleep in her room. He rested his body as he continued to cry in the car. Sleeping after crying is very comfortable. I don't know, but it's very convenient.

Athaya Aydin's wife, Jinni Aydin, also looked gloomy. Probably remembering her husband. From now on, Jinni was only in his room. I don't know what Keenan's mother did in the room.

While the young mistress of this house who is none other than Shiena is also off work. It has been taken care of by her husband's private secretary about licensing her off she said. So Shiena with boredom that started to overwhelm her was in the room.

Just remembered something when he had been continuously daydreaming here and there. Moving on from her seat on the sofa of the room, Shiena exited the room and headed straight for the next room which was none other than the library. He still remembers, there is one book that has not been finished reading.

Sitting comfortably in her favorite spot in the library, Shiena began to read through the ten-inch-thick sheets of the book. Sometimes his forehead wiggles. Sometimes his little mouth was amazed by what he read.

Doing what we love is fun. Sometimes we are not aware of our surroundings.

Like Shiena who was currently unconscious if her flat husband was already sitting on the sofa next to her sitting down. Sitting side by side with Shiena still reading books and the husband who kept staring at his wife who often smiled in reading.

Not noticeably, the thick book that Shiena had been reading for the past three days, was now finished. Arrived at the last page.

The slender body that had wanted to move from his seat was jumped in shock when he realized that the husband was sitting next to him.

Now different. Keenan's back rested against the back of the sofa with both hands folded on his chest as well as his two eyes closed. Looks very calm.

"That's my dad's favorite book." Unasked, and not as usual, Keenan began to open the conversation.

His eyes were open and displayed an eyeball as black as that very sharp night. His gaze was still straight forward where the trees around his house were blown by the wind. Very peaceful.

"Everytime you come home from work, Papi will also go to the library and sit here with the book you're holding." Again, Keenan spoke. This time it was long. Not short as usual.

The man beside her felt strange because her husband spoke a lot, but Shiena remained silent in his place, not budging in the least. Like ready to listen to her husband's story.

"The book was a gift from my late grandfather and was well liked by my father."

Wait wait!

Did Shiena just not look wrong?

Keenans.

Her husband's.

Aye! Is correct.

Her husband was smiling. Well, even thin.

'If he smiles often, he will look more handsome.'

While conscious of her own thoughts, Shiena hit her head.

'Isshhh... Think what the hell am I.'

Shame in his own mind.

"Would you like to hear a story about my father?"

"Um, of course." Shiena answered the mantab. Actually he was also curious about his late father-in-law.

Shiena was already sitting comfortably back. I don't know where the courage came from, but Shiena faced her husband who had been staring out of the balcony.

"He's a very nice guy I know. Loving his whole family." There was a pause before Keenan continued his story.

"The fireman is a great man in every field. Business, academia, society, family. No matter how busy Papi is, he'll take the time to play with me and Nana every day."

"It's time to spend alone with Mami on the sidelines of her busy family business."

"The burden on his shoulders is too heavy. To make him forget his own health."

"Said Uncle Max (uncle Max was his personal secretary Papi Athaya) Papi often late to eat, just a little rest. Schedule check to the doctor often Papi ignored just to see clients or run other tasks."

Keenan's face looks sad when talking about the father. Shiena kept silent, not wanting to interrupt or ask her husband. Allowing the husband to bring out all his complaints. Shiena promised, will be ready to be a shoulder for her husband to lean on when the husband needs. Shiena will be a strength to her husband when her husband is fragile. Although the love between them had yet to grow, Shiena would strive to love this man beside her who was still staring heartily out of the balcony.

Honestly, just this time Shiena saw the look on her husband's face other than flat. But why did Shiena have to see her husband grieve. Ah... His heart was a little claustrophobic looking at the sad gaze of the owner of the black eye bead.
