Singers Without Ears
=10= Old Wounds

As per the instructions of the Uncle, Haru could only wait by sitting on the short sofa in the middle of the room. A few seconds later, the uncle walked towards Haru with a brown envelope in his right hand. The uncle sat down on the sofa right in front of Haru, then he placed the brown envelope that he had been sitting on the table.

“This is the file you're looking for, but this is all old data. So chances are something has changed,” said the Uncle.

“Okay, thank you.” Haru picked up the brown envelope on the table, and quickly opened it.

“But, by the way why ask your classmates' personal data?” asked the Uncle with suspicious eyes.

“Heem?! Ah... This, some days there is a person named Yihyun, he claimed to be my classmate in Junior High, he wanted to ask for my personal number through instagram, but I'm not sure... afraid he was a stalker and instead spread my number, so yes.. I was forced to ask Uncle to look for this data,” Haru replied accompanied by a big smile cast a false excuse, to hide the original reason.

“Ah.. yes too, let alone you are an idol. If your personal number is spread, your safety can also be threatened,” reply Uncle.

“Heem. Yaudah then Uncle, I say goodbye first. because there is still a filming schedule today.” Haru stood up from his seat to end his conversation with his uncle.

“Heem,” replied his Uncle quickly.

Before leaving the room, do not forget Haru bent a little to show his courtesy to the Uncle who has an older age. Only then did Haru walk out of the room while carrying the file that the Uncle had given.

Something unexpected happened when Haru walked down the hallway of his school, someone immediately recognized him even though his face was covered in a mask and hat.

“Eh, it's not Kak Haru?” muttered a uniformed student who was walking with his friend after crossing paths with Haru.

“Ho, I think so too,” said his friend.

“Wait here for a minute.” One of the girls quickly approached Haru who was accelerating his pace.

The student continued to chase Haru tirelessly, and when it was close he immediately blocked Haru's path. “Excuse me, are you Brother Haru?!” ask the student.

Haru sighed when he found out that his steps had been overtaken by people who might have been his fans. He could only nod slowly with resignation while pulling down the mask that covered half his face.

“Wahh... great, really Kak Haru,” said the student put on a sparkling and amazed face.

“Then can I ask for his signature?” the student returned, taking out a piece of paper and a ballpoint pen from his uniform pocket.

“Heem, please,” replied Haru throwing a big smile, receiving a paper and ballpoint pen from the student in front of him.

“Sorry, can I borrow his back?” haru is back.

“Heem.” The student happily twisted her body and lent her back to serve as a wall where Haru could affix her signature to the white paper of the schoolgirl.

“Your name?” Haru again asked the name of the student for her to write along with the signature she would give.

“I Song Tami,” reply the schoolgirl.

After signing the student's paper, Haru immediately returned the paper and pen he borrowed. “Thank you very much Kak Haru,” said the schoolgirl while bowing her body a little.

“Heem, equally. Remember don't give the paper to others, the signature is expensive.so keep it to yourself,” Haru replies back throwing his big smile.

“Iya for sure, but... can I ask for photos too? Because later it was thought this signature was fake,” said the schoolgirl put on a face.

“Alright then,” nods Haru approves.

The schoolgirl quickly took her phone, she tried to take a picture with her own hands, but no matter what. To make it difficult to position the camera, until both feet tiptoed even though he could not equal his height with Haru. In the end Haru who saw the struggling fans could only smile thinly while glancing at him.

“Sini let me hold.” Haru snatched the cellphone the student was holding and tried to equalize his height with the student, then he quickly took 2 pictures at once.

“It's right? Then excuse me first, because I have to continue filming.” Once again Haru showed his humble nature in front of his fans, he also did not hesitate to bow in front of the fans before continuing his steps.

“Wahh... pantesan aja her fans a lot, people she was as friendly as her fans,” muttered Tami turned her body and returned to her class.

After giving his autograph to the fans, Haru immediately got into his car and immediately spurred him away from the school, while the Uncle who peeked at Haru from behind the window of his room upstairs could only mumble, “We'll see my nephew, what can you do with some of that paper.”

....

Haru who was already in the middle of the journey was suddenly distracted by a large tree that was still standing firmly on the edge of the lake not far from Myungsung Junior High School. “The tree... it turns out there is still,” Haru's inner as he continues to stare towards the tree he means.

Both of his eyes were still focused towards the big tree, making his heart suddenly waver until he turned the steering wheel of his car towards the big tree he meant. In the end he parked his car, and walked up to the big tree he kept looking at. Upon arriving before the big tree he was referring to, he continued to look at him every part of the tree.

The old tree house where Haru played in the past still remains firmly standing, its shape is still the same semicircular shape that makes him recall his mass. His strong claws immediately led his steps to climb into the tree house in front of him, one by one he climbed up to the top of the tree house.

The wind from the cool lake direction was immediately hit Haru's face, to be able to spread his brown hair when he reached the top of the tree house. “Everything here has not changed, from the lake, the tree house and also...the tree,” murmured Haru who immediately turned his body to face the big tree, and, the foundation of the tree house that he peed.

Haru walked closer to the tree house, his one hand slowly getting rid of the moss that was attached to the body of the tree. When the green moss was out of the way, a sign of “HS Forever” appeared. He was silent when he found out that the writing was still engraved neatly there, his breath suddenly appeared accompanied by a soft blink of his eyes while muttering, “ It turns out everything is really still the same.

”Without Haru noticing someone suddenly saying his words, “Of course everything is still the same.”

“Semi?! Why are you here?” tanya Haru threw her surprised expression, as she found out the person she knew was already in front of her.

“I should have asked you, why can you be here?” reply Semi.

“Not your business.” Haru's face quickly turned cold again. His two feet again stepped down the stairs and felt like they wanted to quickly go from the front of Semi.

“Hey Haru, wait a minute!” pekik Semi followed Haru's step down the stairs, she quickly confronted Haru and did not let him go any further.

“I ask you for 5 minutes. not 3 minutes, to speak four eyes,” said Semi in front of Haru directly.

Semi's request once again made Haru become a little hesitant, to make him re-exhale his heavy breath. “Oke, 3 minutes,” reply while stepping back up to the top of the tree house.

The clock was ticking, and the clouds were continuing to follow the wind, already one minute Haru and Semi were just standing staring deep into the lake, with no one starting the conversation first. Haru who felt that he already knew the question to be thrown Semi tried to open the conversation first.

“Because of the fire,” Haru chirps to dare himself break the silence between them.

“Ho?!” tanya Semi was a little surprised by Haru's deep voice.

“My ears are like this.. because of the Myungsung Junior High canteen fire. Isn't that what you want to ask?” clearly Haru while turning her gaze towards Semi.

“Heem, I've been wanting to ask that for a long time. So what is the reason you really want to stay away from me? Am I wrong with you?” ask Semi back.

“Nothing, you're not wrong with me. I just don't want you to get hurt, being close to me,” Haru replied.

“Open?! Why would I get hurt if I was close to you?” Semi kept throwing questions that still made her curious.

“Because I tried...” Haru said back to explain what he already knew.
