"You sure, Akashi?" asked Ushijima who was changing her school uniform with a Grey T-shirt inside the toilet. It seems like they had planned this after Karasuno a few days ago, it also seems that they are planning to move directly to Osaka this Saturday.
"Yes, you promised me too. Please don't hesitate like this" replied Akashi who was waiting in front of the mirror.
"I won't hesitate on my promise, but I doubt your mentality." Ushijima straight out of the toilet, he had changed into black jeans and a t-shirt he wore made anyone would be lured to him.
"There's no need to worry about me" said Akashi, who left the toilet first, followed by Ushijima who followed him.
"Why not wait for a holiday? Is Saturday and Sunday enough for a vacation to Osaka?" ask Ushijima.
"Stop complaining, we're going home tomorrow afternoon. I also did not want to skip school, so I deliberately chose to go there after school." Akashi picked up two train tickets in his pocket, before they had bought them.
"All right, it's up to you." Ushijima began to budge, tired of arguing with Akashi who had a strong will. Where he only followed the steps of Akashi who walked on the train, coincidentally at that time the train was quite crowded by the workers who returned from his office.
The atmosphere in the car is really quite crowded, it is fast dubbed as the Busiest Country in the World. Fortunately, the distance from Tokyo to Osaka is only about three hours and it is not too tiring for passengers to crimp together inside, just imagine what it would be like to spend hours there crowded and unusual.
"At last he can sit too" said Ushijima, who was relieved when he got a chair to sit. Unlike Akashi who did not care at all, he was busy staring at his mother's notebook which he deliberately brought from Home. He carefully observed the photos of his parents who were holding a tiny toddler named Yuki.
"Don't look at it, you'll get jealous." Ushijima is trying to commemorate Akashi.
"I know," cried Akashi who immediately put the photo back into his book. Then, he leaned back for a moment while looking at the train that started to walk away from Tokyo.
"This is the first time I've been on a train, Ushijima-san." Akashi started the conversation first between them, it was not good to also vent his feelings of regret to Ushijima who had been doing good to him all this time.
"Have it a few times, but as a child. And the only memory I remember was the last time I rode the train with a complete parent" Ushijima said with a smile, not looking at Akashi. But he could realize that Akashi was looking at him right now.
"How do you interpret your life, Ushijima-san?" asked Akashi who usually never cared about other people's affairs.
"How is it?" Ushijima smiled, leaning along while hugging his backpack.
"I don't know, I don't know how meaningful my life is. I'm just a high school teenager who wants to feel the good times and grow well" Ushijima continued, staring up at the ceiling of the train.
"I wasn't born a rich family like you, but I didn't come from a poor family either. And you know for yourself, that I don't have a whole family like most other teenagers. But I will not blame anyone with the fate line that God has created on me" said Ushijima again who stopped leaning and looked at Akashi who was wearing a tight face.
"I'm not insinuating you, I'm just blushing. For me, everything that happens in my life is not entirely the fault of the adults. They used to be just a kid like us, but unfortunately they forgot to treat their already injured Inner Child. The impact is even affected to those of us who are born as their children, without even once they intend to break the terrible chain that unknowingly injures us as well." Ushijima ruffled his sister's hair as usual.
"Then, what about your Inner Child now?" ask Akashi.
"What do you think life is like, Akashi?" tanya Ushijima who is also curious about what Akashi is thinking about his own life.
"I've been very appreciative of my life all along, but that feeling has started to become indecisive ever since the secret was exposed. That's why I need to go to Osaka, I have to find a reason that can restore my doubts." Akashi stared down for a moment.
"But I disagree with your opinion, for me adults are just selfish creatures. They want to have perfect children, but they forget how to be perfect parents for their children. And the only thing that is still embedded in my life, I mean this life to always win. My parents always taught me to always win at everything, for them it was a tradition to be achieved or you were just considered a failure." Akashi seemed determined to say it, Ushijima who could feel the excitement of Akashi immediately sought the sense to shift the topic.
"Hey, Akashi! You see that little sister," pointed Ushijima at the pair of parents who were carrying their children while sitting in a position that was not too comfortable.
"Then?" ask Akashi.
"Not all parents are bad, right? They seem to be joking with their daughter, although the mother feels a little uncomfortable sitting because she holds the little girl."
"You're right, but I don't care about anyone else's life. Maybe his life was luckier than mine" said Akashi, who felt stupid.
"Based on selfish people! You shouldn't judge people through your experience alone" Ushijima lamented. He pointed towards the other passengers.
"Then, what do you think of the middle-aged man wearing a lethargic shirt with that glare?" ask Ushijima.
"Maybe he just came home drinking with his coworkers" Akashi replied.
"You sure?" ask Ushijima again.
"Yes, there is no way a career man who just came home from work even looks like that. She must have had fun with her friends all night, so her face was lethargic because of sleepiness."
"If you're sure, why don't you just ask yourself?" challenge Ushijima who immediately provoked Akashi.
"What do you want to make a bet if I'm right, Ushijima-San?" asked Akashi who did not hesitate.
"You can hit my forehead twice, but I'll do the opposite if you guess me wrong."
"Okay, let's see now." Akashi immediately stood up to meet the man, he looked very confident in his guess. Ushijima just enjoyed from the bench alone, he hoped his guess Akashi would be wrong and could win that bet.
