The locked room

About half an hour Mr. Khaidir was in my sister's room, the lights that were originally extinguished seemed to be turned back on from the inside, the door opened, Mr. Khaidir came out of the room with a sweaty forehead, he fixed the coffee position for a while.

His step slowly towards us who were waiting in the middle room, some time he stopped and saw his left hand holding the prayer beads speeding up several times, like the middle of throwing something away.

When Mr. Khaidir finally shook his butt in the chair we were in, he shook his head as he turned the prayer beads. Mother immediately presented a glass filled with tea water that had been made, "Please sir, drink the water," said Mother. Mr. Khaidir nodded slowly and took a glass of tea, he drank the contents until the toilet, like feeling so thirsty. After that, put the empty glass back on the table.

His hands were now busy justifying the position of the cloth that was slinged over his shoulders. I was finally impatient, powerless to resist asking, "How did it go, sir..?"

He looked at my face. A little while until his mouth answered, "Little forms..."

A series of short words that came out of Pak Khaidir's mouth was enough to make me and Mom look at each other, without I want the fur of my nape bristling.

***

Mr. Khaidir is the Chairman of the Management in our neighborhood Mosque, many say that he has advantages, can treat the sick, and see things supernatural. Well, for that second ability I invited him home, at my mother's behest.

It started two days earlier. Because of a lot of work at work, a little night I got home. Around eight o'clock at night.

Arriving at home mom was seen in front of waiting for a sembako shop owned by our family. I then said my greetings and went straight into a pair of shoes, I thought I was going to take a shower and change clothes.

I took a towel in the room. I saw the room facing my bedroom closed. Means my sister's staying at Mom's place tonight, my mind.

After the shower I went back into the room, seen the door of my sister's room is still closed, the tumben he had rest when not to mention nine o'clock at night. I pushed the door, my intention was to take the electrical terminal in his room. It was locked, I was about to call him, but I paused, afraid to interrupt.

After changing my clothes to the front, my mother was busy weighing the sugar.

"Mom, is Teak nginep here?" I asked my mother. Jati is my sister, she is married, and lives at her in-laws' house, sometimes stopping by just for a break, or visiting us. I'm still single, I haven't met my soul mate.

"No, why?" answer and ask back.

"Well, is the bedroom locked?"

To stay at his parents' house, one room in our house was left empty. The room is the room of the Teak, if at any time he stopped by or stayed overnight.

"Ah, which is true? He didn't come here in the afternoon?" answer Mother in astonishment.

"If you don't believe me try to look at yourself, I just took the terminal in the room, but I pushed you can't," I said.

Curious that the mother who was weighing the sugar got up, and towards the room I meant, I followed her from behind.

Arriving in front of the room, he approached the door, "This was just a closed mother, just push gini aja open," he said while pushing the door.

"How can't this be?" Try it in the push once again, and the result is the same.

I tried to push the door, "It can't be ma'am, it's locked from the inside..."

Duk! Duk! Hit the door leaf, "Jati! Teak up! Are you inside, son!?" Call mom.

There is no lawfulness. "Daddy! Teak up! Wake up, kid, open the door, there's your brother!" Call again.

Still no legalities. I looked, "Where is this? What's in dalem?" Confused ask.

I am also confused, if my sister is on the floor why not nyahut? If not Teak, then who is inside!!??

Suspicion struck my heart, "Mom, wait here, let me look through the window next to the room" I said.

Without waiting for his nod, I went straight to the kitchen, from which there was indeed a small hallway in the house, and the window I meant was in the hallway.

Immediately ventured a little gordyn cloth, just under the window lay my brother's bed. Blank. There was no one in bed. I moved it wider so it looked like the whole room. Empty, there's nobody in that room.

It's weird, why empty? My eyes watch the door of the room. Locked up. From where I was lurking it was clear the door was locked the latch at the top.

Crazy, crazy, who's locking from the inside!? After being satisfied watching the condition of the room, I turned towards where Mom was waiting.

"Where?" ask the impatient mother.

"empty.." I whispered.

"empty...?? Who is going to be scrapping?"

"Obviously there's someone inside Mom, I don't know who, I can only see the top, the bottom of the room is blocked by the bed" I said in a whisper.

"Most?" Whispers anyway.

"Maybe.please step aside, let me peek through the bottom of the door" I said. After mother slightly retreated, I began to peek at the bottom of the door, there was a small gap there, enough to keep an eye on the inside of the room.

My eyes narrowed trying to see really the inside of the room from below. Blank. Still I don't see any part of the human body I thought was hiding at the bottom. After a long period of fruitless watching, I finally woke up.

"Ada?" ask mother. I'm shaking.

"What is this crus..?" ask mom again.

"Mother wait here, let me place it good for a moment to ask for her help." Mom nodded, and I rushed to my friend's house, which was two houses away from where we were staying.

Good thing it was at home, even his brother and another friend of mine the Bongi was chatting there.

I quickly told you about a strange event that happened at home. "Obviously there is a thief, afraid of being caught crashing in the room!" Allegedly Bongi, after I told you a story.

Without waiting for a long time we returned home, there mother was still waiting anxiously.

Three of my colleagues took turns to check by peering from under the door or from the side of the window. After not seeing a single figure inside, we began to think about how to open the locked door.

"Take the bamboo pole, we enter it through the side window, push the latch truss," suggested Suto brother Bagus.

Hearing the telling suggestion, I immediately went out of the house, as I recall there was one bamboo pole that was commonly used as a flag pole leaning beside the house. Once I got the bamboo pole, I brought it quickly into the house.

I asked Bagus and Bongi to guard at the door of the room, just in case there was a human inside who tried to break out once the door opened.

While Suto and I carried the pole to the side of the room, at first it was a bit difficult to put the long pole into the window of the hollow nako, but finally we slowly managed to break through the pole through the window, directing it to the door, and by slowly pushing the lock of the door latch open, it failed several times, and finally, it worked! The door opened, I pulled back the bamboo pole, and Suto and I rushed to the door of my sister's room.

Good and Bongi already knew the door had opened, but they were hesitant to barge in. When I got to the front door, without hesitation entered my sister's room. Blank. There was really no one in the room, even though we had searched every corner of the room, under the bed, or in the closet, there was still no creature visible in my sister's room.

That's why you finally asked me to invite Mr. Khaidir.

***

"Perhaps among the small forms there are those who play with the deadbolt, until without realizing it locks the door," concluded Mr. Khaidir when he saw me and Mother still silent with their own feelings.

I don't know, until now the mystery of the locked room door has not been explained logically. Or is...? What exactly did Mr Khaidir say?

So-called.
