Chapter 5: Marriage Only Happens If Men Want It

I cried hysterically in front of Bo Ra and Seola. Jae Yoon has been missing for two weeks, when I realized that in his new office there was no one in his office that I knew. His parents asked me what was going on between us. 

I lied, of course, considering that my parents loved me more than my real parents. I couldn't see the sad face of her mother who had put hope in our relationship. 

“The marriage only happens if the man wants it,” Seola said 

“What is your case also the same?” ask Bo Ra.

“Yaaa!, the difference between Jae Yoon and that jerk Im Hyun Seong,” cried Seola.

“Why Jae Yoon became a jerk. You said you guys always discuss even small things,” asked Bo Ra.

“She said nothing when I wanted to apologize,” I said sobbing. Countless how many tissues Seola had spent.

“Do not waste your tears for cowardly men. Keep living your life,” entertain Seola.

The last time I cried so much I could hardly breathe when my father died. Now I'm crying for a man who's been around somewhere.

For days I was so late in grief. My friends made me realize that I was the only one saddened by this breakup, that Jae Yoon might be with someone else.

“Shortly! Farewell...?” 

“Jae Yoon actually wanted to break up with me so she disappeared because she didn't want to get married,” my conclusion made all sense.

I am the only one who is serious and hopes for this relationship. Never mind!, maybe not a soul mate and the bouquet of flowers is still in the seat of his car.

I looked through the list of dramas that Bo Ra sent me. Now there's nothing I do after work, other than eating and sleeping. 

“Yumi Cells, this drama suits you,” Bo Ra said excitedly

“I don't like the ending,” comments Seola

“Endingnya why,” asku curious.

“Don't listen to him! Just watch not exciting if the ending I tell you” forced Bo Ra.

Watching one episode hooked me up and ended the drama's marathon until two in the morning and couldn't sleep after. Tomorrow we have to go to work. 

I agree with the drama, the most dominant sell in men is self-esteem. Jae Yoon runs away when he hears of marriage.

I don't know, my life has to go on. That day I decided to remove Jae Yoon from my life and live my life as before. Ok Bit Na is supple and confident.

I breathed in some fresh air and arrived at the office earlier than the others. Today the taste of coffee in the office pantry is much more delicious than the coffee in my apartment.

“How?” ask Bo Ra.

“I like the drama,” I'm sure.

“There is still a second season,” said Bo Ra.

Good afternoon come home later I will watch again, my mind. 

“drrt” my phone vibrates. Call in from my mom. I stay away from the crowd.

“Eoma,”.

“Why never go home? Next week during the chuseok celebration come with Jae Yoon”, my mother said.

“I will come myself” said I was lazy.

“Do not argue, just come with your girlfriend. I will introduce prospective ghosts to our extended family” said Mother excitedly.

“We've broken up” I'm not sure.

“What??? Hurry up and apologize. You're not young anymore, it's hard to find a replacement as good as Jae Yoon. If you don't come with him, don't step foot in this house!” shouted mom. 

I stared at my phone screen which looked dark.

Good thing, I don't have to come to that celebration, and I won't put my widowed mother to shame. 

I can't imagine coming with Jae Yoon to my family's show, when my uncle and aunt asked “When are you married?” and Jae Yoon replied “ I was thinking about marriage” or more terrible “I didn't think I was going to marry” thankfully we broke up before Jae Yoon met my extended family.
