A 30-year-old man with a thin mustache was sitting on the floor of Bedander's pakuwon foyer when Watugunung arrived.
His face was familiar, as he had seen.
The man hurriedly bowed respectfully to Panji Watugunung when the Garuda Panjalu commander arrived at the portico.
"So you who appointed Gusti Adipati to become the new Akuwu Bedander?", asked Watugunung with a probing glance.
"Yes Gusti Panglima, I Sindupati who appointed Gusti Adipati to be the new Akuwu Bedander", the man bowed respectfully.
'Syndupati? Isn't Tumenggung Sancaka's son from the Bracelets?'
"If not wrong, this child is the second son of Tumenggung Sancaka from the Bracelets is not it?", said Watugunung with a smile.
"How does Gusti Panglima know?", replied Sindupati afraid of fear.
"Of course you can, Kakang Watugunung is the son of the Regent of Bracelets", said Sekar Mayang who from earlier noticed.
Sindupati was surprised, a little bit he began to remember the face of Panji Watugunung who was present during the celebration at the Bracelets.
"Forcible Sindupati the ignorant Gusti Panji, Sindupati deserves punishment", Sindupati immediately prostrated to Panji Watugunung.
"Stand the Syndupati,
How is the story you got in Seloageng?", asked Watugunung curious.
Sindupati then told about her matchmaking with Pakuwon Ganter's daughter. Now Sindupati is Akuwu Ganter's son-in-law, Rakai Kulawu.
Panji Watugunung mangosteen just heard the story of Sindupati.
"Listen Sindupati, from now on you are Akuwu Bedander. Perform your duties and responsibilities well. Set the governance of Pakuwon Bedander's government as well as possible. Never break the rules. If until I hear you deviate from the rules, your fate will be the same as Madangkungan. Understand you?".
"Sindupati understands Gusti Panji, Sindupati will carry out this important task as well as possible" Sindupati said in his honor.
"Uncle Saketi, please,
Have Gumbreg arrange the supplies. Tomorrow morning we return to the Duchy of Seloageng".
"Sendiko dawuh Gusti Panji", Ki Saketi immediately retreated and headed towards the supply tent where Gumbreg and his 3 members stood guard.
"Gumbreg, prepare the supplies. Tomorrow morning we go back to Seloageng.
After giving the order, Ki Saketi left Gumbreg and his 3 subordinates.
"It's good to be a leader, just a command point here show there sort of things" Gumbreg grumbled.
"It's a risk to be subordinate to Kang, we are still lucky, even though the supply, but we are still part of this special forces Lo kang" said Weleng, a soldier from Pakuwon Pucang.
"Lucky what Leng? I'd rather bang the enemy with my heirloom club than take care of the kitchen and **** this whimper", Gumbreg continued to nag while continuing to gather travel supplies without looking back.
3 Gumbreg's subordinates turned pale, Panji Watugunung who happened to pass by checking the state of Gumbreg's tent as Gumbreg continued to issue his teats.
"The Gusti Panji Watugunung should understand, if we come here to fight instead of taking care of food".
"But the food manager is also important, without the food manager, the soldiers will not be strong at war", Watugunung who stood behind Gumbreg said casually.
Gumbreg who felt his talk was cut immediately turned his body.
"You must be...."
Gumbreg immediately turned pale looking at the smiling Watugunung Panji standing behind him.
"Ambun Gusti Panji pardon the servant...".
"I understand your grievances, but you must remember, a supply soldier is the most useful soldier. Garuda Panjalu troops will not be able to fight if there is no supply troops like you.
Understand what I mean", Panji Watugunung smiled.
Dewi Srimpi restrained her laughter by closing her mouth.
"Understanding Gusti Panji", Gumbreg trembled his body.
"Still wanting to move to the fight section?", asked Panji Watugunung seriously.
"No Gusti Panji no, in supplies only in supplies only", Gumbreg still trembling.
"Good, continue on. Remember tomorrow morning we go home to Seloageng", said Panji Watugunung as he stepped out of the tent.
Gumbreg, Weleng and his 2 comrades respect. When the Watugunung Panji was not visible, Gumbreg stepped on Weleng's foot.
"It hurts kang", cried Weleng whose big toe was like a stone crucifixion.
"You want to hurt me, right? Why didn't you tell me Gusti Panji was here? Glad you're I'm scared?", Gumbreg is upset at Weleng.
"Yes no kang, the wong had not given the code eh kakang ranting continuously. Fortunately Gusti Panji is a good person, if not already in the puff of your neck kang", Weleng scared Gumbreg.
Gumbreg shuddered in horror at the thought.
Patugunung Panji immediately headed to his bed. Sekar Mayang from earlier paced back and forth waiting for the arrival of Panji Watugunung. Dewi Srimpi who from earlier followed the steps saw Sekar Mayang already in front of the room door, bending his face.
'Why is the fierce concubine already there?', grumbled Dewi Srimpi in heart.
"Where's Kakang? Kog for a long time", asked Sekar Mayang while glancing at Dewi Srimpi who stepped open the room door.
"From the supply tent, seeing the preparation", replied Watugunung as he stepped into the room.
Dewi Srimpi justifies the blanket Panji Watugunung, arranging his pillow. When he finished, he stood beside the bed.
"Why is it still there? You want to sleep in Kakang Watugunung's bed too?", Sekar Mayang glared sharply at Dewi Srimpi.
"Dinda Mayang, why are you always so fierce to her? Even though he was just waiting for me to sleep and closed the door of the room" said Panji Watugunung up to the bed.
Dewi Srimpi cheered in her heart to hear the defense of Patugunung Panji.
Sekar Mayang went up to the bed.
Deggs..
The face of Dewi Srimpi paled hearing the words of Sekar Mayang.
"Remove all your bad thoughts Dinda, do not like to judge people at will", Panji Watugunung immediately turned to Dewi Srimpi and nodded. Dewi Srimpi immediately came out while closing the door of the room from outside.
"Have a good rest, sir".
Morning comes when the door is wide open. Dewi Srimpi brought a glass of warm drink, dry cloth and warm water mixed with betel leaves in a spoon.
The heart of Dewi Srimpi is hot, when you see the hand of Sekar Mayang coiled affectionately on the chest of Panji Watugunung.
Patugunung Panji woke up when the window of his room was opened by Dewi Srimpi.
"It's morning sir, time to prepare to go home to Seloageng".
Panji Watugunung immediately moved Sekar Mayang's hand and got off the bed.
The handsome young man immediately went to the small table and washed his face with warm water. Since Dewi Srimpi followed her, this is the new custom of Panji Watugunung.
"Dreami, have you done my clothes?".
"Already sir, just leave. The clothes for the master I have prepared, after the bath stay wear it".
Dewi Srimpi really spoils Panji Watugunung with all her attention.
Sekar Mayang woke up later and rushed to clean up.
After bathing, Panji Watugunung immediately came out of the room in the follow Goddess Srimpi.
Everyone is ready to go back to Seloageng. Patugunung Panji and his army moved west, towards Pakuwon Palah.
The new Akuwu Bedander, Sindupati ushered up the pakunwon palace archway.
Street dust flew following the footsteps of Garuda Panjalu's horse. Ludaka and Rajegwesi from Pakuwon Palah spearhead the journey. Followed by Ki Saketi and Jarasanda.
Watugunung Panji in the middle, flanked by two concubines Ratna Pitaloka and Sekar Mayang. Behind Dewi Srimpi, the faithful servant.
Gumbreg and his 3 companions followed behind him, followed by Marakeh and Rakai and 5 soldiers from the Seloageng duchy including Laras and Arimbi.
They moved quickly, by midday they had reached a large field near Siwatantra Palah.
The group of troops stopped to fill their stomachs. The women soldiers helped Gumbreg and his comrades in the supply section.
Ratna Pitaloka carried a pinch of teak leaves containing some food. Sekar Mayang brought some fresh fruits. While Dewi Srimpi brought a jug of drinking water. They approached the Watugunung Panji sitting under a lush mango tree.
They had lunch together cheerfully. Occasional jokes and small laughs adorned their faces.
When they finished, the group prepared to continue their journey. Patugunung banner immediately raised his right hand sign forward, and his army moved. But not until 100 of their spears left the place, an arrow shot quickly towards the Watugunung Panji.
Panji Watugunung who felt danger threatening, smashed his right hand towards the arrow from the right side.
Shuut....
Brakk!!!
The arrow was shattered.
The sound was loud enough to immediately stop the movement of Garuda Panjalu troops. They were surprised to hear the sound of crushed objects and immediately formed a circle of posse around the Watugunung Panji.
"Westerners, who would dare to attack our entourage? Come out, show me your form", Ki Saketi shouted furiously.
From the lush trees, 10 men appeared fully armed.
