The Arkana: The Demon Hunters

The Arkana: The Demon Hunters
Ratnakusuma Jogja

'Pamor' is a term that refers to a pattern or decoration found in traditional Javanese weapons, such as keris. While 'Knight' means soldier.

Pamor Ksatria Yogyakarta can be interpreted as a carved knight weapon that protects Yogyakarta. The weapon referred to here is the Arkanas who became light in quelling darkness. That is the slogan emblazoned on the gate of the headquarters of the Jogja branch demon hunter association, Ratnakusuma.

Currently Bowo has entered the gate Ratnakusuma and parked the motorbike. He was stunned to see the front of the building decorated with batik carvings on its wood, reflecting the motif of Javanese cultural wealth. This place also has a large yard with a neat garden and shady trees. At the front of the courtyard, before the entrance, there is a pond with statues depicting legendary figures from the history of Yogyakarta.

Wibowo looks like a clumsy person who hesitates, but because he has already arrived here, he also ventured to step into the headquarters of the West Java hunter association. After passing through the pond, Bowo opened a large door made of wood, for a moment he was silent to see the beauty of Ratnakusuma. This was the first time he had visited the association headquarters. The interior of the building features magnificent architecture and combines traditional Javanese elements with a refined modern touch.

The main lobby is decorated with beautiful carved ornaments and small sculptures depicting epic stories from Javanese mythology. Inside the building, there are rooms used for meetings, traditional art exhibitions, and other cultural events.

In addition to being the headquarters of the Arkana in Central Java, the Ratnakusuma building is also often used as a place to perform traditional arts such as wayang kulit, Javanese dance, and gamelan music for ordinary people. Ratnakusuma is a place where the culture of Yogyakarta continues to live and develop, becoming a place for people and visitors to experience the magic of Javanese art and cultural wealth that has been passed down from generation to generation.

"Have breakfast, Wo?" santi asked who had apparently been waiting in the lobby.

Bowo looked towards him. "Later on, mbak. Come home from here."

"Let's relax, eat yuk first."

Bowo walks Santi to a fairly large cafeteria. There are several sellers who serve various types of food.

"Pesen aja, Wo. Later say the same that sells, Santi who pays," said Santi.

"Duh, so good" Bowo replied.

"For a long time kayak Mahari you, Wo. Once there, anyway if you mbak play to Tantra also often given breakfast."

Bowo chuckles. He walked over to one of the sellers and bought some rice. After that he returned to the table where Santi was waiting.

"Thank you, ma'am," said Bowo.

"Either. Uh, Wo, you told Mahari about this, right?"

"Well, why would you?"

"It looks like Mahari forbid you to join the association deh. Really no?"

"Yes, but that was before. Now it's different. Who the hell is he after us?"

Santi shakes. "That's weird, she's your boss, Wo."

"The point is there's no problem if I join. After all, this place is not a gathering place for bad people, right?"

"Yes, if you want to join the association wait here for a while while eating, yes. I'm gonna take the form first." Santi walked away leaving Bowo alone at the table.

Bowo sat alone at a fairly quiet table in the corner of the canteen. He looked around, watching some people who were also eating there.

"A!" Bowo stood up and pointed to a man whose face he recognized with his left hand.

The man also looked at Bowo as he squinted. However, he just kept silent and observed the bald man who was pointing at him.

"Yesterday he who nolongin me, mbak."

Bima suddenly stood up. He approached Bowo and Santi who were sitting together. The man looked at Bowo's right hand.

"Your hand should not be healed yet" said Bima.

Bowo is a bangor man. He removed the cast in his hand this morning because he had difficulty moving. Now the bald man moves the fingers of his right hand in front of Bima as if it has healed completely.

"Relax, it's healing, Mom," said Bowo smiling. He put his right hand on the table.

Bima suddenly raised his legs high and quickly jumped up to hit Bowo's hand on the table.

What Bima did made everyone in the cafeteria sweat. Santi was not expecting it and reflexes rose to stop the man, but did not get around.

The leg floated just inches above Bowo's trembling right hand. Bima looked at Bowo's scared face.

"Too confident to hold my kick or too sick to move?" ask Bima.

Wibowo. He could only remain silent without an answer. After all, he knew that the man who was testing him did not need an answer to a question that already knew the answer.

"Forcing yourself in battle is necessary, but imposing yourself in times of recovery is foolish. Had Dursasana appeared again three days from now, would you be prepared to deal with it with your current condition? Your rash actions will only slow your own recovery" Bima said.

Bima lowered her legs back and lowered her head as an apology to Santi for his actions. Santi was only able to sigh because he understood the nature and behavior of Bima.

"Bim, this kid wants to join us. Don't be afraid" said Santi.

Bima frowned. "The standard of association is increasingly decreasing day by day" said Bima. Now he sits next to Santi, facing Bowo. "Where's your strongest hand?"

Bowo glanced towards his right hand which was still far from being healed. Looking at the direction of Bowo's view, Bima placed the elbow of her left hand on the table. "Go here." He challenged Bowo to a panco.

Bowo looked at Santi, and Santi just smiled at him. "Suppose this is an entrance exam. If you win, you will join under Captain Bima Harimukti" said Santi.

"So where's your strongest hand?" bima asked again with a sharp eye.

Bowo gave me his left hand. "My strongest hand is resting. Until he recovers, this left hand will fight."

"Wrong." Bima still stared at him sharply. "There is nothing between the right and the left, for they are both the strongest."

As soon as their hands touched, a great pressure felt Wibowo as if there was a huge rock on his shoulders. 'What the fuck is this guy?'

"Wo, Bima is Ambidextrous. From the first he mengebiasain both hands until there is no dominance between one of them and has a relatively balanced strength," said Santi. "What is your fate?"

Bowo did not reply to Santi's words. His gaze was only focused on his own hands and Bima who would soon do a panco fight.

Seeing Bowo's serious facial expression, Santi placed his palms on the man's hands like a referee, then lifted him up. "Start!"
