Chapter 45 Searching for evidence

The Reese mansion..

Ethan reprimands Felix, Daisy, Layla and all the guards of Reese's residence.

" No one knows where my sister went? are you just a display??!!" ethan shouted furiously

All of the guards at Reese's residence looked terrified as Ethan got angry. They apologized and immediately searched for Arabella.

" Unexpectedly behind his attitude outside of being relaxed and indifferent, Mr. Ethan could show this kind of anger. He must have loved Arrabella "inner Dominic very much

" Daisy, Layla, actually why did she get lost?" ask Ethan dizzy

" Just like the lady who went by herself, she told us not to disturb her. He locked the door to his room" Daisy explained

" When did he lock the door to his room?" ask Ethan

" When she finds out that she will be betrothed to Mr. Ashton" Daisy replied

" Is that why he ran away ?" ethan's mind guessed

" In matchmaking? what does that mean?" ask Dominic in shock

" What is this drama? geez, miss Arabella you're really making the men dizzy" Cane said

" Maybe it's best that your majesty knows all this, sorry I just said it now, my father and I are already planning to marry Arabella and Mr Ashton Benedict" Ethan said

" WHAT??" Dominic looks very shocked and angry when he finds out all that

" So, the problem is master duke? but why is he insisting like this ? does he really dislike having his daughter with the royal members?" dominic's mind is upset

Ashton held Arabella's hand tightly and brought the girl closer to him.

" It's because I want to have another relationship with you" Ashton replied looking embarrassed

" another relationship? whatisit? " ask Arabella

Ashton could no longer hold back his feelings, to say everything to the girl. Because he had already prepared himself for the worst possibility that the girl would reject him. But, he just wanted the girl to know that Ashton liked her as a girl instead of as a sister, at least Arrabella should know her feelings and consider her that's what she thought. It flashed in the man's memory of their time together and Ashton was not yet aware of his feelings.

Arrabella when she was a child she was so stubborn, grumpy, and spoiled. At that time Ashton always accompanied his play because all his friends stayed away from him because of his arrogant and hot-tempered nature. Only Ashton and Felix faithfully accompany his play and understand Arrabella's stubborn demeanor. Even so, Ashton and Felix remained patient against the stubborn little girl. Now, the girl is a teenager, her spoiled and angry attitude may still be there, but her attitude into adulthood, in addition to a beautiful face it became her attraction as a woman.

" why is Ashton daydreaming like that?" inner Arabella wonder

" Brother Ashton!"

The girl called Ashton's name many times, but the man was drowning in his daydream. Until he finally regained consciousness when Arabella pinched his hand.

" A sick Aw !" said Ashton while holding his hand that was pinched Arabella

" Brother why? I was asking and you were daydreaming ?" ask plain Arrabella

" I don't think this little girl who always played with me and grew up with me has become a girl who captivates men and can make men crazy. Why am I just realizing it now? " inner Ashton while looking at the girl's face with a smile

" Wait a minute, don't go anywhere" Ashton said softly

Ashton knelt down in front of the sitting Arabella, and gave her the girl's favorite purple rose.

" sister.. What does all this mean?" ask Arabella

" I like you Abel." said Ashton

" Sister Ashton.."

" That's why I said I don't want to be your sister anymore, I wish we had more of a relationship than that" Ashton deg degan said

Arabella was stunned to not believe what she heard from the man who was kneeling and expressed love for her.

" What is this? doesn't brother like the crown princess? why do you like me?" Arabella amazement

" I told you I don't like her anymore, I'm seriously Abel. I like you as a woman "Ashton stared deeply into Arabella's face looking confused.

" Why did Ashton become like this? she like me? but.. why?" inner Arabella shocked

" I've guessed she'll be surprised like this, it's okay that I've prepared myself for everything "inner Ashton is sad

" When have you had these feelings for me, right?" ask Arabella

" From our trip to the Vanders" Ashton replied

" Is it possible that you misunderstood your feelings? I've been like your own sister, how could .." Arabella is confused

" Please don't be burdened by what I say or how I feel, I know you'll be surprised. I'm not gonna ask you to return my feelings, but I just want you to know how I feel and at least you'll consider me." Ashton said, hoping

" I like other people sister, so sorry I can't consider you" Arabella said firmly

Arabella is caught off guard by Ashton's knowledge of her relationship with Prince Aiden.

" You like her, don't you? I can't force you to reciprocate my feelings, but I'm just asking you to consider my feelings. Didn't both of our parents match us?" ask Ashton

" Sister Ashton I can't make you hope by considering you. Because I only love Prince Aiden ! you've been like my own brother, how can we be in a relationship more than that !" arabella refused firmly

" Sorry Brother Ashton" inner Arabella felt guilty

" I was eventually rejected, without any consideration, and given the opportunity "inner Ashton was heartbroken

" Abel ! Abel wake up ! you why?" ashton asked frantically as he shook the girl's body

" Who is that guy? why did he attack Arabella? Is he from a human trafficking kidnapper? impossible, from his rapid movements he seemed to have trained "inner Ashton thought wrong

The Collete mansion..

" How? did you make it ?" ask Count Oscar

" I'm sorry Mr. Count, there's Kstaria Ashton there. I can't take it " replied the mysterious man

" you should just take him away or kill him, you're hampering my plans! all right, it's okay let's look for another opportunity" Count Oscar said

" You can still breathe this time, but there's no next time. How dare you go investigate about me and the Queen, if I don't come to the bar of the secret information center, I wouldn't know if that girl knew much about me and the queen and maybe she knew about Miss Canaria. But what I still don't understand, is why does he know the bar where the secret information center is? Strangely enough, he was like a reborn person, because he knew such a hidden place easily" Oscar said in his heart feeling suspicious

Ashton holds Arrabella, not far from Reese's residence, Dominic and Cane are there. They immediately approached Ashton who was sweating, and frantically looked at Arabella who was also unconscious.

" Mister Ashton, you're hurt !" exclaims Cane

" Quickly call the doctor, to check his state !" ashton was panicking

Moments later in Arabella's room, Doctors Louis, Dominic, Ashton and Ethan are there. Arrabella is still lying unconscious.

" How's Doctor Louis doing?" ask Ethan worriedly

" I've checked in its entirety, she just fainted from the dope. Maybe the dose of the drug was quite a lot, so he had not been conscious. But, young master Ethan need not worry that Miss Abel will be fine" explained Doctor Louis

" Thank God Abel (Arrabella ) just fainted "inner Ashton and Dominic relieved

" Ashton explain what happened?" ask Ethan sharply

" Mister Ethan, wait a minute! Before we listen to his explanation, Mr. Ashton's hands should be treated" Dominic said, looking at Ashton's bloodied right hand being scratched by the sword

Louis's doctor treated the wound on Ashton's hand and bandaged it with a bandage. After that he went home and was delivered by Felix.

Ashton tells what happened in the city park, about Arrabella's assault by someone he didn't know and was about to kidnap her, and Ashton saves her in time.

" You know the character of that man? her face do you know?" ask Dominic enthusiastically

" Nobody is noble, because he covered his face with a black cloth and his clothes were also dark in color. But I'm sure the man who kidnapped Arabella wasn't just him. I saw on the roof that there were some people who were dressed the same as him looking were waiting for his "light Ashton with a sharp look

" But who wants to hurt Abel to kidnap him?" ethan muttered

" I remember, last night when I was with Ashton's brother someone smothered my mouth with a cloth and I don't remember anything else. Why am I here, huh? did Ashton bring me? " ask Arabella confused

Arabella sees Ethan sleeping next to her.

" Sister ? since when is he here?" arabella's murmur is slow

" Hoam.." Ethan's yawning

Ethan awakens to hear his sister's voice. Ethan looks relieved and hugs his sister with anxiety.

" Sister..why brother?" ask Arabella confused

" Bad boy ! you finally woke up too, where did you go yesterday? everyone's looking for you, do you know how anxious I am?" ethan asked with teary eyes

" Sister.I'm sorry yesterday I went out to get some fresh air "Arabella sorry.

" I can't tell my sister what's really going on" Arabella said in her heart

Yesterday afternoon, Arabella went out of her mansion through the window of her room without the knowledge of her two loyal servants and Felix.

" Phew, I finally came out too, I will breathe fresh air first and walk a little, said Arabella relieved

Arabella walks into the city park and she sees a suspicious man similar to Count Oscar walking into a small alley.

" That's like Count Oscar? what would he want to go to a secluded place like that?" ask Arabella suspiciously

The girl followed Count Oscar silently, but the man disappeared from her sight.

" Where did he go? I'm sure he was here!" arabella said upset herself

" because I've arrived here, I'll all look for evidence of the queen's and Count Oscar's conspiracy. But where am I looking for her?" arabella's inner thought

The girl was suddenly pensive and remembered her past.

I remember now, there used to be one place that was a hub of secret information and there we could get any classified information. When Eugene was king, I was once invited to the place to prove that my father and I were plotting a rebellion against Clarines as well as proof that I could use magic, I can't do magic ! Yep.. If it's not wrong that place is a bar in a small alley.. Yes, I have to look for it, what good is it for me to be reborn if I cannot do something useful. However this relates to the death of Prince Aiden's mother, I will look for evidence of her and reveal this with the knowledge I knew in the past.

Arrabella remembers the Bar where the secret information was and disguises herself as a commoner in order to enter the Bar. Some men looked at her with suspicious looks.

" Am I too flashy? or was I found out? If I could teleport like that psychopath King, it would be great. But unfortunately, I don't have magic. I've come here, and at least I have to get something "inner Arrabella fretted with the stout gazes of those burly men sitting at the table and drinking.

The girl ventured to the tender bar in the bar and offered her some gold.

" Are you Mr Kei ?" asked Arrabella sharply

" a young girl dares to come to this bar and like her she's alone? who's she?" inner Kei was suspicious

Without saying much more, the girl took out a bag of 5 gold bars and showed it to Kei, the bartender.

Unknowingly one of the men looked at him sharply and saw him come out of that secret Bar.

Daisy and Layla prepare breakfast for Arabella, the girl apparently still feels unwell because she was sedated yesterday. Arrabella's second-guessing the man who harmed her may have been Count Oscar.

" Miss, please eat " said Layla while keeping a tray of bread, a glass of milk, and her favorite chocolate cake on the table

" We panicked and were terrified when we saw Miss passing out. Thank goodness miss is fine" Daisy said in relief

" Yes, I'm sorry to make you anxious about leaving without saying "the word Arabella feels guilty

" Mister Ethan was very angry and panicked when he found out that the lady had disappeared, he scolded all the servants, guards, even mister Felix too" Daisy said in pity
