The Beginning of the Marriage

The Beginning of the Marriage
Chapter 16

Eight o'clock at night when Zia just got out of the restaurant. But as soon as his feet were about to step towards the stop, the rain suddenly descended heavily. Zia couldn't go back inside because one of the officers holding the key to the restaurant had to rest. If Zia goes back inside, then the officer will not rest before Zia comes home.

The woman finally prefers to walk to the left of the front of the restaurant which has a wider terrace and she stands there waiting for the rain to subside sometime. But he thought if the rain is very heavy, usually the duration of the rain will be short. He's trying to think it's okay for now.

The string in the pocket of the pants felt vibrating. Zia reached into her pocket to reach for the phone and saw the name of Zio who gave her a short message.

Zio :

You still at the resto? Are you all right?

Zia exhaled slowly. He had promised himself not to bother Zio or worry him. After all, it seems that Zio will also not take the initiative to pick him up. So the battery is still 1%, finally he tried to reply with the sentence as it is.

Zia :

All right, you don't have to worry.

After that Zia's device immediately died. The woman clucked, then put it in the bag. Time continued to move, but up to fifteen minutes of rain had not yet shown any signs of the dampness. The falling water is still as swift as from the beginning, the thunderbolt is unpretentious, while the occasional lightning gives light.

“Yes Lord, may it subside soon. I really want to go home. Where no taxi passes,” Og Zia. He who originally intended to take the bus, changed his mind to take a taxi. But the vehicle did not cross until it made him cluck several times. “I'll be home at what time if it's like this? I also need rest, it feels very tired,” he added. The woman crouched down while looking at the rain that was still falling.

“If I had a private vehicle, I wouldn't be this difficult,” lamented.

Zia never asked Zio to buy her a car or a motorcycle even though she believed that her husband would buy her anything she wanted if she had said so. But Zia did not want to buy a vehicle with money owned by others, the husband who he considered as a friend was better never to come into contact with Zia's interests though. He thought that he would buy a vehicle when the money was enough.

The woman glanced at her watch as the passing vehicle had begun to be empty. Starting at nine. Zia was frustrated. The woman stood up, then began to go back and forth like a walking iron. What if this rain keeps it up till night? Zia was afraid that she would really not be able to go home. Wanting to ask one of the employees to take her home, Zia was afraid to make them bother.

“Yes God, how should I? Please, I want to go home. I don't want to be stuck any longer,” softly with a tone that sounds desperate.

Feeling the cold sweat begin to pour on his body, his body began to tremble. Zia was afraid to imagine that she would be here until the night she was here. What's he supposed to do? There were a lot of bad guys and he was afraid that one of them would make him an easy target.

Instantly both of Zia's eyes narrowed as soon as she found a car approaching her direction. The lights were so glare that Zia had to cover them with her arms. Then the lights went off when the car had completely stopped right in front of Zia. The woman frowned, rewinding her steps feeling fear.

Zia knew very well that the red car still looked foreign. It wasn't Zio's car so he didn't know anyone who was driving it. The next second the window opened and displayed the face of a man whom Zia was quite familiar with.

“You haven't come home yet? Who else is waiting for?” ask her with a voice that is deliberately hardened in order to beat the noisy rain between them.

Zia became familiar with her voice. The man was Mada who always asked the manager to call Zia forward. Mada is Zio's friend. Yes, now Zia understood. That guy is a very nice guy. Zia approaching. “I was still waiting to subside so I could get to the stop. But until now it has not subsided either, so still waiting for a taxi,” replied honestly.

“All right, I'll take you home later,” he replied.

Zia did not agree to it. If the man drove her home, Zia was afraid that the secret between Zia and Zio would be exposed. The two of them had covered up the marriage of everyone including Zio's close friends, so Mada could not find out where Zia lived. “Eh, but my home is far,” said Zia. To be honest he was confused, on the one hand wanted to accept Mada's offer, but on the other hand he had to reject it so that the damn secret was not revealed.

“It's okay, just go up, anyway I'm not in a hurry. When do you want to wait here? What if the rain doesn't stop? Better get in, I'll take you home. Don't suspect me, I won't hurt a woman like you.” This time Mada's voice was rather pushy.

Hearing the thunderous lightning once again, Zia reflexively opened Mada's car door and went straight into it. When the door closed, the woman glanced at Mada. “Sorry to trouble you. I really don't know how to go home,” Zia said nervously.

“It's okay. Well, now where is your home?” ask Mada again.

“You can take a straight path from here, then turn right at the first crossroad. Then take the left and my house is not far from housing,” replied Zia.

“Means your house is not far from Zio's house, huh? You see Zio's house is in the housing,” Mada said while moving his car to Zia's residence at a fairly fast pace.

Zia nodded small. “Iya, not far,” he replied.

He feels guilty for Mada because Zia still tells many lies even though Mada has helped him sincerely. But he also had no other choice. Zio would be furious at him if Zia were to uncover this secret.

“By the way you come home from work every night?” tanya Zia shifted the topic.

“Not really, anyway. There was some urgent work I had to do. I had dinner in the cafeteria and rested there. At half-nine, I decided to go home. It just so happens that I always pass by here because it was faster and I accidentally saw you. At first I didn't realize, I thought it was just a random woman caught in the rain, I intended to help her get home. But the closer I got, the more I knew who the woman was and it was you,” Mada replied with a complaint.

Zia smiled, she felt quite calm being here.
