Chapter Snippet:
Nirmala Binar Candramaya, a twenty-year-old girl who has to live a hard life every day. Since his father died, he lived with his mother and two half-siblings in one of the Gianyar settlements in Bali.
Binar is someone who looks beautiful, with the ideal body posture typical of Indonesian girls. After he graduated High School, he did not continue his education to a higher level. Economic factors are the main reason, and make Binar even have to be willing to work hard bones. In fact, he is one of the outstanding students in his school. Binar is proficient in mathematics and is also fluent in English.
That day, the atmosphere at the souvenir shop where he worked happened to be crowded with visitors. The owner decided to open the store for longer, which is until nine pm. The time frame of Binar increased by an hour. Tired, of course. The girl with a posture of 168 cm wants to go home and rest. Moreover, in his bag now has been filled with payday money that he will soon give to his mother and sister who have been waiting for him at home.
As usual, that night Binar came home on foot. He often does so in order to reduce spending. After all, the distance between the shop and his house was indeed not too far away.
However, this time there was something different on the road that he used to pass. Binar was stunned and felt disturbed, more precisely was afraid. A few steps before him in the dimness of the night atmosphere, there appeared a well-built man who was walking while stumbling. The white shirt worn by the man has been torn in parts. There also looks a lot of blood stains. Apparently, the man was either an accident victim or possibly a crime victim.
Binar was stunned with a fixed gaze fixed forward. The man occasionally seems to move his hands. Doubtful and afraid to approach. However, curiosity and compassion began to stir his heart. Slowly, Binar stepped forward. He lowered his body near the man. From her stature and physical features, the girl was convinced that the man was a foreign citizen.
“Are you alright, Sir?” ask her doubtfully.
The man tried to raise his face. He then nodded slowly.
I don't know which courage comes from just like that in Binar. He grabbed the body with a posture that was much bigger than him. “Effort to get up, Sir,” he said as he tried to help the man get up. As much as possible, the man obeyed Binar's words. Although he looks so weak, but eventually the man can force himself to stand up. “I will take you to the nearest hospital,” Binar said again while packing the man to the edge of the highway. “You are still strong to walk?” ask the girl. “Distance to the nearest hospital is only a few meters from here,”.
The man who seemed to be a foreign citizen earlier nodded weakly. He seemed to force himself to step on foot, although sometimes stung because of the posture of the Binar who was too small and unable to hold the weight of his high body. However, the two continued to walk down the sidewalk, until they finally arrived in front of the hospital they were headed to.
Arriving there, several guards immediately helped Binar. They laid the injured man on top of the gurney, then immediately led him towards the action room. “You ready patient?” ask one of the medics who helped.
“I ... um .. I ...” has not had time Binar replied, the medical colleague had called him.
“We will take action immediately, if you already know who will be the person in charge,” explained the officer.
Hearing that, Binar seemed to have no other choice. Inevitably, because he who has brought the man earlier then he is the one who must be the person in charge. “I, I will be the one in charge, Sus. I am a close relative of the patient,” replied the girl steadily.
“Close relative or ...” medics did not continue his speech. He seemed to frown because he was surprised, because the man that Binar brought was a foreign citizen.
“Iya, right. I ... I am the wife of the patient,” replied Binar trying to look reassuring in front of the medical officer.
