The Choice of Old Man
Uneasily

The video of Alex's confession appalled the netizens. The post continues to be showered with malicious comments. In fact, his father Leon also commented. His parents no longer wanted to consider him their son, the man had already been given one chance to improve his behavior. But the truth is, it's still the same as before.

Netizens who had accused Hoodie—Keenan, finally apologized and regretted having made malicious comments. Some netizens are still hesitant to trust Hoodie.

Television showed a press release at the police station. A crowd of journalists jostled over to Leonardo who got out of the car. The two arms of the man were held by Hoodie and Regan. They stood in front of the entrance of the police station, facing the reporters.

A flash of camera light shot towards Leon. Unknowingly, the man held up his middle finger while sticking out his tongue. Keenan pinched Leon's arm so as not to act in front of the camera.

"Is the confession true?" ask one of the reporters to point at Leon. The man just nodded lazily. Then, the reporter turned to look at Hoodie. "Please give your response, we need clarity."

"No, I'm not a suspect in this case. It's just a rumor. So, please don't be trusted." Keenan was honest.

Regan showed a bag of transparent plastic containing matches and knives. The man also found 5 bottles measuring 1500 milliliters of kerosene. Police officers declared Hoodie—Keenan innocent.

"But why is it that as long as the news spreads, you disappear instead?"

Alexa raises the volume of her television voice. He slipped his hair behind his ears, waiting for the man to answer the journalist's question. The screen displayed Keenan who was speechless when questioned so. "No comment." she replied lightly.

"Leonardo? So, that son of a bitch killed Wilda?!"

"Oh my gosh!" Alexa retreated to the back of the sofa holding her chest, almost falling down. "Minimum don't get people!"

Ilona looks to have been sitting leaning on the head of the sofa since. The girl stared at the television screen that aired a press release at the police station. Ilona gave a cold snort staring at Leon's face, he snatched the remote in Alexa's hands and turned off the television.

"Lo sure you don't want to teach the same lesson as a child?" asked Ilona, her breathing sounded roaring.

"What's the point of trying? After all, Wilda's body has been found. The perpetrator was also arrested."

"Yes, yeah. But he's cruel to our best friend."

"Lo don't have to worry. I'm gonna have to take him to court." Alexa links both eyebrows while thinking. "The punishment of a lifetime is enough, right? Or ... Death sentence?"

"The death sentence is more appropriate."

For a moment, Ilona realized something. He stood up to bring his eyes to and fro. Ilona looked up at the large picture frame attached to the wall above the head of the sofa. Wedding photos of Alexa and Keenan. The girl sat Ilona down on the sofa, before explaining about her marriage which had been kept secret.

"Not that I don't want to say the same lo, but I'm looking for the right timing." explained Alexa reasoned.

Ilona took a deep breath. "Understand, okay, understand. The reason is because I'm afraid I like it, right, same man?"

"Where is! That's why I'm being fooled!"

"Well?!" Ilona was quite surprised until her mouth gaped. "Yes ... No wonder, anyway."

As Ilona thought, her best friend must have been forced to marry. How could an Alexandra Wijaya willingly marry. If Ilona was in Alexa's position, the girl had already escaped before the marriage contract began. On the other hand, Ilona understood the state of her best friend who could not resist.

"Where?" ask Ilona. His eyes flickered asking for the girl's answer.

Alexa frowned. "Where's what?"

"Have you filled in yet?"

Alexa grabs Regan's jeans under the table, then lands them on Ilona's face. "Wash it! Put on a hand, he said."

"Huh? Sayaiap—" Ilona stopped talking. He spread the jeans and sniffed them. Suddenly, her smile widened as the scent of Regan's perfume burst into her nostrils. "Lex, whose jacket is this? Aaa ... Fragrant!"

"Even if I tell you, you won't want to."

"Mending lo shower keep getting ready."

"Where?"

The girl looked down. "Wilda's funeral."

Sunlight shone on the entire tomb lined with fine grass and a few sprinkles of flowers. Belinda and Farhan, sitting next to the grave of Wilda Evina, their daughter. A happy cry rose on the faces of the couple, seeing Wilda return even though she was no longer alive. Most of the students of Pradita Dirgantara High School came to visit the girl.

"Wilda, now you're sleeping quietly huh, son? Mami hopes that one day we can gather again like before" said Belinda. The woman sprinkled flowers on her daughter's grave.

Alexa and Ilona alternately sprinkle the petals of Wilda's favorite roses. Her eyes were constantly soaked in tears. However, everyone could not see it as it was blocked by sunglasses. They embraced Belinda, encouraging her to let Wilda go.

"Son Lexa, son Ilona, thank you for being such a good friend to Wilda. I'm sorry if Auntie's son is wrong with you."

"I'm the same Alexa sorry Wilda, Tan. Patient aunt, huh? Wilda must also have seen her mom here." Ilona tried to smile even though her voice was almost as pleasant as it was.

"I'm sure, Auntie the same Om can pass all this." Alexa said.

Farhan grabbed both hands of Alexa. "Send our thanks to the hero."

"I? Why should I?"

"Your color is often rumored to be close to him."

Alexa smiled and responded. After a few minutes, everyone who was there was also condolences for the departure of Wilda to Belinda and Farhan. Alexa and Ilona say goodbye to Wilda. Afterwards, they split up in front of the TPU.

The girl did not go straight home but stopped by Indomaret, which is on the edge of the highway. Alexa puts two Bluetooth earphones in both ear holes. Alexa opens the car door. Sayup-sayup, there was the sound of someone yelling at him.

"Neng, watch out!"

"After you are a car!"

Alexa is getting caught up. He took off one earphone. "What the hell, anyway?"

BRAAKKK!

One pair of white round objects was bounced into the middle of the street along with his cellphone. There was a little splash of blood on his screen. Blood started pouring down on the asphalt. His head was throbbing hard, feeling like he was hit by a blunt object. His gaze became blurred, the shadow of the citizens running around suddenly split in two.

The black sedan car that hit Alexa drove away irresponsibly. One of the residents lifted the girl's body into a car and took her to a nearby hospital.

While at the police station. Keenan was still busy flipping through some sheets of paper on his book board, examining the report Dimas had recorded regarding Leon's confession. Every now and then, he turns on the phone, waiting for a call from Alexa.

Keenan stood up, the back of his hand accidentally nudging the glass glass filled with white water. Then, look at the old broken glass that fell on the floor. Keenan tried to take a deep breath, then threw it away through the mouth.

"Why, huh? Did something happen to Alexa?" Keenan tried to call Alexa's contact number. There's no answer. His feelings are getting more and more unsettled. Before long, the phone was vibrating, there was a call back from Alexa.

Keenan smiled as he looked at Alexa's name on the phone screen. He immediately picked up the phone. "Lexa, you're okay, right?!"

"I'm sorry, Mas, hpnya is in me. He was hit by a car. Now it's taken to the hospital."

Keenan's smile faded, his shoulders drooping. When his hands clasped the phone, everything went numb.
