“Why did you call me, Luvria?” Raven frowned
Looking at a long haired woman. Her face had a slight frown which signified that she was actually an aged woman. It was just that, even though she was an aged woman, her face did not leave such a beautiful impression as that of a queen.
Luvria with a slight indolence, she said. “You know about the existence of the figure of Shadow Hunter? He even nearly killed my entire group assigned to kidnap children.”
“Shadow Hunter yes. Is it possible that many of my subordinates are missing due to Shadow Hunter?” Raven asked again. Either to himself or to the two in front of him.
“Is this the child named Leo? We know after two months ago, I was almost defeated by her even though my level was higher than her.”
“You're still a grudge with Leo, Guy Blackwell?” Raven glanced at Guy.
“Damn it! You told me to flatten Little Pear. But you almost killed me because of Leo. He really is a kid who cannot be underestimated!” Guy gave a comment.
“Leodric Frosch Yes. Yes, he is a famous figure in Little Pear city these days. However, didn't you guys think that it was very interesting when the boy joined the Stealth Brigade?” Luvria.
Luvria's statement slightly surprised Raven. Especially Guy who also gave a startled impression when he heard the crazy idea of a Luvria. So, Guy himself immediately raised his voice.
“Hey, don't be stupid! Didn't I just speculate that Leo is the Shadow Hunter you're referring to? Then why do you seem to want to recruit the boy to the Stealth Brigade!”
“You're right, it's just not right. I have no right to add or remove anyone. The one with the authority is Lord Harold. Even he also allowed you to use force right?” Luvria replied to Guy while brewing tea on a table.
“Guy, how do you view this organization? do you think we're a murderer? emm is not wrong, it's just that we need a freedom to do something. What Leo does is something vigilante, as if he has a grudge with whose name is a criminal or a murderer.” Raven also supported the remarks from Luvria. “If Leo continues to do such things, public confidence in government agencies will decrease, therefore Leo will not rule out the possibility of being considered a rebel because of unilateral action.”
“How can it happen?”
“Politics, like that. Didn't you hear me?” Raven poured him a cup of tea before he sipped it and continued his words. “If Shadow Hunter continues to exist and kill murderers and criminals, the public trust that previously existed in the government agencies of the kingdom, duke, or city, or city, it is declining because it is considered incompetent to take care of what is called a criminal and killer. Instead, the public will adore the Shadow Hunter.”
“If it continues to be left, the noble side will not stay silent and strive to get rid of the Shadow Hunter that has taken the trust of the people. I don't know what the royals will do, such as false accusations, a slander and other defamation on the grounds of unilateral action.” Luvria added what Raven said.
“And what I told you to do to flatten Little Pear with the ability of a mastery entity, it was just a diversion. More precisely I wanted to see how Leo fought after I heard that Leo lived in the Esves forest. And as we can see, he can't be underestimated right?” Raven.
Raven admitted like that and was dishonest early on, it was because she knew that Guy would be wise to accept a request from her. How not? by bringing in hundreds of goblins, Guy would feel extremely stupid when he had to exert that much for just one person.
So, in order for there to be a heated fight, Raven gives Guy a statement that this is to flatten the city. Because Raven knew that leveling the city with goblins was such a point. Although he had previously known that Guy had refused to raze the city, Raven believed that this must not be as difficult as telling Guy to fight Leo by using hundreds of goblins.
Hearing that Raven admitted that the goal was not to flatten the city, but to test Leo's ability, it made Guy angry at these moments. Merely, he just remembered and realized that this was much better than leveling the city.
“I think you will resist hard.” Answer Raven.
“Actually it is better than leveling the city.”
“Ah, so just a misunderstanding. Okay, I'm sorry Guy.”
However, right then and there, a rumbling sound actually appeared. Those who had previously been inside a room with hard walls, were instantly shattered when a red-colored monster that was none other than Hellfire attempted to enter.
Only, his position immediately collapsed and ran out of mana after last night he fought and now returned in the morning. Fortunately, he was on his way to this place, he had fainted and not a single person had seen him. Because his position is so deep.
Seeing this, Luvria reached into his pocket, revealing a red magical stone that was then placed on Hellfire's forehead.
The Binding Chain, or artifact, instantly pulled out a chain that then tightly bound the Hellfire's body. Even the size is getting smaller along with the chain that continues to bind.
The monster shrinks, but it will only stick to the human body, before turning into a woman with a half-naked body and chains tied. His face looks so pale with a terrible body, let alone his legs and hands that seemed to undergo a regeneration process so long that it produced a tiny body part.
Slowly, the woman woke up. Luvria pulled out the Binding Chain and released the chains used to seal back the woman's mutant spirit. Then, curiously, Luvria asked.
“What happened to you, Lyra?”
“I almost killed miss. He's really very strong. It started when I received a quest from someone to level the village of Caprae. It's just, a white-haired man came and almost killed me.”
“Leodric?” Guy was curious. White hair, very strong? Who else if not Leo? Guy was absolutely 1000% sure that it was Leo.
“It seems, even my number 3 object has to be battered? We cannot underestimate it easily. On the other hand, he is strong and I want to recruit him, only, his status as a Shadow Hunter, makes us get rid of because the target is a criminal group, criminals, murderers like us. What should we do?” Luvria asked the others.
“Lyra, who is the client or the person who paid you? We're gonna use him. First of all, if this plan fails we will try to attract Leo to this group because I am also interested in him. On the other hand, if this works, then we will get rid of it as a main goal.” Raven raised her hand and smiled slightly.
“Eh, sir, it was a coincidence. That person actually confessed that previously did have problems with the former chief soldier or my client.” Lyra said with such a pitiful face.
Hearing that, Raven smiled with a grin.
