S2 Chapter 27. Afraid and Nervous
"Darling, it seems like I can't go," nervous Lucy, had been sitting unsettled and her hands even sweating.
"Why? Are you scared? Take it easy my father doesn't bite." Daren tries to make her lover feel relaxed. "Don't be afraid, I won't let go of your hand even if the old man tells me to." Daren clasped Lucy's cold hand, rubbing it gently with her thumb.
Lucy curled her lips, her feeling was indeed much calmer as Daren's hand held her. Although there was still fear in his heart. The shadow is so bad, what if his father Daren throws money or checks on him so that Lucy wants to leave Daren. Or threatened him to harm his family, at such a time what he would choose. It is difficult not, if only money of course he will refuse but if threatening the life of his son and mother with a heavy heart maybe he will choose to leave Daren.

Daren's car starts to drive away from the basement of the apartment that Mia and her family live in. Tonight they'll meet Uncle Sam at one of the restaurants. The old man asked them to meet. Lucy of course was very nervous, her legs were shaking while her hands were slow to hold the tip of her dress and rem-mas her. Fortunately Daren realized that and immediately pulled one of Lucy's hands and held it like he had promised.
