Ahh what is this? The voices of people echoed in my brain, but all around me was darkness.

Somehow it feels very calm.Peace is also like being enveloped this place.

"Gerald..."

The voices of someone who was calling me were getting louder and louder.

Slowly I opened my eyes.It felt so heavy, that I wanted both of my eyes to keep them closed.

"Gerald!"

This time the voice sounded very loud, right in front of me.Both of my eyes caught the figure of Lilia who was in front of me with her right hand raised, like wanting to hit me.

"Mother! Gerald's up!" lilia shouted to the mother who was out of nowhere.

Both of my cheeks were quite sore and hot.What Lilia did to me when I was unconscious.

Suddenly the sound of the door slamming.Lilia looks quite surprised by the sound of the door opening suddenly.

I turned my gaze to the mother who was seen panting at the door of the room.Seems like mother ran towards the room where I was.

"Gerald! Are you all right? No one is sick?" ask mom in panic.

"I'm fine ma'am, it's just that both of my cheeks are a little sore" I replied as I gave a sharp look towards Lilia.

Lilia turned her face away.His face was really like not feeling guilty at all.

I guess before I woke up Lilia slapped both my cheeks to wake me up.Meanwhile, I just smiled to see Lilia's actions on me.After all, Lilia's goal wasn't to hurt me.

"What happened to you, Gerald?" ask mom while caressing my head.

What the hell happened to me? I don't know, I myself don't know what happened to me.I remember I was at grandfather's house and I went to the 2nd floor to the room where I used to stay.Then after that...

I immediately got up from my bed.My body trembled very violently.Speaking began to pour back from my body.

"What's Gerald? Are you having a fever?" asked the mother who placed her hand on my forehead.

"Geez Gerald! Your body is hot!" said the mother who immediately told Lilia to call father to come.

"I'm fine ma'am." I replied to the panicked mother.Honestly, after seeing that figure I want to leave the grandfather's house immediately.

"Whatchu mean? Your body is so hot! You can't go anywhere, we're staying here tonight!" mother's scolding on me.

Shit, I don't want to be in Grandpa's house anymore.The black figure still haunts my mind.His blood red eyes with pointy teeth are still very much in my mind.

"What's up with Gerald? Is he awake?" asked the father who was in a hurry to enter the room followed by Robert and Lilia.

"The body was very hot, I think he had a fever" replied the mother.

Dad came straight to me who could only lie on the bed.The whole body felt very limp to move.

"Are you okay?" ask me a thin smile.

I can only nod slowly.Dad caressed my head and smiled.Of course I lied, I don't want to move too much.But I don't want to meet that figure anymore.

"Tonight we're staying here, Lilia tell your grandfather that we're staying here for the night" he told us all.

Nah! I just want to go home! I don't want to be here tonight!

"Robert, please take care of your sister.Mom and dad will go find medicine for your sister" said the mother to Robert who just stood next to me.

Robert nodded in agreement with the orders from his mother.Now in this room there is only me and Robert.

Ahh I really want to go home...

I immediately woke up from my sleeping position.The moonlight looks very bright entering the window of the room.Entah how long I have been asleep.

I looked towards the sofa room.Robert was seen sleeping there.Actually Lilia also insisted on wanting to accompany me, but father and mother did not allow it.

I jumped straight out of my bed.This sound was really like being behind me.Slowly I tried to see what was behind my back.

"Hello son..."

I immediately ran up to Robert who was asleep on the sofa.I couldn't do anything, at least Robert could help me.

"Ohh you can't be so young" said the figure moving his hand to Robert.

Suddenly a black shadow flew and covered Robert's entire body.The figure brought Robert closer to him with the shadow.

"Do you want what he is?!" I screamed at the black figure.

"Hoo.. Only now do you want to talk", replied the black figure.

"Just calm down, I won't do anything to him" the figure continued, moving Robert up to the bed.

I have to stay alert.Take a small knife on the table. This figure did not look friendly at all.His pointed teeth added to the evil impression of him.

"What do you want?" ask me with annoyance.

Both of his red eyes looked at me very sharply, like finding something interesting to him.

"You're really interesting, son, introduce my name is Nyx", the figure continued.

"I'm not asking what is your name, what do you want from me?" said I who still insist want to know what this figure wants.

"Just relax, young man, I have no bad intentions at all here", replied the figure.

"Why are you approaching me?" I was still curious about this black figure.

"Come on, I feel something interesting about you" replied the figure.

"What do you mean?"

"I feel something great and powerful from inside your body.I've only seen something like this for the first time in my life", continued the black figure.

I slowly lowered my hands, I don't think the intention of this figure is entirely evil.

"What's your name?" I asked while still holding the small knife in my hand.

"My name is Nyx, you can call me that" Nyx replied with a smile that remained terrible.

"How old are you?"

"So, it may be thousands of years that I have lived in this world" Nyx replied casually.

I was surprised to hear it.To know some creatures in this world are indeed long-lived.But I have never heard of those that are up to thousands of years old.

"What am I supposed to do with you?" I asked Nyx.

"It's up to you, you're free to consider me a friend or an opponent" Nyx replied.

I think Nyx really has no ill intentions at all.Perhaps behind her terrible figure, she will not do evil actions to me.

"But I will be very appreciative and loyal if you consider me a friend" Nyx continued.

"Do you have no friends at all?" I asked Nyx.

"No, it's been thousands of years that I have no friends at all" Nyx replied in a slightly sad tone.

I just fell silent.I did not expect that this creature was alone for thousands of years.

"Will you be my friend?" I asked Nyx who was silent.

I think Nyx was quite surprised to hear my offer.I'm sure the humans who saw this creature must have run scared to see it.

Now I just have to wait.Will he be my loyal friend and be with me, or will he be the opponent that will make me fight with him...
