"Geek!"
"What?"
Sohyun stared at the figure of the red-spirited young man who irritated into his house after the door opened wide. Sohyun clenched his hands tightly, eager to hit Jihoon's back of the head hard, shifting the young man's brain forward.
Sighing softly, he immediately entered his house. Take off her shoes and put them on the shoes. While Jihoon was already lying on his bed, the young man looked so relaxed at his house, as if it was his residence.
"Yes, Park Jihoon. Do you realize this isn't your home?" Sohyun raised his hand, pointing to the upper floor which was more precisely the residence of the red mane youth.
Jihoon closed his eyes tightly, starting to regulate his breathing as calmly as possible. He knew the girl would babble indistinctly.
His ears were tired of hearing various babbles from his lover.
Today isn't she going to have to punish her new lover who has made her wait almost 30 minutes in the parking lot. But somehow his calm was drained by the sound of Sohyun who felt unfair because he suddenly entered Sohyun's house.
Brucks
Jihoon opened his one eye looking at Sohyun. The girl threw her bag on the floor then turned towards her refrigerator. Sohyun let out a long sigh for the umpteenth time, he was already tired of Jihoon's strange demeanor.
Not the man, not the attitude. Everything's weird.
"I want to eat something."
Sohyun turned his head. He held his cold water up while giving a confused look to Jihoon who was sitting on his bed.
"Make me ramen."
"Make it yourself."
"I don't know."
"What have you been eating for so long if you can't?"
"I'm buying ready-to-eat food, or brewing it in the supermarket out there."
Sohyun was silent, His gaze immediately directed at the clear bottle in his hand. He was silent for a moment thinking about Jihoon's words just now.
Sohyun was indeed upset at Jihoon who suddenly entered his room and lay there as if it was his bed. But hearing the young man eating only prepared food made him feel a little sorry for him.
"You feel sorry?"
Sohyun turned his head, his brown eyes were rounded. How could the young man know?
Jihoon chuckled. Back to lay her body on the bed. His black bead scanned the ceiling of Sohyun's room filled with stars.
"You know what's sad in the world, cutie?"
"What?"
"Month."
"..."
"He was alone, without light and only in the dark." Jihoon closed his eyes for three seconds then opened them slowly, revealing his beautiful bead. "He's lonely."
"She still has stars around her" said Sohyun.he approached Jihoon who was still lying on his bed. When he was in front of Jihoon, both his hands immediately folded on his stomach.
"Did you forget that every night there are stars accompanying the moon?"
Jihoon sighed. He woke up from his reclining show, slightly raising his gaze to see a cute figure standing before him.
"If you forget, sometimes stars don't show up at night. He left the moon in complete darkness."
Sohyun. Jihoon's words left him speechless. True said Jihoon, the star does not always accompany the moon every night. Sometimes stars disappear and leave the moon alone.
Jihoon smiled slightly. He stood up from his seat, not forgetting to grab his backpack that was placed on the bed Sohyun.
"Do you think it's appropriate for the moon to have one star to accompany it in every darkness?"
Jihoon asked after putting his backpack on his back.
Sohyun was speechless observing the brown bead. His lips felt frozen, some sentences that had been wanting to be uttered had to be stuck in his throat. Sohyuns
The red mane youth smiled smirk. He brought his face closer and then kissed his lover's cheek at a glance.
"I'll be back at dinner" he said before he stepped out of Sohyun's house.
Sohyun's brown bead observed Jihoon's wide back slowly moving away from him. Right the young man put up his shoes, the brown bead Jihoon lifted up looking at Sohyun. He smiled a little.
"Park Jihoon." call Sohyun.
"Yes." Yeah."
"I have a lover. Her name-"
"I love you." Jihoon smiled slightly. He turned his body around, opened the door of Sohyun's house then disappeared behind the door, leaving Sohyun with his confusion.
;
"What's going on?" jaemin asked when Jihoon got into his car. The red mane youth placed his bag in the back seat then leaned his body on the back of the soft chair.
Closed his eyes. Jihoon completely ignored his best friend's question and chose to lie down.
Jaemin sighed softly. The young mane turned on his car engine and took it away from the front of Jaehyun's caffe.
Along the way, the two are enveloped by a suffocating silence. Ah no, only Jaemin felt suffocated with silence. While Jihoon might be the young man was completely asleep.
Jaemin turned his head for a second to look at his friend's condition. Somehow Jihoon who was beside him was much different from Jihoon who was yesterday. Though during the school, Jihoon looks good before he tells if his target Kim Sohyun has a lover.
Wait, there's no way Jihoon is like this because it's not.
"Jy." Jn."
"Hm."
"Not as usual. You got a problem?"
"Not really" replied Jihoon still closing his eyes tightly.
"Are you like this because of that girl?"
"Who?"
"Kim Sohyun's."
The sakura petals opened slowly, revealing its galaxy-like brown bead.
Closing his eyes slowly. A few minutes ago, it flashed in his head. Jihoon remembered the incident before he grabbed his bag on Sohyun's bed.
The brown bead found a neatly arranged brown frame on Sohyun's study desk. A picture that made Jihoon smile. A picture showing Sohyun looking so happy as the handsome young man kissed her cheek.
It was a photo of Sohyun with his lover; definitely not Jihoon.
Jihoon glanced at his best friend who seemed focused on the street in front of him. He knew that right now Jaemin was very curious about him. He smiled a little and then looked forward.
"How long have we known?"
"Eh-?" Jaemin looked over with his confused look. A few seconds watching Jihoon, Jaemin threw his gaze straight ahead. "Six or seven years. I don't remember clearly, you helped me from the bad boys and then we met again because your father was my father's best friend."
Jihoon smiled faintly.
"If it's like I'm the moon, then what are you?"
"Sun maybe?"
"Stupid, far away."
"You're stupid. Listen first, do you know why the moon has light at night?"
"Because he has it."
"That's why going to school, don't just sleep."
"I don't think you're just." Jihoon clucked annoyedly hearing that. Jaemin seemed to not reflect on himself. What need Jihoon to give a big mirror for his birthday.
"But not as often as you. Look, the Moon has light thanks to the reflection of the sun and a little bit of the earth. The moon has no light."
"Then what's the connection."
"The sun will always give its light to the moon, not only dark but also when it is light. At least the sun won't leave the moon alone."
"I will remain like the sun that is always with you, though far away. You're the one who means something to me."
Jihoon allowed his gaze to look at Jaemin who was still focused on the street in front of him even though his mouth continued to make words after that, Jihoon already did not know what else Jaemin said.
Lucky he has a bad friend who at least cares about him rather than a good friend but does not care about him.
Jaemin turned his head for a second, he smiled looking at Jihoon.
"How'd I say it? Do I look cool?"
"No, you're disgusting."
"Aishis. Why are you asking about the moon? you want to stay on the moon?"
Jihoon shook his head. He was silent for a while before opening his mouth to make a sound.
"Is it okay if the moon asks for a star with her at night?"
"Hm."
"Killing thousands of stars just to get one star is that okay?"
"What are you talking about?"
"I want to kill Kim Sohyun's lover."
:
:
"Whoaaaa are you serious?"
Jaehyun nodded his head. He smiled until he showed his dimples.
"Next month there will be an annual event on campus, and the arts faculty participate in this annual event." Jaehyun took a slow sip of his coffee latte, enjoying the warm sensation running down his throat.
"You can come, because the event is open to the public. The SHS students can come."
Sohyun was happy not to play. This is an opportunity for him to meet his lover and make a surprise. Jeez, Sohyun really can't wait for next week, where he will meet his girlfriend after several years of not communicating with each other.
"Gomawo oppa."
Jaehyun nodded his head. He placed his porcelain cup on the table and focused his eyes on Sohyun's happy face.
Jaehyun's mouth was open and closed. He wanted to say something but Sohyun's happy face made him undo his intentions. Sohyun looked very happy and he did not want to melt Sohyun's happiness with that question.
;
Woojin paces his long legs close to his extended family dining table. There his father and mother were waiting for him, and there was a man in his 70s. Woojin smiled cheerfully seeing the figure of the 70s man sitting in the center of the dining chair.
"Harabouji." Sapa Woojin, the 70s man turned his head and smiled at Woojin. His beloved grandson after Jihoon.
"I don't know if Grandpa's coming" Woojin said as he pulled the chair across from his father. His black bead glanced at the father who was so leisurely feeding his dinner into his mouth. Woojin smiled faintly. "Haraboji will spend the night?"
Grandfather nodded his head slowly, one hand moving to feed the rice into his mouth.
"Yes, Jihoon promised to come here" said the grandfather in between his chews.
"Ji-jihoon?"
Grandpa nodded his head again.
Woojin glanced at his father, asking for an explanation. But the one that looks indifferent.
*Tap
Tap
Tap*
Jihoon stepped foot with a heavy heart approaching his family's dining table. Jihoon sighed once in a while, it was hard to sit among his family and spend a few minutes together.
To him the place was like a scary thing to him. She last sat there a few years ago when her father announced Woojin and Nakyung's match. A notice that made Jihoon's life ruined like this.
"Jiohoon!" call grandfather, his hand moved beckoning his beloved grandson to come closer.
Jihoon smiled forcedly. As her legs drew closer, when she was next to Woojin, Jihoon immediately pulled up his chair and sat quietly.
"You're finally coming."
Once again Jihoon was forced. Hiding his annoyance at being in a place he does not like. Jihoon turned his gaze to look at the head of the family. The man was still the same, with his flat face looking at him.
There was no typical smile of a father welcoming the son back from his outer exploration. No more warm hugs were given to him.
His father remained cold after a few years had passed.
Jihoon lowered his head and smiled cynically. What the head of the family expected, the man only loved Woojin, not Jihoon.
"Tonight you're gonna spend the night, right?" grandpa asked, breaking the silence at the dinner table.
Jihoon turned his head, he smiled as he shook his head. "No, I'm going back to my house."
"Isn't this also your home, what else are you looking for outside of Jihoon?"
"The outside world is his choice, there is no need to find out more father. He just loves his outer life."
Grandpa clucked annoyed to hear the words of his only son. How could a father utter such a sentence to his own son.
The man in his 70s raised his spoon then hit it right on his son's head.
"Yaaa, did you ever teach your son to talk like that. Look, your son has been outside for a few years, and when he's right in front of you you say hurtful words. Instead of welcoming him well even said it. Are you my son or not?"
"Dad!"
"Dad be." the beautiful woman offered the grandfather drinking water, trying to calm the man whom the family respected. Grandfather sighed softly, his hand immediately grabbed the clear glass then gulped down the water greedily.
Woojin and Jihoon who as the audience can only be silent. This incident is common, when his father was angry by his grandfather because of Jihoon's presence. Yes, thanks to the presence of Jihoon his grandfather would be angry and blame his son.
Only the grandfather was the only family to protect Jihoon to date.
;
:
"You're full of Park Jihoon's surprises" said Woojin approaching Jihoon who was standing on the porch, looking at the darkness of the night.
Jihoon turned his head for a few seconds, then turned his gaze to stare at the light coming out from the city lights.
"Are you really Sohyun's girlfriend?"
"Do I have to do it again?"
Woojin sighed softly.
"Then what about Nakyung? I thought you loved her?"
Jihoon smiled smirk. He turned his head to look at Woojin.
"Who loves him? I just love Kim Sohyun." he said, looking at Jihoon's eyes as if exploding Woojin who was surprised to hear him.
He approached, slashing his distance. Jihoon closed his lips in Woojin's ear, whispering something that made the black bead move glancing at Jihoon.
"Lee Nakyung is no longer my business. It's your destiny to take care of that spoiled girl." Jihoon glanced at his brother, he smiled wryly. "I heard you guys were back in a match. Isn't that fun?"
Woojin clenched his hands, until the tissue books turned white. Woojin was eager to throw a punch on his brother's handsome face.
If only the figure of a man in his 70s did not approach the two of them. Jihoon kept his face away from Woojin's ears when he heard the sound of his grandfather's cane knocking.
Putting on his fake smile, Jihoon approached and helped the grandfather to sit on the whitewashed iron chair.
"Why is grandpa out? It's already night."
"Grandfather heard the voices of you two. What are you talking about until you whisper like that."
Woojin approaches the grandfather, smiling like Jihoon. Hiding everything well.
"Haraboji's only school thing."
The man in his 70s patted his right side seat, gesturing his two grandchildren to sit "Here you sit, there's something grandfather wants to ask you."
Jihoon and Woojin throw one another a glance before finally deciding to sit on an empty chair. Jihoon sat next to Grandpa and Woojin on the left.
"Jihoon."
"Ne."
"How's your new home? Is the facility satisfactory?"
Jihoon nodded his head in response. Despite the fact that he is a little less satisfied with his new home because it does not have soundproofing that makes him continue to argue with his new neighbors.
"I like my new house."
"Next time Grandpa will visit there."
Jihoon smiled. Grandfather turned his head to look at one of his grandchildren who was looking down, observing the bends of his fingers.
"Is there anything interesting on your finger Park Woojin?"
Woojin raised his head, looking surprised to hear his grandfather's voice aimed at him.
"Eoh, a-anio." Woojin replied. Grandfather smiled sincerely, one hand touching Woojin's shoulder and squeezing it as if channeling energy.
"Are you okay with your father?"
"Eh?"
Grandpa shook his head. He straightened his gaze forward, took a deep breath and then exhaled it.
"Are they not beautiful, the moon, the stars and the beauty of the city at night."
Jihoon and Woojin simultaneously turned their heads to the side. See the incredible night view.
"..."
"If you think, the night is not more beautiful than the day which is only accompanied by sunlight?" ask the grandfather to his two grandchildren. He smiled kindly when he saw the confused face of the grandson.
His grandson's face reminded the two when they were children. When a cute and handsome face is confused as he tells little tales.
He sighed softly, remembering the little face of his grandson made him miss that day. Where his two grandchildren are still familiar like real brothers.
"In the evening we can relax for a moment and enjoy this beautiful view. The stars, the moon and the lights of the city. During the day we are just busy working and attending school, right?"
Woojin nodded his head. Grandfather turned his head and looked at his enthusiastic self with a smile.
"I hope you can enjoy this beautiful view every night. Don't think about what you shouldn't think at your young age. Enjoy what's going on."
"..."
"If you feel tired, talk to your grandfather. Grandpa will help you."
Woojin smile. Luckily he still has a grandfather. Someone who would listen to his grievances, and someone who was by his side.
During this time, Woojin felt alone in the world. He could not reveal what he wanted to say, everything was hidden and ended up only he knew.
Long the three of them are silent, enjoying the breeze of the night that blows and the beauty of the city of Seoul at night.
Woojin lowered his head, looking at his black watch. The clock has shown 9 o'clock, they have been silent here for too long, letting the wind seep into the body.
"Haraboji, we'd better get in. It's too cold for you."
Grandpa looked up and smiled.
"Woojinie, can you make grandpa hot milk chocolate?"
"Eh."
Woojin was surprised to hear it, he turned his gaze to look at Jihoon asking for his help. But the one being stared at only turned his eyes towards his phone.
A few seconds into silence, Woojin nods his head and smiles.
"All right, I'll make it."
"Gomaw."
Woojin stood up from his seat and extended his long legs leaving the terrace. Let Jihoon and his grandfather time for both.
A few seconds of Woojin's absence around the two of them. Grandfather turned to look at his one wayward grandson.
"You don't intend to go back to this house?"
Jihoon raised his head. One of his eyebrows shot up, the water of his face turned puzzled. I don't understand at all the words of that elder.
It took Jihoon a few seconds to understand. When he understood, Jihoon smiled a little.
"There's no reason for me to go back to Haraboji. My presence is no longer necessary in this family."
"Do you still think that way?"
"..."
"You've never seen the other side. Yes, your father ignored you, but what about Woojin? Your absence here makes Woojin bear all his burden alone. A burden that he should not carry, he should carry it, take your place."
"..."
"Woojin doesn't receive as much love as you might imagine. He just takes a lot of burden. You know your father-" he said cut off for a moment. Returning to think of his son's outrageous nature. "Grandfather doesn't know who he's down to, grandfather and grandmother don't have the nature of him."
"Maybe a great-grandfather or a great-grandmother."
Grandpa shook his head not knowing. He had forgotten the nature of his parents.
"Jihooni."
"..."
"Grandfather wishes you didn't hate Woojin. However, it was not his desire to get engaged to Nakyung. Grandpa doesn't want to see you hate each other. Can you do Park Jihoon?"
Jihoon quiet. He was still not sure he could comply with the request of his grandfather. However, Jihoon already hates Woojin, and until now he has not forgiven his brother, even though this happened because of his father's actions.
;
Sohyun glanced at his wall clock that showed 10pm, and signs of Jihoon's presence were still not seen before him.
The young man said he would be back by dinner time, and it was past dinner time but Jihoon had not shown up yet.
Sohyun had even spent his time cooking home food for Jihoon for sure.
Butbut wait.
Why would he have to cook food for Jihoon? Why did he have to wait for the young man?
Sohyun clucked in annoyance, he stepped closer to his dining table, grabbing one by one the meals that were on the table. Her tiny feet were approaching the trash can about to throw away all of her cooking.
It's not that he doesn't want to eat his own food. But he was already upset and full to see so much food provided.
The white rice almost fell into the garbage can if the sound of the doorbell of his house in not pressed suddenly. Sohyun raised his gaze and reflexively placed the rice bowl on the kitchen table.
Her little feet moved near the door of her house. Sohyun opened the door of his house, and was surprised to see Jihoon's presence in front of his door.
Jihoon smiled looking at his petite lover. He thought Sohyun would not open the door of his house if he saw the clock already showing 10 nights.
"You haven't slept yet."
"I'm learning." elak Sohyun. The red mane youth ganged into the house, took off his shoes and put on house slippers before stepping further into the house.
"Your learning table is neat." Jihoon turned his body around, asking for an explanation for the lies.
Sohyun bit his lower lip. Ah shit, he should have opened the book before opening his room.
Jihoon smiled mischievously, putting on a face that looked annoying to Sohyun. His long legs on the steps closer to the dining table, Jihoon took off his bag and placed it on his right side.
"You cook?"
"Hm." sohyun muttered, he stepped closer, grabbing one by one the food served on the table, making the red mane youth gawk in confusion.
"What do you want to do?"
"Warm it, do you want to eat cold food?" answer Sohyun with as little a tone as possible. Different in the mouth different in the heart. His mouth could have said something indifferent, but not with his heart that kept pounding.
Since Jihoon came, Sohyun could not hold the pounding that continued to occur in his chest, peaking faster like a maroton run out.
Sohyun turned on the stove, starting to heat up the tofu soup he had cooked earlier.
Jihoon smiled. His feeling was comfortable seeing the tiny back that was behind him.
The red mane youth got up from his seat, stepped closer to Sohyun who was installing his brown apron.
"Here let me help you" he said, picking up Sohyun's hand expert who was busy tying the apron strings behind his body.
Sohyun. His heart was beating fast again.
He's felt this before. Sohyun was sure his feelings were pounding because of it.
Shake his head slowly. Throwing away all the thoughts of her who had fallen in love. Sohyun couldn't possibly fall in love with Jihoon so easily.
He still has a lover. Kim Doyoung's. Please remind Sohyun about her lover.
"You must have heard." Jihoon said with his heavy tone that sounded sexy.
Sohyun just kept quiet. Be a good listener.
"Your classmate must have told you that I was a demon, and the one you should avoid." Jihoon's hands were raised touching Sohyun's shoulders. The tiny shoulder stiffened as his hand crept slowly. "The news soured faster than I thought. But it's okay, I like it when they get away from me."
Sohyun turned his head to the side. The tail of his eyes looked at Jihoon beside him who was smiling.
Jihoon's two hands that had been clutching Sohyun's shoulders slowly descended and coiled around the girl, his chin propped up on Sohyun's boat.
"I don't want them to approach me because I'm the son of a school board member."
"..."
"But you're different, I want you to be around me. I want you to be mine completely."
"It's wrong" Sohyun said, his hand trying to let go of Jihoon's hand that was coiling his stomach. But the more Sohyun tried, the embrace of the red mane youth grew tighter.
"I have a lover."
"I love you."
"Park Jihoon."
Sohyun gave a dislike and annoyed look upon hearing that.
"You're my girlfriend Kim Sohyun."
"I belong to someone else."
"Decide on the man or I did something bad to him."
Sohyun glared at Jihoon's words, but Jihoon raised a sharp gaze. It was as if his gaze was serious about his words.
Swallowed his saliva violently. Is this Jihoon's true nature? The horrible nature that Joy once told her.
Jihoon is dangerous, you might not see him dangerous right now, but a few days later you can see him.
Joy's words re-echoed his ears. He should have obeyed Joy's request to stay away from Jihoon. If this is what should he do?
Run?
Whither? His resting place to this day has not revealed himself.
