Chapter 18: Blast VS Dark Monarch

Blast POVs

I was on my way back to headquarters after I had just completed the mission they gave me a few minutes ago.

But on the way home, I saw a giant centipede rampaging and destroying every building that flashed before his eyes.

I immediately teleported outside the headquarters window and saw that everyone was busy looking for a way to deal with the giant centipede monster. I'll teleport back immediately.

"Hmm .. Let me call them!" I connected my phone to the headquarters.

*kring!!!*

*kring!!!*

They immediately answered the call.

"Yo Sitch, it looks like you are in a pinch," I said as I looked at the giant monster.

"Blast, glad you called! We need someone to deal with the giant monsters that are rampaging in L City right now. The other S-class heroes are on their respective missions right now, so they can't leave" Sitch said from the phone.

“Ah, this giant centipede? yeah, I'm looking at it right now. Pretty big but no problem” I replied.

"Then I leave it to you" said Sitch.

"Yes, leave it to me" I said, ending the call.

I put my phone back in my pocket and saw the giant centipede once again.

"Alright," I teleported to the ground below.

After I teleported, I immediately jumped up and threw a punch to the bottom of his head. Then, I teleported again to the left and threw a loud kick.

The monster tried to escape despite getting 2 heavy blows from each side of its head.

But I immediately stopped him by grabbing his giant body and throwing it into the sky. Followed by a streak of blows on his body until it fell to the ground. The weight of his body sent debris into the air, finally settling back into the dust fog below.

Then I waited until the dust was gone and he showed me his giant body. But, after all the dust cleared the area, the monster disappeared.

"He managed to escape, huh.." I sighed.

Before long, I could feel a powerful aura not far from where I was standing

'What?!' I was shocked by the aura he carried.

I immediately looked over to the area.

I could see the silhouette of a humanoid figure walking towards me. He approached slowly, carrying an aura I had never seen before.

The faint smoke after the battle between me and the giant monster remained, clouding my view of him.

After the dust settled, I could see it well.

Long black hair with two horns encircling his head. Red and gold gouged his eyes that revealed his demonic legacy could definitely cause his enemy to waver. Full-layered black armor covered his body and legs, a huge red gem in his chest area, and sharp claws as his gloves. From behind him, a long black tail swept out that could act as a third hand. Really.

And the way he looked at me was like seeing someone who was about to die. And I know I don't like it very much.

"Who.you.." I asked.

She smiles.

"Ah...should we introduce ourselves first?" He said while tilting his head.

"It's nice to meet you, Blast Hero Class S. I am the one called by the Hero Association 'Dark Monarch'," he said with a slight bow.

'Should I try to hit him while he's still making a speech?' i'm contemplating.

"I'm here for-"

I immediately teleported behind him and threw a loud kick.

*BANG!*

He blocked it with his left hand.

"Rude! I have not finished my speech!” He said while pouting.

I jumped to get some distance and ran towards him.

I tried to throw a punch, but the punch clashed with his punch causing a huge wave of wind. It made nearby rocks and ruins scattered around the place.

I struggled to hold my position due to the clashes, so I teleported away from the place as fast as I could.

"Teleportation, yes .." he murmured.

He straightened his right hand.

Suddenly, his body was enveloped in the black aura of – as well as me.

He then pulled his hand.

I was immediately pulled by his actions.

He took a punching position and prepared to punch me.

I quickly folded my hands to act as if I was defending myself.

And before he landed a punch, I immediately teleported behind him and struck him.

*BANG!*

He was thrown by my punch and hit a rock.

"You are strong, but you still lack fighting experience" I told him.

"Then I'll get that experience from you" he whispered from behind me.

'WHAT?' I was shocked and quickly turned around.

*BANG!*

But before my body hit the wall, he instantly appeared behind me and launched me into the sky with his kick.

'What is it, my teleportation?!' i'm contemplating.

He then instantly appeared again in front of me and tried to hit me but I immediately teleported to the ground.

He followed immediately appeared to the ground far away from my place.

*huft**huft*

'I've used too much teleportation for today. I can't risk my body more than this' I thought.

From this distance, I could see him clenching his fists and muttering about something.

'Is this ... time I have to sacrifice myself here to defeat him? He's too dangerous to be left alive. For a better future, should I...' Thought.

"Hi!" I'm yelling.

His attention was immediately on me.

"May I ask -"

He suddenly appeared in front of me and bowed me with his psychic powers.

"SNAKE!" I just fell on one knee.

"Speak," he said with sparkling eyes.

'What's with this psychic power! even Tatsumaki isn't this strong' I thought.

"W-what, your goal, KUGH!" I said as I struggled to see his face.

"Ah, my goal." he said.

Suddenly, the output of power he exerted on his psychic power was getting lower.

So I managed to see his face.

"There's nothing special, I just want to enjoy my new life in this world with my friends" he said, with a faint smile on his face.

"Are you, no, planning to conquer the earth?" I said with great difficulty.

He tilted his head.

"Why should I do something as troublesome as that?" She said

"I. I see..." I feel relieved.

'Looks like my life hasn't ended here' inwardly.

It suddenly reminded me of something I had to take care of.

'Ah, that little black box.' I pondered and immediately teleported to my room and fainted.

POV 1st

"..."

"he..teleport away.." I said in a low tone.

"I HAVEN'T ASKED FOR HIS SIGNATURE YET, AAAAA!!!!!" I'm yelling.

Headquarters of the Hero Association (City A)

"Master, report" The bespectacled man went to deliver his report.

"Ah, was it the explosion that dropped the giant monster? Don't worry, I already know he will win" Sitch said as he sipped his tea.

“Ah yes, that's one of the reports sir,” said the bespectacled man.

"What's? you mean, the report wasn't just that?" Sitch put his tea on the table.

"Yes master, the sudden appearance of the Dark Monarch is also in the master's report," said the bespectacled man with sweat all over his face.

"Continue" said Sitch.

"Yes, Master, the Dark Monarch and the Blast have been engaged in battle," said the bespectacled man.

"And Blast won the fight, right?. Even someone like the Dark Monarch could not win against-"

"That's unfortunately... Blast... Mr..." Said the glasses guy with a pale face.

"What did you say?" Sitch asked for confirmation.

“Blast, lose the war sir,” said the bespectacled man while looking down.

Sitch fell out of his chair.

"Certainly that?" Sitch tried to confirm it once again.

"We have the tape... Sir," replied the man in glasses.

"No.maybe..." Sitch was surprised by that fact.

"..."

"..."

Silence once again enveloped the room.

Soon after, Sitch quickly stood up.

"Quickly request a meeting with the superior. Tell them it's an emergency" Sitch declares his order.

"YES SIR!" The bespectacled man replied and immediately left the room.
