Chapter 24's

Marine Office.

In the Marine Office on the other side of the city there was a room filled with smoke that was so thick that you could not see anything in it.

"Captain Smoker." A Marine said he went inside wearing a hat over his black hair.

"Message from headquarters." The Marines continued with the silloet standing.

"We just received word that Monkey D. Luffy, and ‘Salamander’ Natsu Dragneel and their crew head here to Loguetown with a thirty million prize for Luffy, and fifty million gift berries on Natsu." He finished with a salute.

"Thirty million berry gifts, I can't wait to meet him." Smoker said in a rude voice.

"This master is the pirate who defeated the pirate Don Krieg, and the 'Gigi Saw' Arlong." The Marines said, "And then there was Natsu who was the strongest bounty hunter of the East Blue, who defeated the pirates at least forty million bounties." Marines continued.

"I know Natsu he brought gifts here before." Smoker said he walked up to a widow and opened it to let out the smoke.After cleaning, Smoker is now seen turning his head back to the Marines.

"Why is it so tense now?" Smoker. Smokers are muscular men with light blue-green hair, smoking two cigars at a time. Shirtless wears blue jeans with a brown belt and large brown leather boots.

"Only have I ever faced a pirate with such a high reward before." The Marines said as Smoker looked at him,

"Well, I know Natsu is a strong fighter since the last time he was here, I wasn't with him." Smoker said while thinking,

"Fight hard and he can hit me." He continued,

"Although the Marines who gave him the gift are corrupt, and are now in prison, Natsu joins the pirates before we know it." Smoker explained,

"H.Q. probably won't take his prize because of that." He finish.

"But Luffy is a mystery." Smoker said with his hand on his chin, "Don't worry." Smoker said as he walked towards his desk.

"Under my command, is there one pirate who set foot that has not been captured?" He asked while wearing his jacket. A large marine specialist jacket of white and blue color that is left open with greenish fur lining the neck, wrists, and ends. Many cigars are tied to jackets that have kanji for 'justice' behind them. He put Jutte on his back.

"No, Sir." The marines said anxiously,

"Then be calm." Smoker said while wearing brown gloves. Another Marine came running in.

"Reporting Mr." He said with respect,

"I've just received word that a pirate group has just arrived." Smoker looked at him.

"You are asked to go there immediately." Marines finished. "That must be Luffy, and Natsu." The first marines exclaimed.

"Thirty million berry reward huh?" Smoker said as he walked out the door.

"It's gonna be interesting." He said while thinking, though,

"Huh, did you say something, Mister?" The marines asked.

"Just talk to myself." Smoker said from behind his shoulder,

"Sir Wait." The first Marines said when Smoker left, he,

"Didn't you want this?" He said holding a poster of Luffy.

Out.

"Captain, you need to tell us what your order is." A Marine said to walk behind Smoker. "No." Smoker said clearly, "Master, do you know who this pirate defeated?" Marines asked. Smoker stopped and looked over his shoulder with a dark look. "You're bothering me." Smoker said scare the Marines.

"I'm the one leading here." He said as the Marines saluted,

"Understand Sir!" The marines exclaimed,

"Where is Tashigi?" Smoker asked soothingly. The Marines thought for a moment before answering. He said as Smoker sighed.

"The irresponsible girl where did she go?" She asked.

"Yes, I have ice cream!" A little blonde girl in a pink dress exclaimed running with her ice cream.

"Be careful, baby, don't fall." Said the girl's father walking behind her wearing a long-sleeved shirt and shorts. The girl hit someone's leg and spilled her ice cream onto the person's pants. He looked up and saw Smoker staring at him blankly.

"CAPTAIN SMOKER!" exclaim the girl's father. The little girl started crying.

"Es my cream." He said when his father started apologizing. Smoker knelt down and gave the girl a gold coin.

"Thank you." The girl, and her father said as Smoker waved over her shoulder.

Later.

"You all should be honored." A tall, skinny pirate with gray hair, a black mustache, and a black-grey beard wearing a tricorne and a unique-looking red coat said. The middle corner of the hat is curved downward in such a way that it resembles the top of the crescent moon.

"You've given your things to the next Pirate King." He exclaimed,

"Who's in charge here?" A rough voice said behind the pirates. They all turned around and saw a tall muscular man smoking two cigars. "Who wants to know?" The pirate asked while sneering.

"So, you're Monkey D. Luffy?" Smoker asked, though,

"You're not worth thirty million, you're not even worth the price of my grandmother's shoes for teeth." Smoker said when the pirate got the tick.

"How dare you talk to me like that." He yelled at Smoker. Suddenly the smoke started swirling around the smoker as the pirates saw his jaw fall.

Nami, Natsu, and Nojiko.

Natsu, Nami, and Nojiko were sitting at a table outside the restaurant.

"Captain Smoker?" Nami asked as she stroked Happy who was sleeping on her lap. Natsu nodded.

"Yes, I forgot this is where he is." Natsu explained after they finished eating.

"Is he strong?" Nojiko asked with her hands propping up her head. "He's one of the strongest Marines in the East Blue." Natsu explained,

"Since he was stationed here, no pirates stopping here are left." He said as Nami, and Nojiko got an anxious expression.

"He's also a logia-type devil fruit user." Natsu finished as Nami's eyes widened, and Nojiko's confused expression.

"Logia type?" Nojiko asked, though,

"Logia-type demon fruit gives the user the ability to become an element or force of nature." Natsu explained. "Smokers have Moku Moku no mi (plume Plume Fruit.)" He continued.

"He can turn into smoke at will, physical attacks will not work on them." He said as Nojiko nodded. "Can they be defeated?" He asked as Naruto nodded.

"Yes, by Haki, the Sea Stone, falling into the sea, their natural abilities are weak, stealth attacks can also work." He finished as they finished their drinks.

Smokers.

Smoker just defeated the pirates and tied them up. "Congratulations, sir, you've captured Luffy." A Marine said as Smoker looked ahead,

"Bas stupid, this isn't Luffy, anyone can see it." Smoker said annoyed.

"If this trash is worth thirty million, I'll be a pirate." Smoker's kidding, man,

"In that case, where is he?" The Marines asked when Smoker saw a teenager wearing a straw hat, a red vest and blue shorts.

"Where does the execution platform look like a dock." He said while looking around. The teenager saw Smoker and ran while waving.

"Hey, I need help." The teenager asked while looking at Smoker. "Do you know where they're executing people around here?" He asked as Smoker looked at him.

"Platforms?" Smoker asked as the teenager looked around.

"Yes, I can't seem to find it." He asked confusedly,

"I've never seen you before." Smoker said as the teenager grinned,

"Yes, this is my first time here." He said while looking around.

"This town is bigger than I thought, and I'm lost." The teenager said as Smoker sucked on his cigar, "Why do you want to go to the platform?" Smoker asked as the teenager looked under his hat that covered his eyes.

"Personal search." He said clearly, though,

"I want to see where the Pirate King was killed" said the teenager with a wide grin as Smoker's eyes widened. "I guess you don't know, oh well." The teenager said go,

"Wait." Smoker said stop the teenager.

"Follow the smoke." He said as the smoke left his mouth drifted towards his left.

"Thank you very much." Said the teenager ran away with Smoker seeing his retreating form.
