"Doctor!" yell Radit and Echa together.
"Aleesa, hang on, son. Don't leave Bubu."
The doctor immediately arrived and examined Aleesa's body. Echa and Radit are told to stay away for a while because the doctor will do the handling.
Radit clasped Echa's hand and hugged his wife. Honestly, he is fragile right now. However, he must look strong because surely his wife will be more fragile than him.
Oh my God, give a miracle to my daughter.
That is the prayer that Radit keeps saying. His heart was crying out loud while his face was like he was enduring tremendous pain. Don't ask how Echa. The light that came out of his mouth. Tears were already flowing profusely and her eyes were already very swollen. There's nothing Echa can say.
While outside the ICU room, Radit family and Gio just arrived there. Ayanda was already crying in Gio's arms because she saw the doctors running around. Samar he heard, the name of his grandson they called.
Addhitama's face has changed pias. He kept looking at the door of the ICU room. I want him to help save Aleesa.
"White."
Rifal rubbed the Papih's shoulders gently. He was sure, his papih felt a very deep sadness. Until he got away from them all and contacted someone.
"Save my grandson. Whatever it costs me."
Addhitama has lost his mind. He remembered what happened almost thirty years ago. Where he stood in the ICU room and before long, he got the bad news that became his grief to this day.
Ten minutes.
Twenty minutes.
They waited with hearts beating very fast. The doctor has not come out yet.
Thirty-five minutes later, the door to the ICU room opened. Echa was unconscious, causing everyone to panic.
"Why my daughter, doc?" ask Rion.
"The son of the Father fainted because he could not accept the reality."
"Truly-reality?"
"Aleesa Addhitama is dead."
The doctor's words made everyone bow in tears. No one is not crying. Echa has been taken to the IGD room for further inspection.
Addhitama immediately entered the ICU room. His steps stopped and his chest felt tight when he saw the son was crying beside the body of his favorite grandson. His heart was like a sharp knife.
His hand tried to gently rub Radit's shoulder. Radit's body is getting shaky.
"Did this sick man lose the one we love, pih?" The sound that sounded was heartbreaking and filled with sadness.
"Radit's not ready yet, Pih."
Addhitama can't talk. Her tears were flowing freely. He had not expected that Radit would have this fate.
Radit stared at the face of Aleesa who was not breathing. Her calm face, her beautiful face and her puffed up cheeks made Radit's tears not stop.
"Sa's brother, don't leave Baba. Is Brother Sa not sad to see Bubu who is now even unconscious like Brother Sa? Wake up, son."
Radit's tears rolled down Aleesa's face. Radit the strong man turns out to be weak if faced with the loss of a person he loves very much. Especially his own son.
"Dit, you must be sincere. Although, Papih knew sincerely it was difficult to do. There are still Echa, Aleena and Aeleya who need you the most. Stiff Dit, for their sake."
Rion, Ayanda and Gio did not dare to approach. They felt the sadness Radit felt. Especially Rion who was like a mute man at this time. Only a clear circle kept dripping down his face.
Oh my God, what about my daughter's feelings?
Rion hurriedly came out of the ICU room. He ran towards the IGD room where Echa was being examined.
"Dad!"
The shrill voice of the son made Rion's steps stop.
"What about Aleesa?" Iyan asked with an irregular breath.
"He left us all."
Iyan's body slid to the floor. She was crying so much.
"Why is everything Iyan sees always true? Wh why? Why would Aleesa leave?"
Rion hugged Iyan's body. He tried to calm down Iyan who was like a person of loyalty.
"Jo, revive Aleesa. Don't let Aleesa go, Jo."
"Mother .. please Aleesa. Iyan please."
Iyan continued to rumble the name of his invisible friend.
"Iyan, relax, son. Quiet." Calm."
Rion brings Iyan to the front of the IGD room. Iyan's eyes were squeaking at his father. Why did his father bring himself to this place?
"Ke-napa-"
"Silver fainted, and now it's inside."
Tears Iyan shed Back. She knew very well how her brother's heart was at this moment.
The doctor came out of the IGD room. Rion immediately approached him and asked Echa's condition.
Rion let out a heavy sigh with a heart that was crying out loud.
Why is your destiny like this, Dek?
As for Radit, he receives warm hugs from everyone who loves him. His head was able to nod, but his heart was still in deep sorrow.
"Dit, accompany your wife. He needs you. Let Aleesa Papih's body take care of."
Radit's consciousness is recovering again. He immediately exited the ICU room and met his wife in the IGD room. There was already Rion hugging Iyan in front of the IGD room.
"Dad," he called.
Rion shook his head, signaling that Echa was unconscious. Radit's heart grew sicker, he asked the IGD doctor to let him enter to accompany his wife.
One meter into Echa's sickly gurney, Radit's heart was hit by a lot of hot bullets. It hurt his heart. He sat down next to Echa and grabbed the wife's hand.
"Darling, wakeup. Don't you want to see our daughter's face one last time?" A speech that just slid from his lips. It hurts, but this is what he has to deal with. Maybe this is a fateful message for his little family.
Radite POV.
An immeasurable worry attacked me when I had just finished a meeting. It turned out that worry was a bad sign for my second child. My heart was not broken that night. The voice of Echa who kept calling my name was ringing in the ears. The shadow of Aleesa's smiling face kept circling my head.
At exactly three in the morning, my phone rang. When I was about to reach my phone, my hand accidentally nudged the glass filled with water so that the glass fell and broke.
"Geez," I murmured.
I didn't heed it, I saw whose name appeared on the phone screen.
"Mommy?"
My heart is beating very fast, there is fear in my heart. When I looked towards the wall clock, my eyes widened. My hand quickly answered the call from my mother-in-law. Not yet I spoke, my mother had already made my chest stop beating for a moment.
"Critical essay, Dit."
My hand immediately had no power until the phone that was beside my ear just slipped out. My brain suddenly stopped thinking. There was only the name of my second wife and child in my head at that time.
I opened the flight ticket application. Damn I didn't get a fast flight. At seven in the morning. Time seems to be slow to turn. My eyes cannot be closed. I called my wife many times, but there was no answer from her.
"How are you doing, honey?"
I am very concerned about my wife's situation. Especially before I left, she complained about not being able to take care of Aleesa alone.
"I'm sorry, honey. If I had listened to you," I said.
At seven, I flew from Singapore to Jakarta. My family called. However, they can go home after their work is done. As for me, leaving my job just like that. I don't care about profit and loss, all I care about is my wife and child.
Inside the plane my thoughts kept on my wife and Aleesa. He's for Aleesa's consciousness I keep saying. At half past ten in the morning, I arrived at the hospital. I immediately ran towards the ICU room. My heart was broken when I saw my wife embrace my mother-in-law's body with tears in her eyes.
"Dear."
I began to approach with a deep breath. My wife's sad, tired and bitter face was very clear. I immediately hugged his weak body. As strong as my wife is in the eyes of her family, in my eyes she is still a weak woman who pretends to be strong.
"I'm sorry."
That's the only word I said. I peeked at the top of my wife's head repeatedly. Her extremely tight circle of hands signified that she was extremely frightened at this moment. Scared, if Aleesa would leave us all.
I clasped my wife's hand into the ICU. There was my father-in-law who was inviting my second daughter to speak who was lying weakly with all medical devices attached to her body. His eyes were also tightly closed. It was as if my in-laws were talking to a breathing doll.
This kind of sight I often saw when I was a doctor. However, this is the first time I have seen my own son, my heart and my own flesh and blood, which are fitted with various life aids. My chest was very tight, my heart was very painful and almost my tears were dripping.
As powerful as I can hold it. I don't want my wife to be sadder if I see me as fragile as this. Moreover, the support of my father-in-law, a little bit to make my spirit present again.
I can't say, my hands hold Echa's. I want to continue to be next to her, honestly not just Echa who is stricken with fear. I feel the same way. I just said my apology to Echa, the sound of the monitor makes me and Echa yell very loudly. The horizontal lines indicated that something had happened to Aleesa's body.
The doctor came, my wife was crying hysterically and I was. My eyes were on my daughter's body surrounded by doctors. The doctor's boisterous voice made my ears buzz even more.
Lord .. I hope this is just a dream.
"Sorry Sir, Mom. We tried our best, but God said something else."
The words of the doctor made my body goosebumps and my wife was instantly unconscious with tears flowing down her face. I chose to approach Aleesa, seeing her condition. Handing my wife over to the doctor.
When I got closer, a loud cry just came out of my mouth. Sick, sad and unexpected to be one.
"Aleesa .. Don't leave Baba, son."
That sentence was what I said with tears that were already unbearable. This was my first experience of being left by someone I loved. I was abandoned by my mother, but it didn't feel as painful as it was because I had never seen it. While daughter?
I wish this was just a nightmare. Wake me up from this nightmare. That is my cry in my heart.
But, this is all real. Everyone said condolences to me. Hugged me with heartbreaking words. Encourage me so that I don't drown in this kind of loss. Papih's words awakened me from an immeasurable sadness.
There are still my two children and Echa who need me. I need to get up, I need to be strong. I'm handing over Aleesa's business to my family. I began to approach my wife who was lying weakly in the IGD.
The feeling of tightness is back. Moreover, seeing my wife's face that was not very shining made me feel even more guilty. I kept holding his hand. Kissing his hand and saying a thousand words of apology. He told her to wake up from her sleep. In order, the two of them could see Aleesa and deliver Aleesa to her final resting place. Although sick and difficult they have to live.
Pov's End.
"Wake up, honey," she said.
Radit placed the back of Echa's hand on her cheek. Her tears glared back until the back of Echa's hand was wet. Small movements of the Echa hand can be Radit felt. He immediately looked towards his wife. Echa's eyes gradually began to blink. Her tears flowed again.
"Aleesa .. I want to see Aleesa."
