ch.10 Dueling?

...DANIEL POV...

"Why would I go to an academy if I had a system and it made me strong in a few days." I thought after rejecting Rine's father's offer.

Everyone who was there was again shocked, except for Catherine, it seemed like she had gotten used to my nature of always turning down an offer and maybe she was now thinking like "Come on, you'll all get used to it eventually."

"What's your reason for turning down an offer of this magnitude?" Dierez asked while looking seriously at me.

Cathrine who heard that laughed, making everyone see her. Maybe he thought it was all a lie I was talking about, because I had told him my reason for revenge so I wanted to go on an adventure, but it was also a lie. It seems like I was born to lie I thought with a small laugh.

The news of the duel between Daniel and Antonio was spread to almost all the nobles in just a few hours. The duel was decided to be carried out tomorrow.

The king, queen, and Cathrine were on the side to watch her as well as some soldiers guarding there.

"Get the fight begin." The emperor said that their duel had already begun.

Antonio who heard it immediately ran towards Daniel, while Daniel, he just stood there quietly waiting for Antonio's arrival.

Seeing the distance is close, Daniel also activated his flagship skill, Haste. He moves next to Antonio to avoid his attack.

Daniel's movement was very fast, Antonio was even surprised by his movement. Looking at Daniel who was beside him, he slashed his sword there.

"I'm giving up." Antonio said as he threw away his sword and raised both of his hands

Dierez who saw it immediately went from his place without saying a single word and was followed by Andiana behind him, some soldiers also accompanied him from behind leaving the three of us with 2 soldiers.

"Good fight." Daniel said as he reached out to Antonio.

"You are very strong." Reply while receiving Daniel's hand.

"Are you okay?" Cathrine walked over to Daniel and held his hand to check if he was injured.

"Oioioi." Said Antonio with a sullen look to Cathrine.

"So, are you going to leave after this?" Catherine asked who ignored her brother's words.

Antonio who saw that looked annoyed himself.

"Right, I'll go straight out of the palace after this, maybe if there's time I'll see you."

Antonio left because he had been ignored by the two of them with the help of the remaining soldiers.

"All right, I'll wait for her." Cathrine said after seeing her sister had left while walking along with Daniel into her palace.

"I'm going to go now ." My word that was already in front of the palace gate to Cathrine with the two warriors guarding beside her.

"Are you seriously unwilling to take the gift my father gave you?" Ask Catherine.

"I don't need that, after all I already have a lot of money in my pocket right now and I don't want to be indebted to others, it's a very troublesome thing."

"The more I get to know you the more weird things get." He said while laughing towards me.

"Then I'll see you again."

"Don't die promise me."

"I'm not a weak man like your brother."

Cathrine who heard that immediately laughed.

After that I set foot leaving the palace, now my goal is to go to the adventurer guild to take on some tasks. After all, the grandfather explained that in the capital there are many tasks that can raise my rank briefly.
