The Last Ruler: The Return of the Goddess

The Last Ruler: The Return of the Goddess
Wallflowers

They continued to walk closer to the castle while fighting the monsters that appeared from various directions. They were quite numerous and troublesome, but fortunately not the type that possessed great power. And their strength benefits with good cooperation.

Now it's... They were standing right in front of the ice castle gate.

" Woahs... It is bigger when viewed up close. Building it with his own strength will definitely take a very long time and great strength." said Aksa while watching the gate, up and down.

The giant door had a beautiful 'Wallflower' flower carving on its blue ice.

" 'The girl who sits without dancing'..." Altair muttered that when he saw the carving, and it caught Remilia's attention beside him.

" A girl who... What is Altair??" he then asked.

" Ah, that's another name for the wallflower flower. That's what I read in the book, if interpreted.it could be someone who introverts, who likes to separate themselves from the crowd." Altair explained about it.

" What is shy also included??"

" No, that doesn't mean shy. I don't know, maybe people who don't like noisy things, don't like trite talk or anything like that. And prefer to be alone. Or.. it could be, someone in this castle, using this flower to explain."

" What do you mean he was excommunicated that way? " Derrick, who had been listening to their conversation, said. It made Altair raise his head because Derrick who was taller than him was right behind him. ".... That's why being Ruler and messing with this village??" continue then.

Altair who heard him shook his head, "I don't know.." Of course, because none of them knew this 'someone.

" I'll open the door.." When Israhi's voice then distracted them, she was already there with Yi and looked at them with her hands touching the ice door. " ....Are you guys ready?" he asked those who were still behind him.

His friends then nodded their heads and prepared, at the same time.. Israhi also pushed the door in front of him slowly.

The ice door slowly opened, with a heavy sound coming from the thick ice as it moved. They all began to step into the inner region of the castle slowly, and were wary. There was ice, ice and ice everywhere.

Blue ice and white gradients as well as snowflakes were falling faintly. This place can be very beautiful when spreading the cold winter to other places as well.

" Woah, all this sparkling ice looks like crystals and gems" Mira said as she looked around.

" I agree and also curious...if the winter is gone, will the ice melt??" yi said then replied.

Mira then turned to her and smiled with a ignorant expression, "If not, I will bring a big hunk to cool the room when summer comes." he said.

" Teacher, isn't it weird that you hate summer when you're someone with fire elements??" Altair is not out of thought with the nature of this one teacher.

Every time summer comes, Mira always complains and turns to not be too excited. If he could, he would lock himself in the bathroom by soaking in a bath full of ice water.

Unfortunately, it turns out that it is not only Mira who has such thoughts. " Hm... It would be nice to be a coolant of drinks that won't break." Derrick is the same.

" Are you out of your mind? There could be something in this ice." Remilia said that and looked at him strangely.

They've got two people with unpredictable minds now...

Gruoo...

A moment later, their attention was diverted because of that voice.

The monsters now reappeared and surrounded them..

" God, where they hide until we are unconscious" Yi murmured when he saw all that.

And Israhi said to him, "I don't think they will answer that" he said, raising a sword in his hand and pointing it at the monsters not far from their place.

Groaarr..!!

The monsters shouted loudly towards them and rushed forward to attack them.

There was nothing to do but to counter-attack and defend.

Altair and the others broke through the monsters' attacks and moved forward to enter the castle.

There are not many difficulties, except the number.

When they almost reached the main entrance, Mira who ran the rear stopped her steps and turned back. The monsters that were still chasing them.

Mira clasped her sword tightly, as her heat energy flowed and made the blade glow in red. And Mira raised the sword in her hand high.

" Him..!!" and he swung it with a hard blow.

Duars...

An explosion was generated, and it managed to eliminate most of the monsters nearby. Mira lit her fire big even in the cold weather like this.

" Sir..!!"

Mira turned her head when she heard that, and she saw that her adorable pupil was still waiting for her in front of the entrance there. He looks pretty worried...

But Mira who saw that just smiled at him and said, "Go, I'll be fine."

He did not want to let the person most important to him face this alone, while another voice spoke to his head.

['Basic stupid! Just leave him and go!.]

Altair closed his eyes as a faint voice appeared accompanied by a piercing pain. Altair did not understand too much, the voice was not clear in his memory. But Altair did think that he should leave immediately...

When Altair felt someone's hand on his shoulder, he turned his face to see who it was.

" Come in with the others first, I'll help your teacher." Derrick talked to him about it.

Altair could not continue to resist that, much less because of his extremely serious eyes. " ...All right, be careful and catch up with us!" he said, and immediately went inside.

On the other hand, Derrick stared at his back which went away for a while, only then did he close the ice door again. Derrick then turned around and immediately walked up to Mira who was still fighting the monsters alone.

***

While inside, they ran straight inside and climbed the stairs to get to the top floor. There were some ice creatures that appeared from the ice floor to block their journey there.

Yet all of them were shot to pieces by Aksa before they could even raise their hands towards them.

" Woah, there's no end! How much longer do we have to do this??" Remilia wondered about this.

" I don't know, just take care that you don't get attacked." said Israhi later, when he slashed the one that appeared on his right side.

Meanwhile, Yi who was at the very front spread out his hands and stopped his steps. " Stop!." he then said so.

The others who followed also stopped, as something white fell from the ceiling.

Groaa...!

It's a white gorilla, really a gorilla. He growled angrily at them, he puffed his chest and lashed it to show how big his body was.

It would look terrible to an ordinary person, a gorilla monster was before them and considered them as enemies. Unfortunately....

" The funny thing is." for Altair who never saw it was exactly the opposite.

" Altrade.." Aksa could not speak anymore with his behavior.

And it got worse when the gorilla in front of them raised his clenched hand high above his head and intended to hit them with it. It was a huge hand that was very hard and had sharp thorns from the ice.

" Oh no..!!" Remilia was surprised by the attack, the space around them was limited.

Altair who saw that also became a disappointed expression, "Ah, I pulled back my words" he said.

He then raised both his hands up there, no, not to make a barrier... Except the dimensional portal. The gorilla's hand entered the portal, at the same time another portal appeared behind his back.

Altair reversed the attack until the gorilla attacked itself.

The gorilla shouted loudly as his back was injured by his own hands, but Altair did not give him the slightest chance.

Altair raised his spear beside his head, aiming at his chest. Then, Altair threw it with full force on the gorilla.

His spear shot out at high speed, it pierced through the gorilla's chest and stuck it in the upper wall behind it. Leaving a large hole in his chest, the gorilla fell on the floor.

Meanwhile, something caught Altair's attention. It was a series of Wallflower flowers that fell from the air.

The flower continued to float on the gorilla's body, until then he landed on it.

" ....." somehow Altair felt very sad, as if there was a sense of loneliness entering his heart.

For a while he was silent, and then he said. " ....Well, he died right away. We just continue the journey." said Altair after doing that, he walked first to take back his spear.

His other friends were aware of his gloomy expression just now, yet no one could do anything, so they simply nodded in agreement with his words. After all the longer they waste time the worse, they will only waste energy if it is like that.

They resumed their steps inside the castle, until they reached the last floor. In front of another door, Altair opened it.

The first thing they saw when the door opened was a huge hall. With the pillars supporting the room without walls in that place, they could see everywhere if it was like that.

Also, this is the room with the coldest air and unique among others. And there were snowflakes floating in the air, they didn't fall but they didn't fly away. It really is a beautiful sight that deserves to be enjoyed if there is no danger in this place.

" Huh... Is he really here??" ask Yi there.

Altair who heard it then said. " He should be here."

When another voice then sounded there, [Welcome to my place.']

Hearing that voice, they immediately turned to him in surprise. And in front of them, right above a throne sat someone they had been looking for from the beginning.

The mastermind of this winter...
