The Legend Of Ling: An Amazing Journey Will Begin
Chapter 9: A Fun Campground

A few days passed quickly. The camping schedule has arrived. I was assigned to bring a pot, a boiler, and the silks used for camping. We gathered in the field waiting for the other students to arrive. The school field is filled with tourist buses that are lined up neatly and ready to leave. We then picked up our luggage and put it in the truck. A few minutes later, we got on the bus as all the students had already arrived. The 60km journey was ready for us. We passed through the crowded streets of the capital. After that, we entered the Jagorawi toll road connecting Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi.

We enjoyed the trip with a happy heart. Some were sleeping, some were chatting, and also some were enjoying the snacks. I was tired enough to lean on the chair and get ready for bed. “Hei, Roy! I thought you'd enjoy the view?” ask Layla who is next to me. “Hoaam!! I'm so sleepy. Better to sleep now than to sleep when the event starts.” “Yes, it's up to you!” timpale.

I fell asleep so fast that I didn't realize we had arrived at the camp. I got up from my seat and got off the bus. “Alright kids! grab your bags and luggage, yes!” said Bu Ayu. We also took our bags and luggage in the truck. After we finished taking out all the goods, we entered the campground. Shady trees filled most of the campground. It also appears a simple cottage made of concrete as a buffer and foundation, roofed but without walls.

We put our luggage there for a while. After that, we set up a tent. “Roy, Shuaib, Aaron! Hold the stick tight! Otherwise, this tent cannot stand!” exclaim Azrul, my group leader. Me and my two friends were assigned to hold the scout stick that would be used as a pillar so that the tent could stand upright. Meanwhile, Asep stuck a wooden stake with a hammer. Then, Azrul wrapped the rope to the stake and tent so as not to waver when blown by the wind. When we finished, we took our bags and stuff and put them in the tent.

Evening arrived, we all prayed Maghrib berjama’ah in a simple cottage near the gate. Finished Maghrib prayer, we continue our activities with dinner and prayer Isya berjama’ah. When it was finished, it rained quite heavily. We rushed back to our tents. All the students fell asleep, not least of all me. A few hours later, I woke up wanting to pee. I got out of the tent and went to the bathroom quite a distance away. I passed through a field full of grass at foot-high. After I finished peeing, I went back to the tent.

The figure did not answer and immediately ran in a storm. He fell down and dropped a suitcase. “Hey, where are you going?!!” He ran back and left his suitcase. I picked up and opened the suitcase he left behind. “Which is right, this is unlocked?” muttered. When the suitcase opened, I saw 5 stones of various colors with different patterns. “What is this?" while looking at the five stones carefully.

There is a red stone patterned bird like a phoenix, yellow stone patterned tiger, green stone patterned cobra, brown stone patterned scorpion, and, and the last one is grayish-white with a eagle pattern that looks like a garuda. “Six stones that can glow with different colors and patterns. This is very abnormal.” I put all the stones in my suitcase and took them back to camp. But just two steps, I slipped and hit a very hard rock. All the stones came out of the suitcase due to the great impact with the ground. While enduring the pain of bleeding in the head, I tried to collect the scattered stones. My blood dripped onto all the stones. Soon, my head was dizzy and I fainted.

With my head still dizzy, I heard the teacher and friends calling out to me. “Roy! Where are you?! Roy!” they were looking for me. “Bu Ayu, it's Roy lying near the river!” exclamation Layla. They also approached me. “Roy, thank goodness you survived! I thought something happened!” layla said as she pulled my hands together for me to get up. “Yeah, thank you. What the hell's going on? Why are all my wounds healed. As I remember I was carrying a suitcase of strange stones, then I slipped and hit my head on a very hard rock,” I said. “I think you're dreaming, Roy! Besides, there's no suitcase around you. Maybe you just sleepwalk,” Layla said soothingly.

“Alright, then let's go back to camp!” exclaim Bu Ayu. We all went back to camp. We continued our camping activities. Today is the time to explore the forest. We also brought water bottles and food supplies wrapped in oil paper and put in a scraping.  We started out of the camp and headed for the path that led us into the forest. We walked for 2 hours. But we are not out of the forest yet. “Bu Ayu, how is this?” my many. “Sorry kids, I think Mom's lost. There is also no signal here, so we cannot call for help,” he replied. “Then, we will be stuck here forever? No!! I don't want to be eaten by a tiger!!” layla shouts hysterically. It made all the students panic. “Quiet, kids! We will find a way out,” said Bu Ayu calming. After that, an unexpected figure appeared before us.
