Chapter 2: The Legend of the Diviner's Family

When I was a kid, I heard this story from my mom a lot. Once upon a time, Ling Fujirou, a prominent magician and fortune teller, had 2 children. The female is named Ling Annchi and the male is named Chen Fujirou. The girl was taught how to predict. The boy was taught magic and how to fight. For generations, the two families lived side by side. But either way because of an incident, Ling and Fujirou's family separated.

The Ling family chose to settle in the land called the land of bamboo curtains today. Meanwhile, the Fujirou Family chose to wander to help people use their magic. However, a tragic thing happened to the Fujirou family. They were all killed by an evil demon, Kurogakejigumo. The last descendant of the Fujirou family, Rey Fujirou sealed Kurogakejigumo in a magical artifact called Gold Prison. As of now, there is no known whereabouts of Rey Fujirou and her magical artifacts. “Good kids, let's start class today!” exclaim Master teacher disperse my daydream.

“Today, we have a new friend. Ayumi, introduce yourself!” Then a long black haired girl entered. He wore a short-sleeved black shirt with a white pattern around the neck combined with a pink skirt matching the color of his shoes and a knit hat aka bobble hat in black. He was standing next to the teacher who was wearing a light brown uniform. “Hai, introduce me Ayumi. I just moved from Japan,” he said in somewhat broken Chinese.

Even so, all the children nodded, understanding what Ayumi said. “Alright Ayumi, please sit in an empty chair,” said the teacher softly. Ayumi looks for a chair that looks empty. He chose the empty seat next to me, “Mu teacher, I want to sit here!” “Good. Everyone, please befriend Ayumi yes!!” said the teacher. “Good!!” all the children said in unison. “Good...” I said lazily. Ayumi sat next to me.

“Krying!!” The break bell rings. I rushed to the cafeteria to buy my favorite snack, a chicken burger containing flat-shaped chicken meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and a delicious sauce. But I haven't gotten out of my seat yet, Ayumi asked me to take her around, “Roy, can you take me around? I haven't memorized the rooms in this school.” Yeah, I don't think there's any choice but to take her around.

“Good. Then let's go to the cafeteria first!” I grabbed her hand and went to the cafeteria. I can only hope there's still one burger to buy. “Well, we're up. This is our school canteen!” “Wah, this is huge!” said Ayumi while looking at the cafeteria building. “Come quickly! Otherwise, the food will be gone!” I cried while pulling his hand into the canteen. “Alright!!” the answer.
