The Flashback

“Dad, please tell me about mom, I am very curious as much as what my mom,” pinta Ayumi expectantly to the father who is preparing to leave with a clean white pack.

“Sorry Ayumi I want to go to the meeting of the elders who will look for a replacement,” the answer seems busy.

Ayumi looked down sad. “Father will be long, so you should go play with the other children,” he said go out and close the door leaving Ayumi who was bowed lethargic.

At his father's request, Ayumi went to the field where Ken ran and fell because of Shiro, while Chio laughed hard to see him. Ayumi ran over to them and greeted them. They welcome Ayumi's arrival and play together, Ken has always been their laughingstock because Shiro always pranks endless. They played together until dusk.

When he came home, Ayumi was surprised to see the whole house was in a mess and also saw his father who was sitting in the corner of the room seemed a lot of burden on the mind, at that moment Ayumi did not dare to approach even looking as she walked past.

“Ayumi,” call the father suddenly makes Ayumi jerk.

“If you want to eat takeah in the kitchen,” said the father.

“Good Dad,” Reply Ayumi without looking.

When going to the fore that he saw the messy food everywhere, of course, seeing it made Ayumi frightened and chose to immediately go to the room to hide.

“Mother I'm afraid ..” he said softly under the blanket.

The cold, dark morning atmosphere revealed a light from a torchlight in the backyard near Ayumi's house. The voice of someone digging in the ground sounded faint, all that was heard was the mouth of a man digging in.

“This is all his fault, this is all his fault , this is all his fault!” said Ayumi's father with red eyes like a man who hasn't slept all night.

Now that morning had arrived, a bright light penetrated into Ayumi's room. “Ayumi wake up already noon,” said the father woke up.

Ayumi awakens and is shocked by her father's red eyes. “Didn't Dad sleep last night?”

“Not really, dad slept very well,” he replied smiling.

“But ..”

“You said you want to know what mother looks like, if you want to know come with me for a moment,” the door asked to leave while holding Ayumi's wrist.

Ayumi looks happy to see her father who wants to tell her. “But why are we here?” ayumi asked in surprise when she reached the back yard.

“Your mother! You want to know how the mother. uh tapikan .. she died when she gave birth to you, do you remember,” he said continue to walk with Ayumi looking at the hole of the excavation.

“Dad ... what do you want to do,” asked Ayumi in fear.

“Do you remember huh!, she died giving birth to you! You are the cause of his death!, you keep asking what your mother looks like to me who feels so lost! You want to know what he looks like, huh! then go inside!” shouted the father while dragging Ayumi to fall into the hole.

“Dad! forgive me for always asking you about him, I promise it won't be like that again!” yelling Ayumi tried to go up, but always encouraged by the father.

“I failed to be an elder because I have a capable child like you! You better be buried alive because it doesn't bring me luck, you should never have been born, you're just troublesome!” his screams continued to push and hoard the ground.

“You know why I wasn't chosen? That's all because you're a capable child, right my father said first if later my wife gave birth to a capable child then it will only be a disgrace and not bring luck, you better just die here!” the father shouted, constantly trying to hoard the land to bury Ayumi alive.

“Please …! please ...” cried Ayumi crying in fear.

Luckily the residents who had started to work heard Ayumi's screams and immediately ran towards the sound of the sound, suddenly everyone was shocked when they saw in the backyard of Ayumi's house, which at that time was a failed elder, panicking and trying to keep hoarding land on a child who kept screaming for help favours.

The people saw it immediately run and beat together to the failing elder, while Ayumi was saved by several mothers. Seeing the father being beaten by the time, Ayumi ran to protect him.

“Stop komplek stop don't do that to her!” ayumi's screams against them made everyone stop even though from their gaze was still satisfied, even though the father had drooped weakly.

“Have not done that again, you better take him to the village elders so that his punishment can be determined,” said a mother who dreamed Ayumi who cried. Hearing the mother's words they took Ayumi's father away to the village elder.

Several times the ceremony had passed, news of Ayumi was broadcast everywhere. Shiro, Ken, and Chio, who have just discovered that Ayumi is now in the house of the first elder who is now taking care of her, visit the elder's house to see Ayumi.

“Ayumi! Here your friends come to visit,” call the elder's wife.

Ayumi walked out to meet them. Shiro and the others looked worriedly at Ayumi who looked weak and lethargic. “Ayumi is this elder's wife being bad to you,” said Ken.

Hearing that the instant Chio hit Ken on the head made Ken whine in pain.  While Ayumi shook her head. “They are very good to me,” the answer is short.

“Ayumi if you need anything ask us, we will definitely try to help you,” Chio replied expectantly.

“He's right Ayumi, if you want to have a nice meal ask Shiro, he will definitely buy it,” said Ken.

“You're talking about what, it's clear Ayumi ate well here!” chio replied annoyed while Ayumi laughed a little at him. Shiro who heard Ken's words made him think of something.

Ayumi comes over and is a little surprised to see Shiro smiling with his mother. “Ayumi, they said they wanted to take care of you, not that I don't want to take care of you, just that this decision is with you,” said the elder's wife.

“Iya Ayumi, me and Shiro's father want to take care of you, you can be Shiro's sister,” Shiro's mother said.

Ayumi looked at Shiro in surprise, while Shiro looked away as if he knew nothing. “Good Aunt, I want to be Shiro's sister,” said Ayumi smiling happy to make Shiro smile too.

The days go by and now Ayumi, Shiro, Ken and Chio have grown up, their nature has begun to change into more adult. At that time Ayumi and Shiro went to the next area because they were looking for something, they went to the market to look for it during the day.

An angry voice sounded from one of the shops in the market. “Hey quickly go from here, if you continue to be here even no visitors come!” the tavern owner shouted at a man in a dirty, shabby shirt.

Ayumi and Shiro looked at the voice, and suddenly Ayumi was surprised to see the evicted man eating the meat from stealing the ass. “Because you're fast going there, I'm glad that you're leaving!” the shop owner.

Ayumi immediately ran over to the man and protected him from the rude shopkeeper, seeing Ayumi who had gone from Shiro's presence instead pensively looking at him.

“Please don't hurt my father, what he has stolen will I pay!” yelled Ayumi as she approached the shop owner.

“Your father said! He is just a madman who roams the area here, do not make up for it let me drive him from here,” replied the warden.

“Please let me take care of it!” ayumi shouted expectantly making the hearts of the people slightly melt.

“As far as you are important you take him away from here,” he replied and then entered the store.

Shiro who had been pensively immediately ran over. “Ayumi why are you protecting this madman?” tanya Shiro pointed.

“Do not say that, he is my father ..!” yelled Ayumi furiously.

Shiro was immediately flabbergasted when he saw that the person behind Ayumi was standing and wanted to hit Ayumi with a stone in his hand.

“Ayumi! Watch out!” shiro shouted immediately pulled Ayumi's hand to dodge and immediately kicked the person's stomach until it fell.

“Dad!” ayumi shouted in shock at seeing Shiro willingly do so.

It did not stop there Ayumi's father threw the stone and instead aimed at Ayumi's face, lucky to quickly catch the stone and instead make his hand bleed. Ayumi tried to take cover with her right wrist.

Shiro gets angry and wants to hit again, but is soon confronted by Ayumi. Suddenly the father shouted and fled away, seeing that of course made Ayumi want to chase after him.

“Dad don't run, I'm Ayumi your son,” he said about to run.

“Ayumi stop!” shiro said as he caught his left wrist.

“Shiro release! You've gone too far, you don't have to interfere and let me go after my father!” yelled Ayumi trying to take off Shiro's grip.

“Cih .. Your father you said! He is no longer your father, he no longer knows you, even he almost harmed you Ayumi!” shouts Shiro at once so that he silently looked at Shiro.

“Beware Ayumi .. he is no longer the father you know, did you forget what he did when you were a child, he could have done it just because he believed in such a stupid thing,” says shiro resuscitates it.

Ayumi remained still until the blood on Shiro's right palm dripped onto the ground through his left wrist. “Remove your hands from me,” Ayumi said.

“What do you want to do if I take off?” ask Shiro.

Forced Ayumi tried to straighten it out on her own to make Shiro willing to take it off, then Ayumi took out a cloth and wrapped it around Shiro's bloody arm, after being firmly tied she walked away first.

“Where are you going?” ask Shiro again.

“Go home!” the answer kept walking away.

“Cih ... basic, why even my clothes that you torn,” he said trying to hold back laughter with a smile while lifting the torn front cloth to show his stomach. Ayumi continued walking without answering.

The next day at breakfast together at Shiro's house. “Uncle, Aunty, I want to go back to live in my old house by myself,” he said made Shiro's mother and father shocked, “I mean it's impossible for me to live with a man my age in one house, although I was considered Shiro's sister, we had no blood relation,” Ayumi explained.

“Alright if you want that, but let auntie who will find a job for you so you can live independently,” replied Shiro's mother.

“Well if Shiro is more mature like you, then surely I want to marry him to you,” said Shiro's father made them jerk in shock. His mother shook her head while his father laughed to see the two of them who were silent.

From that time Ayumi also lived alone in her old house, she tried to recapitulate everything that happened until some time passed and heard the news that the father had died in the next area.
