GCTE | Chapter 11

"Sir Erick."

Elena was in disbelief, to see who the man who was now clearly in front of her was. The young brown-clothed man who first leaned his hips on the hood of the car realized Elena's whereabouts, he who had originally looked down now looked at Elena's face with a sigh.

"Sir Erick why did he come here so early in the morning?" elena asked her to approach the boss.

"I miss you, Elena."

The sentence that Erick wanted to say but he could not until the words were stuck in his throat and he could only say in his heart.

Scanning Elena's appearance, Erick was inwardly grateful that the girl was in a fine state and even looked more refreshed. Because usually a heartbroken person can do anything including harming himself. That's why Erick feels relieved his Elena is fine.

"Hi ... " Erick tried to make small talk by saying hello, the man's tone sounded like they were peers not like coworkers. Sontak makes Elena even more guessing.

Looking at Elena who was silent, Erick nervously continued his sentence. "I'm here, I want to pick you up."

"Where is Mr Rudy, you're here alone without a driver?" ignoring Erick's words, Elena asked again. He knew very well the habits of his master, could not not not go with a driver unless in urgent circumstances.

"You shouldn't have bothered to pick me up straight like this. You're very busy, usually the car from the office will come soon to pick me up." said Elena felt bad for bothering the man.

"I'm well sir" said Elena smiling faintly. "Thank you for your attention."

"Thank God." looked at Elena who was smiling, for some reason making her unable to resist pulling the corners of her lips. His second body language was very awkward, Elena draped her strands of hair behind her ears to ward off nervousness, even what Erick did, he chuckled amusedly to restore his hair with his hands.

"I've come all the way here, would you like to be together?"

Elena pensively for a moment, then nodded.

In the car, both of them still looked equally silent, Erick was busy looking ahead while Elena was focusing on the iPad monitor screen in her hand looking at the schedule and also some documents to complete.

Sometimes Erick's eyes will steal a glance, glancing at the bright brown girl, then after that Erick will focus again on driving.

"When did you bring your own car?" asked Elena, whose mind had been filled with big question marks.

"Maybe, since that day."

"Day ... when caught my ex-boyfriend cheating?" terka Elena, the man nodded slowly.

"For that matter, I'm sorry."

Elena is now confused. "Sorry for what, sir?"

Elena looked up for a moment then the girl started laughing. "Why apologize sir, I should be very grateful to you."

"Thank you? ask Erick, now look at the girl.

Elena who was still searching for the tablet in her hand now began to focus on the topic of chatter.

"Yes, I should be grateful. Because thanks to my father I can know Vicky's true nature how. I was initially sad to learn how my love story ended tragically, but my mother told me like this 'life goes on, then stay away from people who have obviously hurt you, she said, don't let them stay in your life. God knows who's good for you, so never regret anyone who leaves your life because it means he's not good for you." Then Elena smiled, pausing her words.

"That's how I try to deal with everything that happens, if it's through the middleman Mr. Erick, I so know that Vicky is a man who is not good for me. So indirectly, you saved my life." said the girl with wider lips.

Arrowed for a moment, Erick stared at the beautiful face was intense, there was a twinkle of admiration that was deeply emanated in his eyes for Elena. Every word of the girl was like magic that continuously made her fall in love with the woman.

Pensively, Elena recalled something then she looked back at Erick. "If you count my father has saved me three times."

"Father remember, when I first worked," chuckled as Elena paused her words, recalling the moment she had forgotten.

"I was once late for a meeting with an important client, the father saved by representing me apologizing at the time. Then when a fire broke out in the newly inaugurated building, my father also again saved my life when the fire department could not find me. And now it's also back to saving me from a toxic relationship that could ruin my life someday."

Recalling the moments back then made Erick unable to hide the curve of his lips.

How do I express it?

I'm too cowardly.

Know it? maybe the fire department didn't know where you were at the time.

But my heart is always connected to you Elena.

Whenever you are in danger or trouble, I will always be there, beside you even being the first person in your sight.

Erick looked at the face of the girl beside him who looked enthusiastic about telling a story, his eyes looking deeply at Elena. It was as if the whole center of his life was on that girl.

For a long time, if Erick wanted he could have gotten Elena with the power he had, so easily.

But no, Erick doesn't want to force his girl. It was like his love for Elena who just came and settled eternally in his heart.

He wanted Elena to realize that. So what Erick did was wait.

Waiting until Elena is ready to accept her love. He will be patient, not want to be rash.

Enjoying every moment of their togetherness, she wants her Elena to be happy, certainly possible with or without her.

Because love is when you see the person you want to see happy forever as you can.

Even though you can't have her, as long as she's happy, that's enough.
