Happy reading 🍁🍁🍁
In order to dispose of his increasingly confused mind, Erick came out alone to refresh his brain. The cold air did not dampen his intention to walk along the stretch of road which in front of him was immediately presented with a view of the twin tower suspension bridge, the tower bridge that became one of the legendary icons of this city.
Nearly an hour into walking around while breathing fresh air, Erick caught one of the long chairs near a garden light from the direction his eyes looked. A moment later he stepped lightly towards the chair and sat his butt there.
The view in front of him was very soothing to the eyes. Erick closed his two neutrals, took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Sometimes all we need is quiet alone time, as he feels right now. Very peaceful.
The yellow-skinned man glanced around him, briefly surprised when an old man suddenly came over and sat next to him.
"Waiting for someone, son?" there was no wind no rain without the pleasant words of the round man with the white beard immediately asked a question.
Erick just stared at the old man for a glance, then refocused his gaze on the beauty of the Thames before his eyes.
"My name, James." again, as if to invite him to be friends, the old man slightly leaned his fertile body towards Erick as he reached out.
Erick initially did not want to pierce but when he turned his head, the man with a flat cap looked at him full of twinkle which he thought was strange and a smile that showed a row of old teeth that were no longer neat.
As if hypnotized for a while, Erick returned the hands of the man, without bothering to return his greetings.
"You look like a good man." James said again. "Unlike me." he added then made Erick frown, not understanding.
The man's behavior according to Erick is very strange. Want to get away from here because he did not get the calm he wanted, but somehow Erick's legs like firmly planted on the ground until he could not move at all. It seemed like the seat and the view before him had been very calm but the arrival of James was disturbing.
Finally Erick can only sigh resigned, the calm that he had found finally collapsed because the person next to his seat now continues to babble indistinctly.
"When I was your age, I was a very happy man. Having a harmonious family, meeting my true love in this city, we got married and had loving days." James spoke as if he wanted to be heard but Erick who was not interested just turned to him occasionally did not try to seriously listen to the man tell a story. They are strangers, right? why would Erick bother listening to her?
"You see, this is a picture of my wife?" James, the man almost approached the elderly with his fat body showing a close-up photo in front of Erick.
"Isn't she very beautiful." this time James' voice rattled as he uttered it as if he was holding tight.
"Hhh ... Sometimes life is not always fair, God's destiny can never be guessed at all. My Amanda is a very good woman, she is a complement to my life, but God took it from me, leaving me with all the regrets that are getting more and more torturous."
Erick turned his head, this time staring a long time ago, briefly stunned when he heard the last sentence.
"Sounds young. I just wanted to tell you, if you ever find your heart, never be a jerk like me. When your partner makes a mistake try to listen and understand it first, do not face it with emotions that will eventually only lead you to regret for life."
The deg! erick's blood rippled violently, his heart as if pumping twice as fast, stunned beyond measure. He looked at the old grandfather.
"Hey, don't listen to him!"
Someone exclaimed to make Erick turn his head.
Erick glanced at James who just looked down at him with a smile spread, rubbing a picture of his wife.
Then his eyes looked back at the person who was shouting at him.
Erick walked up to the guy.
"Why indeed?" erick asked the man who rebuked him.
"He's senile, and a patient with ODGJ" said the man, leaving Erick wide-eyed.
"Patient ODGJ?"
"Well, he ran away from the mental hospital a few times and kept on being here thinking his wife was still alive and waiting for him in this place."
"His family members have given up and no one wants to take care of him anymore, until he ends up being a vagabond here."
Erick was shocked to hear it.
"He kept blabbing indistinctly at everyone sitting on the park bench. I suggest you avoid it." added the man.
"I'm sorry, if I may know what the cause is?" ask Erick.
The man did not immediately answer to glance for a moment at James who was still sitting looking at the photo in his hand.
"You must have heard him tell me about his wife, right?"
Erick nodded in response.
"Actually his wife died 5 years ago in an accident when they had a fight in the car and he continues to regret it."
The deg! back Erick was stunned, he felt slapped hearing it.
