Feeling Care or Pity?

Sunlight seemed to enter through the open window of the room, its rays refracted the entire room Kirana occupied. He woke up after sleeping for a long time because of the effects of the drugs given to him. When he opened his eyes, his tears just escaped, why did it feel so hard for him to die, as if God did not allow himself to end all this suffering.

Kirana looks around looking for anything that makes her die, but there is nothing there because Rendra does not want it to happen again. Kirana already knew why Rendra was helping her, the man must have wanted to take revenge on her.

"Good morning Miss" said the waitress into Kirana's room, bringing her breakfast.

"I'm Miss Sella, I'll serve you as long as you're here, Mr. Rendra says if you're awake, you can clean up and meet her later" sella's words sounded so polite to Kirana.

"Rendra?" kirana said a little confused.

"Gosh, I'll get you a broom to clean it up" Sella quickly got up to pick up a broom in the back room.

When he came out of Kirana's room, he almost collided with Rendra who had come there that morning before his office.

"What's wrong?" said Rendra staring at Sella sharply.

"Sorry sir, I want to get a broom to clean the broken glass inside, Miss Kirana wanted to drink but accidentally dropped the glass to break" Sella explained.

Rendra's eyes widened, he rushed into Kirana's room and was shocked when he saw blood pouring from Kirana's wrist. The woman stood in a position behind him making Rendra immediately pull her hand violently.

"Take me off! Let me catch up with my mother" Kirana said, as someone touched her, she who didn't know who was behind her continued to rebel.

Kirana insisted on maintaining the broken glass because the wound was not too deep, but because of her weak strength she lost to Rendra, but she still held the broken glass tightly, and somehow suddenly he accidentally directs the broken glass until it scratches Rendra's neck.

Kirana was shocked and twisted her body, she covered her mouth when she saw Rendra's neck scratched, blood was also slightly visible on Rendra's skin that was so white.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll see it" Kirana said, trying to touch Rendra's wounds, not caring about her bleeding wounds.

"Don't come any closer! Stay where you are!" said Rendra backwards, he was nothing but if Kirana stepped a little beside him there was a glass shard, Rendra was even afraid that Kirana's feet hit him.

"I'm sorry" Kirana said lowered her head, feeling that Rendra must be very disgusted to come into contact with a woman like her.

"Pardon yourself, never think of dying again. Moreover, it's in my house, stay alive, at least until I'm satisfied to repay my heartache to you" said Rendra staring at Kirana sharply, she would at least like it if this woman continued to want to end her life.

Kirana could only sit on her face when she saw that sharp look from Rendra. The man deserved the heartache of thinking he had betrayed him.

"Dear that woman, keep all the things that can make her die quickly, she has to pay dearly all the heartache that I feel" said Rendra continued to stare at Kirana coldly.

At that point Kirana realizes that Rendra is not helping her, but the man just lets her live in order to be content to take revenge on her. Kirana has made the only man who is kind to her to hate her, perhaps it has become her karma if there will not be a man in this world to accept his disgusting self.

"Sister! Why your neck?" eril said in shock when he saw his sister was injured.

"I'm fine, today you come alone to the office, I'll catch up later" said Rendra.

"All right, but what if Papa asks?" eril said he did not want to deny his brother's orders because he saw his sister's serious face.

"Aren't you smarter than me for that?" said Rendra glanced at Eril who suddenly misbehaved because he often made excuses to avoid his father and mother.

"Yes, I'm leaving then. Be careful, brother, it seems like your heart is starting to get weak now" Eril said again saying something that made Rendra not understand.

Rendra went into his room, he saw a small scratch on his neck, but it was not a problem for him, but Rendra was currently thinking with Kirana who continued to try to end his life. Rendra finally called his family's personal doctor to ask Kirana's condition.

"So how's he doing?" rendra said as soon as the doctor came to his place.

"As I said before, she seemed to have experienced something traumatic that made her experience severe depressive symptoms" the Doctor explained by looking at Rendra who was thinking that.

"Can it be healed?" ask Rendra.

"Yes if he continues to take anti-depressant drugs it can be cured, but his mental health must also be maintained by placing him in a good environment and making him feel safe. If he continues to experience pressure, it is not impossible that he will attempt suicide again" said the doctor.

"So he could try to kill himself again?" said Rendra looking at the Doctor, why is the condition of the woman so severe?

"Yes right, Kirana seems to often get physical and mental torture, it really affects her psychic condition, but for this case, Kirana is a strong person because she is not crazy" the doctor said again.

Rendra fell silent, why did she now become hesitant to take revenge on Kirana. Moreover, he remembered the words of Kirana who said that her mother also died, it means that she already has no one in this world.

All day Rendra kept thinking about Kirana, even though he had tried to divert by working, but why could not. Finally at night, Rendra came to Kirana's room, he stood looking at Kirana's beautiful face that was sleeping, his feelings began to mix incoherently, did he really care about this woman? Or just out of pity?
