The Moon In Darkness

The Moon In Darkness
Ch.59 Dreams

"why old sister? what exactly is he talking about?" muttered An who folded her hands irritated.

"maybe we're talking about the mastermind behind all this Miss." Lang replied and spontaneously gave a few pieces.

"why indeed? did he not help the slaves? he also threw the guilty nobles into prison." annoyed the girl and kept her snacks away.

"that's true, but he should pay attention to the surrounding environment as well, if he hadn't made the fire too big and hard to put out, maybe some of the people's houses would have survived," Shu paused her speech because she saw the look on An's unfriendly face.

"but I also agree with that person being fair to criminals! he saved innocent people, didn't he?" he continued, asking Lang for help to explain, but unfortunately the man did not understand and even nodded his head.

An could only sigh at it and start snacking on the cut fruit given. But for some reason, An's feelings were always agitated, not knowing what was wrong there, he continued to look towards the empty tea glass he had been drinking.

The girl raised her glass back and pretended to drink to sniff the glass, "the smell is familiar, but this is not the tea I used to drink.."

"can you pour the tea?" pinta An to the servant who had served her needs, she did not know the servant, the servant looked very calm and did not look at her at all with a cynical look, it was too quiet and made him feel uncomfortable.

He kept watching the waiter as he poured his tea, nothing was wrong, the smell was still the same. But quickly An's eyes caught a small tattoo on his neck in the form of a black lotus flower.

"hey, I just saw you first, are you new?" an said as he brought his face closer to the waiter.

With a little surprise, the servant girl distanced her face and did not allow An to come any closer, "i work in the main pavilion Miss, I rarely go out, this is the first time.."

"oh well I understand." cut off An, he then glanced at Lang and Shu to give a look that seemed to say to be alert, the two of them nodding a sign of understanding.

Just as the waiter wants to make some new tea, Shu follows him and allows Lang to stay by An's side.

"you sensed it? it doesn't seem like she's an ordinary servant." whispered An calmly.

"yes Miss, that person has a high level of Chi and can hide it well." Lang said softly.

"can you see it?" an was a bit surprised.

Lang shook his head and brought his face closer together, "I can smell it, just like you now have a fairly dense aroma." he then put his face away, and give a sign that this secret is unknown to others.

"the aroma can be so.."

Before long, Chyou came out of the tent associated with An's tent, behind the man there were several soldiers, one of the soldiers managed to make An widen his eyes and raise his emotions.

The white masked man who had the black lotus symbol under his right eye, was very familiar in An's eyes. The man was one of Bao's aunt's men in his dream, as well as one of the masterminds behind the 'himself' death'.

Due to staring too sharply, An's eyes met the man's eyes, he narrowed his eyes slightly and nodded slowly. Wanting that he did not return the nod, but to eliminate all suspicion, he also nodded his head and waved his hand at Chyou.

After they came out, An focused his gaze on Lang and asked cynically, "who is he?"

"if you ask about the masked man, he is the first commander of Mr. You's lotus army. The black lotus commander, Master Hong Shen." clear Lang was short and dense.

An heeding Lang's words, he continued to rack his brain and a few moments later held his head while grimacing in pain.

Lang who saw that immediately panicked and wanted to go out to seek help, at that very moment An pulled Lang's arm and made him speechless.

"don't tell anyone, this is an order." the girl threatened while glaring at Lang, the man resignedly nodded and asked An to come out of the tent.

I had to hurry home, the side effects of that crazy technique re-emerged. And it's getting worse!' inwardly, An's head felt like breaking, his vision blurred and his body felt hot. As if Chyou's earrings were not working, all the humming sounds entered his hearing which made An even more unable to bear.

"it's different.." murmured An with a breath of breath.

"what? Miss what are you saying?"

"this is not a side effect.." when painstakingly stepping onto the train, An only realized that the pain he felt was not just a side effect of the technique he used, but something new came into his tiny body.

"...this, poison." whispered An to Lang who was carrying him, the man rounded his eyes and felt that if An no longer moved, he had fainted on the spot after saying this.

"Miss? Missis! The master! Master Chyou help!" yelled Lang who caught the attention of everyone, even someone who had just arrived at that place.

"WHAT?" Jiazhen stopped her steps and dropped two fruit satay in her hand, her eyes quivering and she immediately ran towards the fainted girl.

"how did he faint?! how do you keep my brother a jerk!" jiazhen shouted out by forcibly seizing An's body from Lang.

"poison! miss Lian's tea was poisoned!" shu exclaimed running towards them with all his might, still panting he took out a small drawstring bag filled with poison powder, "a servant put this poison on the tea that Miss, Young master drank!"

"what did you say?" press Chyou, with those two words, everyone who was there shuddered in horror, they then focused their gaze on Chyou who showed anger on his face.

"a servant put this poison in Miss Lian's tea." repeated Shu who felt nauseous due to the aura that Chyou was emphasizing around the place.

He could only fall silent, he glanced at the poison and refocused his attention on An's pale and hot body, Jiazhen then gave the body of her sister to Chyou and reattached the sword on her waist.

"find that man, lest I intervene and kill all the servants who come here." said Chyou who spoke flatly, the corner of his eyes wrinkled and blood vessels looked tense at his neck.

Slowly the aura he exuded disappeared and all the soldiers could breathe a sigh of relief.

"go ahead, Chief." said Jiazhen who tried to hold back her emotions, inversely proportional to Chyou who had looked calm, this one man actually showed anger on his face, his eyes bulging and his jaw stiffening.

With steady steps, he approached Shu and Lang, "one of you, come with me." he ordered Shu to join him in capturing the servant.

Lang then thought about what An said in the tent, he wanted to say if there was anyone who could be suspected, but his instinct told him not to talk about anything.

"why? you want to say something?" chyou asked without looking at her because she was still protecting An's head from the shock of the carriage, she would take An on a horse, but Lang forbade her because it could endanger the girl's safety.

"no. there is no chairman. I'm just.worrying about Miss.." said Lang, her brown eyes quivering as she looked at the girl in front of her.

"you don't have to worry about my sister, your job here is to protect her, and you've already made a negligence one time" Chyou looked up his head and looked cynically at Lang.

I didn't kill them because Lian seemed to like it very much, if only something had happened to my sister..'

"i hope you and your friend don't make the second mistake. Because there's no reason for me not to kill you on the second chance." continued Chyou still scrunched his face.

"good Chairman, once again forgive me." Lang lowered his head, unable to look at the two people in front of him.

whereas this was the first time we met after such a long time, what use would the promise be if I let my master suffer?' inner Lang who was annoyed with himself.

Moments later they reached the gate of the Wu residence, seen some servants who had been waiting there, Xia referred to in it.

With a happy heart he wanted to welcome the arrival of his master, but all he got was the body of a girl who had drooped weakly in the arms of her own brother.

"call healers! hurry up!" chyou shouted as he ran towards the pavilion.

Xia who saw that was coming along with the butler went to the Wu family medicine place and called physician Chang to go to the bamboo pavilion, the place where An lived.
