80. Is this karma ?
In the corner of a cafe in the city of Medan, a woman sat pensively alone, stirring her drink without enthusiasm. He was still wearing work clothes, there was no passion in his face that looked just sluggishness.
"I'm sorry..wait a minute ?" a man who was none other than Niko, came over and sat facing each other.
"Lumayan, 15 minutes," Vita replied briefly.
"What are you talking about, sweetie. Seriously it seems," asked Niko with a cheerful smile, after she ordered a capucino to the waiter.
Vita seemed to be bowed still for quite a while, while taking a heavy breath she said. "I'm pregnant, Ko."
Niko was stunned, her smile slowly fading, she stared intently at Vita. "You're kidding, aren't you Vit, deliberately reasoning to reject me ?"
Vita shook her head. "I'm serious, Ko.a I'm sorry," Vita started sobbing, unable to stem her tears.
"Shit's." Niko breaks the table, until the drinks on the table squirt. Looks like the other people at the other table turned to his desk.
Vita is surprised to see Niko's reaction.
The two were silent for a moment, as the waiter came to deliver drinks for Niko.
"Vit, I didn't expect you to go that far with that jerk, I think you know the self-limits, why you're so cheap" Niko looked riled up, there was a disappointed look on her face.
"You said you'd accept me for who I am" Vita defended herself. "Yes, I am ready to accept you as you are in the sense of your widowed status, accepting your ambitions in career. It's not like this" explained Niko.
"Does that jerk already know ?" ask Niko.
Vita shook her head. "He's abroad."
"But now that my hopes are shattered, I'm retreating Vit..." Niko got up from her seat, staring with a hard to decipher bead. "Vita, sorry I had to go. May you have the best path to your troubles."
Niko hurriedly left the cafe, and even the drink had not been touched at all. The look in his eyes implied anger, disappointment, sadness. He got into the car by slamming the door, leaving the parking area, driving his car at full speed splitting the streets dimly dimmed at night.
"Look..." Vita was stuck, seeing Niko who stepped up to leave her. He cried sobbing, his chest felt tight. The only person close to her is now gone from her life.
Long enough Vita sat down, to calm down first. He is now alone, his parents do not care, his best friend left him. There is no more Vita who is active, dynamic, perfectionist. All that exists now is a fragile, weak figure.

Vita enters her apartment with a lunglai. He sat down drooping on the couch holding his stomach. At the moment he really wants an asinan rujak.
He recalls first, during Athaya's pregnancy, Arya was always on standby to obey his craving, pampering him. Without complaining though tired, he wanted to go out even though midnight looking for the food he wanted .

Niko's story, I end in this chapter because there will be a sequel. God willing there will be a second novel that tells about the heartbroken man Niko. When is the release ? I will finish this novel. Arya's story is long. I want to focus one-on-one first so as not to ruin his feelings.
