CHAPTER 34. DILEMMAS

Mutiara, Sultan and Elena are still not asleep, they enjoy the last night in Bali by relaxing, enjoying dinner while watching the natural scenery at the resort at night.

Various entertainment is presented by the resort according to the Sultan's request. And a guide who is a native of the local people deliberately invited by the resort to explain about the various Balinese dance culture.

Bali does have dozens of dance names, such as cendrawasih dance, belibis dance, margapati dance, mask dance, pendet dance, joged, and so on.

However, of the many traditional Balinese dances, broadly grouped: Wali Dance (Sacral), and Balihan Dance (entertainment).

Wali Dance (Sacral)

This Balinese Sacred Dance is also known as wali dance or sanghyang dance. This dance can only be performed when there is a yadnya ceremony (religious ritual) that is taking place. This type of dance is intended to complete a series of religious ceremonies.

There are also those who think that this dance is staged to entertain the ancestors or the gods of kahyangan who are descending to earth (mercapada). Sacred dances are usually performed in the temple area (congratio) using a variety of equipment and certain clothes.

Balihan Dance (Entertainment)

This dance is a type of entertainment dance, serving as public entertainment. This dance is generally performed on stage or building (wantilan) or in the outer area of the temple (jaba).

Balihan dance continues to experience dynamics as the creativity of artists – dance artists (pragina) island of Bali. Some types of this entertainment dance include: arja, joged, drama gong, kecak dance, janger, charcoal candidate, cendrawasih dance, anjali puspa dance, swamp manuk dance, sendratari, and so on, modern art and so on.

Tonight they deliberately entertain Sultan and Muti by presenting some type of Balihan dance.

Here Muti momentarily forgot about his household problems. He could laugh and joke with the Sultan.

After the show is over, Muti, Sultan and Elena decide to take a break. They went into their own rooms.

The hotel has provided a change of clothes for them according to the order of Sultan and Muti.

Muti and Sultan had already finished changing his clothes, but Muti dyed because there was no sofa, there was only a bed. Finally, Muti decided to sleep on the floor.

He pulled out a blanket and picked up a pillow, then began to lay his body on the corner floor of the room with a blanket.

The sultan approached Muti and said, "Sleep on Mut, you'll be sick, the floor is cold."

"Didn't it all this time, Sultan who always wanted us to always sleep apart? Why is it now that I'm not sleeping here?" ask Muti.

"Yes, you're right, but I don't want you to be sick, what our parents say later, while tomorrow is our home schedule. Seeing you getting thinner like this, I must have been reprimanded, especially if you are sick. Are you happy to embarrass me in front of our family, especially your family," Sultan said.

Seeing the Sultan in good faith, Muti got up, then laid himself on the bed, but he gave a limit with bolsters, then put a blanket on the roll. Then Muti went to sleep with his back to the Sultan.

Since Muti knew that the Sultan had another woman, he did not want the Sultan to touch her before there was any clarity, what exactly was the position of the woman in the Sultan's life.

If the woman was only a mistress, she was a prostitute and they committed adultery, Muti did not want to be sexually transmitted.

But Muti will apply the conditions, the Sultan must be fair in treating them both.

"Mut, are you asleep?" ask Sultan.

Muti did not answer, he just cleared his throat, he would not start asking, who exactly is the woman who was with the Sultan, but he would wait for the honesty to come out of the Sultan's own mouth.

For the sake of the Muti family will try to survive living a household that does not know what the end will be like. Patience, that's what Muti has to do for now.

Patience is a very difficult act and requires hard struggle. There is no one who can bear the burden, but one who truly knows Allah SWT.

God says:

“Verily only those who are patient are given their reward without limit”. (Az-Zumar: 10)

Shaykh Assa’di also explained, “Sabar includes all kinds of patience, namely patience in accepting God's painful destiny so that he does not complain, patience in refraining from maksiat so that he does not perform acts of makshiat, and be patient in obedience to Allah so that he carries out his duty”. (Tafsir as-Sa;d 720)

The wife who is patient in dealing with the husband who hurt her, actually has the belief that what is done is a field of worship.

God says:

“He is the One who makes dead and alive, so that He may test you, who among you is better off." (Al-Mulk verse: 2)

Actually Muti knew, that at this time she was also guilty of avoiding her husband's bed.

“From Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu anhu, she said, “Prophet Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said : When a woman avoids her husband's bed at night, then the angels curse her until morning”. In another history mentioned : “So he came back”

This is a very valuable will from the Prophet Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam given to Muslim women.

He Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam warned not to stay away from the husband's bed without any udzur according to the size of syari’at, like a hard pain.

Even menstruation is not an udzur to stay away from the husband's bed. For the husband has the right to fondle his wife other than the one covered in a bottom cloth.

The true believing woman must be able to forget the strife and return obedience to her husband because she expects the reward of her Lord.

It is this law that makes Muti dilemma yes buddy, away he is cursed and close to his heart can not accept the betrayal of the husband. Betrayed before she could actually serve as a wife.

Seeing Muti no longer reacting to his call, the Sultan stared at the ceiling of the room while pondering, whether she should divorce Muti and marry Clara as his only wife or stay put for the sake of making her parents happy and marry Siri to Clara.

Their two weeks togetherness made the Sultan gradually began to take another view of Muti, He admitted that Muti was a good and patient wife.

But when the face of Clara, the Sultan could not leave the woman. Clara is the woman the Sultan loves and she must take responsibility for the deeds that have been done with Clara.

The Sultan's head was dizzy at the thought of everything, whether he should say honesty to Muti or should continue to hide it.
