The Not A Dream Marriage
Section 64 (SURPRISE OF THE HUSBAND)
Gio hung up his phone call. He saw the face of his wife who had been met red.
“What did Dad say to you?” gio asked curiously as his wife only smiled when talking to her foster father.
“You know, do you want to know?” Salsa stuck out her tongue towards Gio, making the man roll his eyeballs lazily.
“Already, you need to get ready soon. Anyone want to meet.” Gio pocketed his cell phone, then left Salsa still pecking at the side of the bed. Now it was her turn to be made curious by Gio.
Who wants to meet?
Salsa's feet stepped towards the closet, her hands busy choosing the clothes she would wear. The clothes available really made him shake his head. Because Gio does not understand the taste of Salsa dress. No jeans or hotpans not even t-shirts.
The closet only contains a mini sleep dress and dress that all cover his body. The weather is hot outside. While the clothes he had to wear were long-sleeved.
With a heavy heart, Salsa chose a brightly colored knee-length dress.
Long clothes also seem not too bad, he feels very helpful himself protected from the hot sun. Salsa chose to pat her hair and leave the child hair on the right and left sides.
While waiting for Salsa to change clothes, Gio was busy contacting his workers. I don't know what else he planned today. The bedroom door squeaked, Salsa came out from the room to Gio who was sitting on the sofa.
“Aready? Let's go.” Gio got up from his couch. Salsa's hand swiftly picked up the suit belonging to her husband that Gio had deliberately placed on the edge of the sofa.
Salsa deftly helped Gio put on his suit. Gio smiled at the treatment at the initiative of his wife.
While working first Salsa often helps Gio dress his suit when his boss is in a hurry. But today is different, she dressed Gio's suit not as her worker but as a wife's initiative towards her husband.
“What's all gathered?” ask Gio to Adam.
“Already,” replied Adam with a polite smile.
Salsa did not understand the conversation between the two men she knew.
Surely he wanted to talk and ask Adam, but he did not do it because his status is now the wife of Gio will certainly affect the friendship with Adam that has been well established before.
They were standing in front of a door. Gio hinted for his wife to open the door of the room. Salsa simply screeched in her heart, then held the doorknob and pushed it.
“Surprise,” shouted everyone who had filled the room.
Salsa held her mouth in disbelief. Inside there are papah, mamah, Bang Sam, Anna and some other close relatives. Gio smiled at the surprised face of his wife, today Gio gave him a surprise in the presence of people closest to his wife.
“What the fuck is this?” Salsa glanced at Gio, just a smile of sincerity that Gio could give in response. Surprise from husband.
Salsa approached the place where her mother and father stood. Warm embrace as a form of gratitude for the time they have given. The journey to this place is quite time consuming but they are willing to take it just to give a small surprise.
Gio followed to the place where his wife and in-laws missed each other. It feels like Joni and his wife really miss their youngest daughter very much, even though it has only been a few days Salsa left but the house already feels so quiet.
Joni hugs her daughter-in-law, knowing that Gio will take care of her and treat her daughter very well. Although impressed cute and flat-faced, Gio has sincerity that is not necessarily owned by most men out there.
“Thank you son,” said Joni while patting her daughter-in-law's shoulder. Gio replied with a warm smile, whatever he would do to make his wife and childhood friend happy.
